- 60gA video about how to look a look after yourself whilst living alone with some tips, tricks and living alone essentials.
I have been living alone for a while now whilst living simply and by no means was it an easy transition at first when it came to running alongside working and looking after myself. But with some practice I came to figure out a number of ways to ensure I was still taking care of my health and wellbeing and maintained a good relationship with myself.
In this video I want to share the simple ways I am able to keep healthy and balance all the duties of the household since I have adopted a slow living and minimalist lifestyle - as well as some things they don't tell you about living alone! Time in solitude has never felt more comfortable and one things for sure, being in my own company never feels like I am alone :)
Please like, share and subscribe if you haven't already!
I really hope this video helps you, let me know your thoughts on this topic in the comments below!
Wishing you a happy and peaceful day wherever you are
Holly :)
PANCAKE RECIPE
Ingredients
60g (1/2 cup) buckwheat flour
60g (1/2 cup) plain flour
1 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
120ml (1 cup) oat milk or other nondairy milk (add more if a bit dry/depending on consistency and thickness you would like)
1 1/2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon olive oil or canola oil or melted coconut oil, plus additional for cooking the pancakes (i used olive oil in them but coconut oil to fry)
Method
1. If you’d like to keep the pancakes warm between batches, preheat the oven to 95 degrees c/200 degrees F.
2. In the bottom of a large mixing bowl, whisk together the buckwheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon , and salt.
3. Once combined whisk into the dry mix the oat milk, maple syrup, oil.
4. By hand with a spatula or wooden spoon, stir the batter gently, just until the flour disappears. The mixture should start to look smooth and thicken up. Set the bowl aside and let it rest for a few minutes while you heat the pan.
5. Heat a large nonstick pan or griddle over medium-low heat. Once the pan is fully heated lightly add in a little oil until the base is covered when melted.
6. Drop the batter by a serving spoon (1/3 cup or 40g approx) onto the pan, using the back of a spoon or measure cup to spread the batter out a little.
7.Cook on the first side until small bubbles form on top and the edges look dry, about 2 to 3 minutes. 8. Gently flip the pancakes and cook on the other side until browned and the centers are cooked through, about 1 to 2 minutes more. Enjoy and tuck in immediately or transfer to a baking sheet and place in the oven to keep warm!

You r a wonder Holly such inspirational to others I wish u happy snug days with Ur cats and Ur hot drinks butttt no colds or flus for u. Happy cosy winter. Try a hottish water bottle under the covers. The cats love it. 🐱🐱🐱❤️🍺
I have lived alone, very happily, for the past 25 years. I was married, then divorced, my children are adults out on their own. Today is a perfect example of why I love living alone...I am sick with a cold. I don't like being fussed over. I am so content on the couch, snuggled up with my 2 cats and dog. Having a cup of tea in the quiet, still in my pj's at noon, watching a marathon on tv of Miami CSI. A "sick day" doesn't get much better than that.
Thank you for sharing this, I resonate with this deeply. It’s contentment that is the most powerful and peaceful - knowing we have enough and it’s okay to be happy as we are right now😊 I hope you feel better soon!🤞✨
Agreed!
Totally agree ❤❤
So wonderful. Doesn’t have to be a sick day for that either. Can be any day we want. 🫶
I totally endorse your views as I am also living a single life in total solitude and self-dependent.
I've been living alone for years. Alot of elderly widows live alone for decades too. It's doable just trust in the Lord cause it's a little tougher to make ends meet living with only one income.
I lost my spouse 5 months ago and now forced to live alone. I miss him so much and hope to be where you are one day❤🙏🏽
My sincere condolences, I can’t begin to imagine how difficult that must be for you to endure. Sending my love and that brighter days will come again❤️
Sending love to fill a tiny part of the hole in your heart. I'm sorry dear. 😢lean on Jesus.
Luckily I have a great family and friends❤@@daniellejames8028
I to lost my spouse on sept.10 of this year. My one son still live here with me. He will be moving out soon. He is not here that much. I spend alot of time by myself. It's a hard adjustment for me. Your video is a great encouragement for me. Take care.
