Great video. I like that you blurred the bottles so we'd all be surprised by the reveal too. Makers 46 was a great pick. I don't know if Target usually has OF1920, but if so, that would probably be the bottle I'd pick.
Guys, this was excellent! Best episode in a while. Loved the format. Like a TopGear cheap car challenge episode, except with bourbon! So much fun. More of this!! *If you do decide to do this again(or something similar), please give us(the viewers) a view of what all the options were that you had to chose from. Would have liked to have known what all the options were. Great episode, keep it up!
Dutch looking a little salty because Target stiffed him with a manky bottle ! Dillon changing the rules of the game to claim a win (as usual) Jules just laughing at the Salt Brothers and not even caring that he won...
Great video guys! After 46 won the Under $40 blind challenge, I tried it against BT and 46 won again! I’ll have to put it up against my recent favorites of Michters and Dickel BiB! I also tried Noahs and 1920 for the first time together blind as they’re similar in proof…….1920 won by miles!
Dillon is 100% correct on new versus old Noah’s Mill. Now that Willett is distilling it and not using sourced juice…the quality hasn’t been the same. I had bought a bottle of Noah’s for a friend named Noah and we both dumped out the pours we had.
That's a great concept for other show's.Please do this again . Has 2 mystery's in it, who bought what, & what is better than each. I like that Dillion bought Buffalo Trace to compare to.
As soon as you said something is off with that bottle, I know it had to be that willett funk. I can tell a willet from any other bourbon even with a fried pallette. I grew to like it but I won't pay more than $20 for their young products. Noah's Mill used to be great when it was a 15-year heaven hill juice. Now it's way younger willett juice and taste just like old Bardstown 100 proof (which goes for $20 in KY) or any other willett product for that matter.
I didn’t know there was an “old” offering of Noah Mill’s, but a friend of mind has a newer bottle of NM. We drank it with my Rowan’s Creek bottle, and found them both to be very different than most bourbons. They had an interesting grain flavor (like a malted barley or a different wheat grain than most bourbons) with lots of cherry cinnamon. We liked them, but we both agreed that if we were blinding them with other bourbons, they’d probably lose because they were so different/off. I’m glad MM46 won! That’s one of my favorite offerings at $40 (I live in NC). Also... did anyone chuckle a little at 7:18 when Dillion said “black and blue are the same....”... to which I thought, “nope, nope, not in today’s society.” I know it’s tacky and awkward, and I’m not trying to start anything political, I just had a laugh and figured I’d share my quick snarky thought. Anyways, great video! I would gladly drink any three of those bottles!!!
I think noahs mill is easily the best one here, that said it really needs to open up. Granted i think makers 46 is gross and buffalo trace is mediocre at best. The targets in my area dont block out their windows at all so a skunked bottle wouldnt surprise me.
As soon as Dutch revealed his bottle of Noah's Mill, I knew it was in the blue glass. Noah's Mill is friggin' weird. It tastes like peanuts and vinegar.
I don't think that Noah's Mill bottle is skunked. Last year, I specifically made a trip down to SC to buy products not sold in NC. That included Noah's Mill, which I was really looking forward to trying. It turned out to be one of the worst bourbons I've had in years. It was grainy, hot, and a mix of sour peanuts and rotten fruit. It took me a long time to kill that bottle, and I used most of it for mixing with ginger beer. Apparently the older age stated bottles were much better. I'll note I also bought Rowan's Creek, which was significantly better and $15 less. It didn't have that sour note at all, and tasted sweeter and older. Who knows what the hell they did to Noah's Mill.
Telling that once again the most expensive bottle lost outright. In my area, Noah's Mills is twice the price of Maker's 56, and 3X the price of the Buffalo Trace. And does anyone else get a weird dill pickle note (dill + vinegar + coriander) in the Noah's Mills?
Dillon is the Target bourbon savant. But what I really want to know is while you guys were loitering outside waiting for the savant did anyone hand you a dollar or maybe a can of soup or a pack of socks?
Did it remind you of salted peanuts? Seems to be a stalwart in bourbon tasting game. 'O or salted peanut shells? Let me ask you. What kind of charred barrel would lend that type of tasting note to bourbon? Or do they simply dump salted peanut shells into tha mash and pretend it's coming out of the wood?
Guys, did they change the recipe or something?! Noah’s Mill has such a great reputation. I’d hate to find out that Willet decided to put cheaper, younger juice in there now that the bottle has a following. I loved the episode. Entertaining as always.
yes - Willett switched to using their own distillate at some point over the past couple of years. The old 15 year Noah's Mill was fantastic - and even after it lost the age statement, it was pretty solid. What is in the bottle now is totally different.
@@CuriosityPublic I appreciate you guys taking one for the team! It’s probably the same crap they put in the pot still! If you have a bottle, could add it to your comparison video?
Target had the only bottle of Eagle Rare that I've ever found in my area. Go figure! I know what to make of this ... My go to bottles are Maker's 46 (always available), Buffalo Trace (low price but kind of hard to find here), and Woodford Double Oaked (love the unique smoky taste). You guys picked 2 of those, and the third was a guess by Dutch. I WIN! 😎
This just goes to show you, the so called "experts" are really "non-perts." Each bourbon has multiple favors that can be interpreted multiple ways. Thanks GOODNESS!
Dillon is such as badass coming in with the Buffalo trace! 15:50 Dutch what is life?
Sweet Gojira shirt Dutch!🤘
I love how the crappiest pick is always attributed to Jules. Hilarious. Great twist ending though. Fantastic video. Give us more of these.
Great video. I like that you blurred the bottles so we'd all be surprised by the reveal too.
Makers 46 was a great pick.
I don't know if Target usually has OF1920, but if so, that would probably be the bottle I'd pick.
Now this is a different Bourbon video. I like it!
Great format! So much fun.
Excellent video guys! Jules with the pokerface when Dillon calls Makers46 😆

