      That's a solid choice and it maintains a high resale price as well.

    Love the Beechraft but I must say the Piper M350 has been my dream aircraft since they first came out long ago still with the 310 hp engine . Piper meridian I think. Thank you Roxanne

      Agreed! But now I want the electronic fuel injection, and the electronic ignition!

      The Piper M350 is a fantastic aircraft with impressive capabilities. With its powerful 350 horsepower engine, it offers great performance and a comfortable cabin. It's no surprise that it's been your dream aircraft for so long. The Piper Meridian, which is the turboprop version of the M350, is also an excellent choice for those who want to take their flying to the next level. Good luck with your aviation endeavors!

    I don’t know how you determined the aircraft that made up your list. I guess it must have been primarily price. I would like to see you talk about the options that can be added to a plane. Vortex generators, coatings that can be applied to paint to make the surfaces very slick, engine exhaust modifications increasing horsepower and the like.

    Maybe start doing videos on the LSA segment, and through in some ultralights too. With the way our economy and inflation is rising, maybe do a segment on cross country buses and trains. I really wish I was joking...

    I love just old Airplane with analogue instrument !

    • @AviationFederation
      @AviationFederation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's a certain charm and nostalgia that comes with flying in older airplanes with analog instruments. The simplicity and tactile nature of analog gauges can be appealing to many aviation enthusiasts. It takes you back to a time when flying was more hands-on and required a deeper understanding of the aircraft's systems.

    Given the cost of these planes, its amazing there are know certified turbine engines to replace the piston engines. Beyond the weight saving, there are maintenance savings and fuel savings for longer journeys. Less weight and a turbine can mean a performance leap for small aircraft.

    • @Patshes
      @Patshes ปีที่แล้ว

      At what price?

    • @AviationFederation
      @AviationFederation  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment! Indeed, turbine engines can offer several advantages over piston engines, including increased power-to-weight ratio, greater reliability, and reduced maintenance costs in the long run. However, the higher initial cost of a turbine engine can be a deterrent for some buyers, and the certification process for new engines can be lengthy and costly. Nonetheless, several companies are actively developing new turbine engines for general aviation aircraft, so we may see more options in the future.

      @@Patshes An Australian company sells its newly developed turbine engine for US$85k. Can only use it in 'experimental' aircraft at present as it is not yet certified - looks and sounds great. I get the impression that the price includes a fat profit for the maker

    Price of a new C206 is more like 940K now. G36 is way over a million. An SR22T is more like 1.1M. You were correct only on the price of the M350 at 1.3M. The Diamond I don't know. Anyway, interesting presentation of the top of the line GA models.

    These planes may be expensive but comparing most of these aircraft to a slow ass little Cessna 182/172/152, is like comparing an Aston Martin to a Honda.

    • @AviationFederation
      @AviationFederation  ปีที่แล้ว

      While small Cessnas are great entry-level aircraft for training and recreational flying, they can't match the performance and luxury of some of the higher-end planes on the market. The planes on this list are designed for more efficient and comfortable travel, with advanced avionics and other features that make flying a truly exceptional experience. It's all about finding the right balance between cost, performance, and features that meet your specific needs and budget.