I wish everybody a peaceful and good day ❤
Love this! I’m 57 & have been living alone for 3 yrs now..for the first time since I was 18! I’ve never been happier ❤❤❤ I’m never lonely when I’m with myself, I thoroughly enjoy my own companionship. I never want it to change 💘🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing this! So glad you’re reaping the many benefits of time in solitude particularly on the relationship you have with yourself🫶 Wishing you the best☺️✨
I live alone and I KNOW I could never go back to living with someone. I also travel alone and am perfectly fine with my own company. Your channel is so soothing and relaxing to watch. Glad I found you
That’s true, there are many benefits and I’m glad you’re enjoying my content so far!☺️ Thank you for joining us🫶
New subscriber! I am alone at 73. I never felt i fit in anywhere. I was always lonely in a room full of people. I find I like my own company very much. I do need to find out how to take care of me (a new concept). I like your style!
Welcome to the community! Thank you for sharing this😊 I completely understand where you’re coming from, which is why I think our relationship with ourselves is so important to always feel in the best company🫶
I wish you all the best and a good new day ❤
They look delicious 🎉
Living alone is never being lonely. It is being in you without intervention of any type in life. It is going inside and living with the Self in complete solitude. I am single and living by myself for the past 33 years with inner peace. I can’t think of a better way of life than this with complete freedom of doing housework, preparing meals, reading books, writing, et al. In fact, self-help is the best help. Moreover, how can a person ever think of helping others if she/he can’t help self. Living alone has taught me the intricacies of life, with self-discipline, slow pace, and having silence in life being the foremost things. No hurry-worry-curry in life, but serenity and talking to the inner self. Correct, as you have mentioned, it is dating with self. I would have loved to share the pancakes prepared by you because in India we hardly come across this dish.
Thank you for sharing this🫶 I do agree with the many perks you’ve shared here of living alone! It has taught me so much too and I am inspired by your optimism and the positive impact it’s had on your life too✨ Appreciate you watching this and I didn’t know pancakes weren’t that common in India! Wishing you the best☺️
I life also alone and I totally agree with you. I learned to be more responsible, I learned to know myself better and I love the feeling of being free. ❤🙏
I couldn’t agree more with everything you’ve said. It’s been a wonderful experience and strengthened my relationship with myself so much. Thank you for watching!🫶✨
All the best for you ❤
Being on your own gives you a chance to reflect on the deep things in life and to enjoy the little things like peace and quiet.
It really does, you’ve summed it up perfectly there! I have very much experienced this myself😊✨
Good morning from the netherlands. I am going to be 75 in july...being on my own for nearly 7 years discovering myself.....
Never married always worked with kids...3 relations but on my own for the last 28 jrs..many kids around and grown up people. Now in the silence... i found it very hard..could not find a purpose for living. Watching your video i realised that i may be my own best friend and start to take care of myself!!
Which i never did... i am so grateful..tkx so much❤and yes i love my pancakes...🎉🎉🎉
Greetings to the Netherlands!🫶 I’m so glad you found comfort in this video. Transitioning to a new period in your life is never easy and takes time to adjust so don’t be too hard on yourself to begin with! But definitely, having yourself as a best friend makes the world of difference and with time I promise you will find many benefits✨ Wishing you the best!☺️
Maybe volunteer for a charity so you have some company some days, it’s nice being alone at times but most people are social creatures and need others around it’s good for your mental health not to be alone all the time.
Not too many pancakes they are very fattening lol!
