Your method worked very well for me, my 2 travel mugs and my big thermos came out perfectly clean. Only thing I did different was that I used a bottle brush to scrub outt the 3 vessels before rinsing them out. Thanks, Matt!!!!:):):)
Tried this on two old very dark brown Stanley Vac bottles. Came out like new. Never would’ve expected oxyclean to do as well as it did. This needs to be on the instructions of all thermos type bottles.
I always put a dishwasher tablet inside the thermos and poor hot water in it. Leave it rest for 1 night and the next day I rinse the thermo with hot water and all the build up coffee stains will come out of the thermo.
I went on Stanley 1913‘s website. They suggest adding 3 ounces of vinegar and a quarter cup of rice into the thermos. shaking then let sit for half an hour and then shake some more. It did nothing. good way to cook rice I guess. I don’t know about using OxiClean in my thermos. I’d be too afraid it would leave residue that I don’t wanna drink. I am going to Try the denture cleaner that somebody suggested. I’ll let you know if it works.
No even with baking soda and vinegar I couldn't clean my thermos but with your tip it cleaned it sparkling clean..thank you so much 👍
Thank you! Best solution to this problem by far.
Yep works the best, I would put something under the thermos to catch the overflow and use the saved solution for another mug/thermos.
Love your Pyrex tea pot! Thanks for the video.

Wow, worked great!!! My thermos is super clean!!!
I'll have to remember this..Polydent denture cleaners will work as well if you have no oxiclean....
Genius

I've never had an issue with residue. It rinses away just fine, but you have to do what's safe for you.
What about the stains on the silicone seal!?