We can find EHT SmB, knob creek SiB 120 pf, tons of great stuff at target in WA
Great challenge! Jules picks the consensus BEST bottle and Dillon called it blind. Loads of fun and smack talk!!
You guys are awesome loving this channel
Awesome idea and great execution guys
Dutch looking a little salty because Target stiffed him with a manky bottle ! Dillon changing the rules of the game to claim a win (as usual) Jules just laughing at the Salt Brothers and not even caring that he won...
Awesome episode. Keep this series going. Lots of stores to shop at!
Awesome episode!!
Great vid guys! Bonus kudos for the Gojira shirt!
Thanks!!
Great video guys.
Hahaha! Excellent episode with a nice surprise ending. Well played gentlemen.
Really entertaining episode guys congrats 🤙
I love these kind of videos guys, keep it up!!!
I was waiting for Dillon to bust out a George T Stagg.
Good episode! Like the variation on the blind testing.

Dillon absolutely won - picked Makers 46 and his own bottle
Saw the title, thought it was going to be hilarious and entertaining, and yet somehow you guys still overdelivered. 😂 Great video guys!
I always get a strange green tea note from all of willetts products.
Hilariously challenge. Loved it
Gojira! Nice!

I bought a bottle last year and it is terrible. I had heard it was good but not the batch I have. Drain pour indeed.
An instant classic episode.

Very entertaining one guys. Cheers 🥃

People need to stop sleeping on Makers 46 especially the cask strength they have now, both bottles are a go to of mine.
keep people sleeping ffs or soon the price will go up like with every other overhyped whiskey

BTS stuff is so damn cool, keep up the great work guys 🍷
Never seen an EW BIB or Beam black at a Target so I knew those couldn’t be right.
Haha great episode! #donttrustdutch
Good and useful video...I am seriously considering re-subscribing now after last couple of videos
That was a fun video.

I love the premise of this video!
So the Buffalo Trace was still a solid pick for under 30 bucks, great value and you don't mind mixing with it either.
We're the real winners bc you made this for us!
You guys each get participation trophies though!
the audience is the winner! 😂 we get to watch you guys and learn what to try and now we know what to buy when at Target. 👍
As soon as Dutch revealed his bottle of Noah's Mill, I knew it was in the blue glass. Noah's Mill is friggin' weird. It tastes like peanuts and vinegar.
Yeah - so insane how different it is now!
@@CuriosityPublic Well... The last bottle I had was probably purchased about a year and a half ago, so if it has changed, it was quite a while ago.
I think the last bottle we had was about 3 years old. Before they switched to their own distillate
Yes, same for me
This was very interesting.
Loved it.
Its where i find eagle rare all the time

Interesting but really strange contest.
Best that I can get at a Target in Virginia is a coke. Nice to see Makers 46 wins again.

Dillon is the Target bourbon savant.
But what I really want to know is while you guys were loitering outside waiting for the savant did anyone hand you a dollar or maybe a can of soup or a pack of socks?
Picked up a Noah's Mill a few months back and tried to drink it a few times and I couldn't finish the pour each time
MIS ALCOLICOS FAVORITOS
Sick Gojira shirt, Dutch! 🤟🤟
Dillon totally wins as a taster! Not sure that Makers 46 is the best they carry though 🤔
What’s your take on Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye Recipe? Reminds me a lot like mashbill #2
They tried it in one of the recent live streams I think!
We tried the Kosher Wheat in a recent live - still need to crack into the Kosher Rye. Hopefully soon!
Where do y’all live that Target sells liquor!?!? Shit ain’t happening here in Houston Tx
The one that I go to here in Orlando added the liquor section a few years ago during a huge remodel.
I think you mean "What is the BEST BOURBON you can buy at Nationwide Concentric Circles Superstore" 😂
Only thing Bourbon in Targets near me is flavoring or BBQ sauce. Bible belt, go figure.

woodford DO was the worst guess lol

Yes, i was buying eagle rare at target until late last summer ☹️
He/she is an excellent fit for Tarjza. Camera operator? Not sure on that. Would have to have a look see.
Booze at Target 🤷🏻♂️🧐. Not in Ohio. State liquor store or nothing 😞. You Cali boys have it rough
Fellow buckeye. Just went on vacation and found smoke wagon uncut at target in Vegas last week.
Do this with scotch too.
This just goes to show you, the so called "experts" are really "non-perts." Each bourbon has multiple favors that can be interpreted multiple ways. Thanks GOODNESS!
Sorry guys, but I NEVER shop target