And I’m an older woman and my husband is 10 years older than me and I live in fear of something happening to him and living alone. Thank you for making it seem not so scary
Thank you for sharing this. Loosing a loved one & companion is never an easy transition regardless of how easy living alone may seem. But, I hope I can offer you reassurance that it’s not as scary as many people think😊 Wishing you the best☺️
You have. Thank you for your wonderful videos. Look forward to them all the time. ❤
I am in the same situation...get scared often
I know it's not the same as being married but this. I took care of my mom all my life. I started as a little girl. I had jobs but she always lived with me. The last ten years of her life I took care of her 24/7. There was a period of grief and serious emptiness. As that passed, there has been a learning curve. I'm 65 but I'm actually learning who I am as a person, not as a daughter or mother to my mother. The biggest thing has been learning that I'm free. I loved her very much, I miss her, and I wouldn't have chosen being free. Yet, here I am. It hasn't been as scary as I expected, it's more a case of learning to live a new life. Learning who I am and what I want. Some things I've learned. I am stronger than I ever thought possible. I have also learned to just do the next thing, and I've learned to live one day at a time. Also, I learned that it ok to be happy even after a loss. I know y'all can do this, I believe in you. If I can do it, I'm sure you can.
@@sandy-pf9bb what a beautiful response. Thank you so much for sharing. And I have to comment on what a truly wonderful daughter you were to your mom. Doesn’t get much better than that. Sharing your experience has really helped me I’m 69 so just a little ahead of you. And I think it’s all the same whether it’s mother/father or husband. It’s two human beings who have lived life together
Well I truly hope you have a wonderful life because you surely deserve it. ❤️
A like soul for advocating living alone 😊 I love it. I never feel lonely or alone, just free. I totally do the singing and dancing round the rooms 😅 and sole possession of the remote control just so good. Thank you for saying exactly how I feel. Btw pancakes looked lovely, had some myself 😊
I couldn’t agree more with everything you’ve said! It really does have so many perks never to be taken for granted☺️ & I’m glad to hear!😋🥞 Thank you for watching✨🫶
As a 69 year old widow, I always imagined living in a little cottage with a white picket fence and after 43 years of marriage and motherhood I now have that little 800 square foot cottage with a white picket fence. Alhough my husband is now gone and my son has grown and married and making his own memories I'm truly loving living alone and doing what I please when I please. I'm also so grateful for my 2 little dogs who give me joy and companionship.
@@tuijawilkening thank you for sharing this. I am truly sorry for your loss & can’t begin to imagine how difficult that must have been. Your optimism is inspiring and that you’re now living your dream provides hope that no matter what life throws at us, there is always a light to be found. Wishing you the best☺️
@@tuijawilkeningI know exactly what you mean. I am 68 and have been widowed for 17 years. The family are lovely, but I think I’ve just adjusted to being on my own, and truly, it’s not bad. I like making my own decisions and having everything my way, including owning the remote control and the fact that the only laundry in the basket is mine. I truly feel I am more me now than I have ever been in my life. When my husband died, I was truly heartbroken but I realised that I couldn’t be sad for what I didn’t have when what I had was so good. So I enjoy my life and live every day making it the best I can. Being single and living my best life. Xx

@@lagomholly that’s so awesome..you seen my comment 🙏 thank you Holly hope you had a beautiful day
I’m so happy to have found your channel. While I could be your grandmother (I’m almost 65), everything you post touches on my life/experiences. I love living alone & have most of my adult life. I’ve been happily divorced 12 years after a 7 year marriage and every day gets better and better. I enjoy the solitude and my own company. While I’m surrounded by friends/family, I prefer my solitude. Thank you for your lovely attitude and positivity which sadly seems rare in this day/time. ♥️♥️♥️
What a lovely comment thank you for sharing your story too☺️ It really does have many perks for both our relationship with ourselves and enjoying the little things in life✨ Really glad you enjoyed this one! Plenty more to come🫶
♥️♥️♥️
I fear of been Alone and scared .u have help me today to trust that l can do all things buy myself.
