In second location sometimes there are blocked routes. You can unlock them by clicking on them and defeating more enemies.
Also start using block on the axe (for projectiles for example)
And also the golden urns contains gold. They give a little gold like 10 each but he is missing so much..
-20% damage taken means you take less damage
You're really missing out doing Omega Casts - they are HUGE damage
it depends sometimes its more woerth it to just attack
i'll do entire builds based on casts. i love them. apollos rapid one with a spin to win axe build never gets old 😆
@@A.Useless.Goddess yeah apollo is good, i like it because you dont have to use the omega cast to get the effect. you can also make it bigger with apollo wich is good.
@@A.Useless.Goddess Apollo's cast goes crazy with his duo boon with Zeus, as well as one aspect of the Moonstone Axe
If you want to pick certain gods, you use their keepsakes to do just that.
Hades 2 doesn't put as much focus on just getting big damage from boons, but instead focuses on creatively using all your tools to get that damage.
For instance, constantly using your regular cast while using the axe, gives you stationary targets that are easy to dodge. There's a lot of very good boons and things that you're not even trying to use.
Completely different play styles though, I admit. I don't really vibe with the daggers as much, but the axe is by FAR the best weapon IMO. Huge AOE, big damage potential with almost any set up, and a great moveset. Once you unlock the aspects, the axe becomes godly
Man, daggers MELT bosses with backstab hammer or hold attack and some scorch. Annihilated Chronos with them for the first time

Always. Same with reading comments. Isn't exactly his forte or focus. At least his videos can be funny sometimes.
You had a really bad build. Axe can be the craziest weapon in the game when built properly imo.
1. Start with the Aphrodite charm so you can immediately get her attack boon. All spin2win damage is close range, so this 100+% damage buff immediately is HUGE. You're immediately doing 1000 base damage per full charge with 0 other upgrades.
2. Prioritize attack hammers. Unyeilding slash, and Psychic whirlwind are my personal top two. However, concentrated whirlwind, and furious whirlwind are good as well. (Executioners chop is INSANE as well especially if you have crit)
3. Crit makes the build 10x better. Bring artemis charm on the second stage so you can secure some passive crit. (Thanatos aspect is free crit up to 20% and makes the build insane)
4. This goes for any run. Get the boon influencing charms and USE them. They significantly reduce RNG.
You can unseal the locked reward exits by fighting some enemies if you walk over to them.
I love the axe for the most part, but it does _not_ feel good in the final boss. Chronos just doesn’t sit still long enough for the spin attack to work out.
you can turn on a in game timer in the settings on the game btw, super small and out of the way so it's pretty nice
10:00 the locks on the floor next to your choices can be unlocked for different rewards. You have to fight more enemies, but it still helps if you don't like your choices.
-you can force any god to be in your run if you have their trinket selected before starting your run. might be good to do that.
-also i think you're underestimating how powerful stacking passive boons can get. even if some are dookie butt, there's still a chance for them to become powerful duo boons so, do that.
-might be good to activate the arcana card that gives you more of a chance to get rare boons, since rarity is what makes poms upgrades more powerful.
-it's okay to not deal as much damage as your best runs because at the end of the day you're legit still in the early to mid game transition. as you upgrade your arcana cards your average runs become better as you go.
Just so you know MythyMoo, when you're cursed as a sheep, you still have an attack in a cone.

Aphrodite with close up damage plus the axe and the big chop, oh boy 600 atleast, been up to 1200 each hit before.
Hello good sir (sorry i can't write your name i don't know why TH-cam problem). The axe is actually the key to the most damaging build in the game i know because me and some other of my friends are experimenting with the building, finding some good ones, and releasing them through the internet. You just have to get two hammers, one to Chanel the spine faster and another to spine more than slap Aphrodite on the spine and that's it. you might get lucky and get a due boon but nothing else you might really need
So the build for the biggest amount of damage is getting the right 2 hammers for the weapon. You can apply that same logic to any other weapon
@Tobygas yes but you need to unlock wepon aspects for any of them to decrease the amount of hammer for each to one.
because each weapon can have eache of its elements buffed by one hammer while the axe can have two because the amount of damage is apart from cast time and you can still do the same if you unlock its aspects while other wepons play styles differs depending which aspect you choose. in so you get some different hammers depending on your wepons aspect thus so you need different elements for that wepon

Loving the Hades 2 content! I don’t want to distract you from it as well but have you ever tried Astral Ascent??? It’s been getting some crazy major updates recently and has quickly become my new fav! It takes a lot of inspiration from Hades and Dead Cells but plays as more of an ‘anime fight’ rogue like imo! It’s also got some really good features behind the loot drops that helps give a really nice mix of choice and random for build crafting!!! Would love to see you try out the game at some point or give it another whirl if you tried it in the past, as I can attest it’s changed a lot and has a much better feel now! :) Cheers and excited to see your reactions to the surface and it’s bosses 👀
When you are in Oceanus, there are locked gates sometimes (eg. 9:47 )
You can unlock them and get some other routes/rewards
I believe you can open the locked passages, where you complained about having the wrong Gods :))

ok before any further you do know the chained down hatches can be opened right? if you interact with them and beat the mini fight it allows for another door choice

Hades
Hades 2 has a far bigger emphasis on using everything you have at your disposal. Zagreus used to just be fine with building around one thing you use for the entire run, but Melinoë needs her Attack, Special and Cast working in tandem, as well as greatly benefitting from switching out her keepsakes during the run.
You always get very far for it not even being your 10th run, that’s why Eris is there - you’re supposed to have tons of keepsakes and mastered boon use before you get to even see Chronos. It’s almost impossible to bruteforce your way through to him, Melinoë’s kit is designed to be more strategic.
You 100% can succesfully make build around just one of those. Yeah, usually it's better to use them all, but let's not pretend you have to
The axe is my go to weapon, this just felt like you cucked yourself not being able to see what the rooms offered and also got a ton of resources instead of boons/hammer. I don't feel like you can blame a weapon when your run just sucked.
spent the whole video complaining about your damage while simultaneously rushing every choice and saying you don't care...makes sense.
This was specially hard to listen to because he spent the whole time complainining despite not picking the best hammer for this weapon when it was offered.

Wondering why Mythy wants to instakill everything? like the one positive to this game is its difficulty, and he spends the literal entire video crying that he isnt one shotting everything.
Also, hes using only one of his attacks. His others are hugggeeee damage with this weapon but he just auto attacks or spins and whines about it. def a skill issue
Well if you play with one build that melts everything and the next does sucky damage obviously you gonna be unsatisfied
@@miramaxcinemax5512 it doesn't do sucky damage though, maybe compared to your previous build at the end of the run, but hes literally using the weapon with the most damage potential, but then only using one of the skills. Its just kinda bad faith to only use one little aspect of the strongest weapon then say its weak.
@@RigRacers when weapon with the most damage potential deals less damage at the later half of the run than the spear he takes in the next video at the beginning half (with just autoattacks) you definitely can say that the build he used was sucky as well as his damage
@@miramaxcinemax5512 then he misunderstands the weapon, nobody says the auto attacks are the highest damage in the game, nor would anyone judge a weapon and its play style off of one tiny component, the least powerful component if I may add. The weapon and its play style *are* the strongest in the game when taking advantage of all components. When just using auto attack, sure idek which weapon has stronger aa but itd be goofy to play that way and then form such a strong hatred towards it without even using it right lol
@@RigRacers dude, I said just spear's autoattacks were already stronger than anything he had with the axe. And nobody is saying that this axe is bad, just that his build was shit, which is either his fault or RNG