So glad you found some comfort in this! Please don’t be scared though, this period will help you to grow and develop a deeper connection with yourself!☺️Wishing you the best of luck!🫶✨
I’ve been married twice and have been on my own for nearly 8 yrs …I very rarely feel lonely ..I think many if my friends envy me ..I do exactly as I like ❤
Thank you for sharing this. I’m glad to hear you feel at peace and reap the many benefits solitude has to bring to strengthen our relationship with ourselves☺️
I understand being alone and I like me , my problem is that I do the best when someone needs me, I’ve been widowed for 20 years and I just go through my days , happy but wishing someone needed me…
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. All I can reassure you is that there will always be someone who needs you but most importantly you will always need yourself! Trust that things will happen for you how they’re meant to and the right people will come into your life at the right time. But until then focus on loving yourself for who you are and like you would do anyone else! It’s the least you will always deserve!☺️ Wishing you the best and take care🫶✨
im in my 40s, and im the same way as you alone but not lonelly, its peaceful,i never felt like i fit anywhere, when i have to deal with people i dont think they understand my weirdness. i dont have many friends,i like simple things in life, im grateful for little things in life, i live minimalisticly and im happy. When people forget to be happy for what they already have and always wanting more, the search for happiness never ends. regards from finland :) BTW try my vatiation of pancakes, i love banana pancakes i make on sunday. 1 ripe banana, 1 egg, one cup of oats, pinch of baking soda and salt. blend and fry.
Thank you for sharing your experiences here, this resonated with me too! I love how you’ve explained things. I think it really does go down to the simple acts and experiences that bring meaning to our lives and make it fulfilling. The constant desire for more is destructive and a never ending path! & Ohh! Sounds delicious and minimal which is what I like!😋 I will give them a go thank you! Greetings to Finland☺️🫶
You are so right. People have difficulty enjoying simple things. More things , may bring a temporary joy, but after the newness wears off people are often left with clutter, bills and still are no happier than before they purchased something new
I do agreed with you, people think it's weird. When deal with people.
@@debc3158:04 thanks for your video. I am 53 and have been living alone for a little over a year. I agree that you must develop a good relationship with yourself to succeed.
It has been proven that people live longer and are happier if they have a pet. Your home would be perfect to add a pet from your local shelter and save a beautiful life! We all need someone or something to love. Some fur baby is just waiting for you to come find them. 😊
I completely agree! It is an aspiration of mine to get a little fury friend one day☺️ Unfortunately I’m not in a position to do so at the moment. But I enjoy sleepovers with my family’s dog weekly which are always such fun and is nice for the extra company! Thank you for sharing!✨🫶
I live alone, love my own company and can still visit my friends and family when I feel the need to do so. I do still work full time and so enjoy learning new sewing crafts, knitting for charity and then I also belong to a bookclub. Nothing wrong with that. It all starts with you. All the best.
I totally agree it really does start with us! But I’m glad to hear you’re reaping the many benefits too! Thank you for sharing your tips here and for watching!✨🫶
I'm subscribed to one TH-camr who has great quotations -- Amrit Sandhu. And the other day was a good one: It's not that we live only once. It's that we die only once. And we live every day.
Living alone is fantastic. I go out when I want to. I get to walk around in my PJs or nothing😂.
Address please.
I too am trying to find purpose after retiring in 2020. I did elder care and homeschooling my granddaughter. My car broke down, I had her almost 10 years , so I had to retire. I turned 68 recently , but I started working when I was 13, so it is quite a change. I have never traveled and don't have a desire to
Thank you for sharing this. It’s understandably a confusing and difficult time as you’re transitioning to a new phase of your life, so don’t be too hard on yourself for going through the motions at the moment!🙂 One thing I could advise is to try and look inwards and really ask yourself what’s important to you and what you enjoy doing. If you don’t know I urge you to experiment and try new things! It’s amazing how we can find an interest in the most obscure of things we never thought of but by doing this it brings a sense of purpose through learning and growing - all of which leads to a greater understanding of ourselves and our individual needs☺️ Wishing you the best!🫶✨
I dont live travel
I have done many things in my life from a young age Mom taught me to knit a 5, used a sewing machine at age 7 ,I started working at 13. I raised and homeschooling my 6 children, helped homeschooling my first grandchild, did crafts, decorati g, redid second hand furniture, kept chickens, gardened, I love to read, don,'t care about television, I have never been one to travel, I have no desire for that, cooked all meals from scratch when my kids were home ,including grinding my own wheat kernels for my homemade bread. I miss working outside my home very much. I pray that the Lord will use me. I have lived in a mobile hometgat is very well kept, very quiet(not over. 55 thankfully,) but not a friendly place. I pray that we will be moved where we can be used. 68 years young, take no meds, jump out of bed everyday. Happy to be alive, but I have much to give (not money) time, two ears, no waiting and I love to laugh, especially at myself
I used to tell my kids I was the funniest person I knew. Also if I stopped laughing g, they better run
I made this morning for breakfast French toast with caramelized bananas was crazy good also I have never made homemade pancakes from scratch I’m gonna definitely do that😊
Sounds delicious! Yes definitely give these a go as they’re super easy but so moorish!😋
I always say this I’m alone but never lonely new subscriber so happy to see videos like this I can relate to😘
Thank you for joining us! I am really glad to hear that and couldn’t agree more!☺️✨
I live on my own too and I completely agree with what you say here. I love the fact that being by myself gives me the freedom and confidence to try new things and also do what i want (and yes that also includes doing a little dance in the kitchen when listening to some feel good music! 😂)
I couldn’t agree with you more! There are many perks that are understated😄 You discover a new side to yourself too which is so refreshing. Thanks for watching!☺️
I'm 36 and never lived alone until just over a year ago. I was able to choose the perfect place, near the mountains, with a sea view, because it's what I wanted and I have never looked back. I don't get lonely, loneliness and solitude are two totally different things. Just wanted you to know that this video really resonated with me. :) P.S. We have the same hob. :D
Sounds absolutely idyllic and a piece of paradise⛰️I totally agree with you loneliness and solitude are very different and often misunderstood! So glad you enjoyed this one I appreciate you taking the time to watch!☺️ It’s a reliable hob that’s for sure and super speedy!🤣

Thankyou for replying to me earlier on another video.I will be 64 in march,my son,I have two,is getting married in November, the younger one got married last June and is now expecting a baby end of may.I haven’t lived on my own since I was 19 and was married for 30 years but one son came with me and will leave in November.Although I have still got my elderly parents and sons and am rich in friends I dread the thought of being on my own but your videos will definitely help so thank you x
No problem at all thank you for commenting and sharing your story!🙂 I completely understand your reservations with living alone, particularly with it being a while since you have done and your life has significantly changed! All I can give you hope with is that although it may be hard initially, with time as you develop a good relationship with yourself the many positives of time in solitude start to show and you realise it wasn’t as bad as you thought after all. Having yourself as your own best friend is the most amazing feeling, but of course always keep connected with your loved ones in anyway you can - FaceTime texts phone calls dinner parties etc - because that’s so important too! It’s all a balancing act☺️ Wishing you the best🫶
You definitely gave me a lot to think about. Have bouts of loneliness, but I also realize as you point out in the video that there are advantages to living alone, such as never having to fight over the remote or choosing to eat foods that I truly enjoy. I’ve never given myself the space to get to really know myself. Thanks for opening that door for me.
Thank you for sharing this! That’s very humbling to hear, I’m so glad this gave you another perspective and the many benefits that come with time in solitude!✨ It really does open so many doors! Wishing you the best🫶
Great video !! ... Its true ... when u live w/ other people you dont take on things by yourself ... the others are there to contribute ... But being on your own is alot different ... You no longer have the others to help out .... Its all you now ... Its a great feeling too I think because you slowly learn how to manage on your own .... It is however a huge task having to take care of a place by yourself ... Although the quiet and peace is another factor ... I hope it all works out 4 ya .. ! .. Ive had my own place for quite a while and have no issues .... I may be alone .... But I'm not lonely .....
Thank you for sharing this and your experiences too! Sounds like you’ve reaped the many benefits this experience can bring and discovered a deeper understanding of yourself🙂 So glad you enjoyed and wishing you the best!☺️
I love alone for the last 25 years, was young married, young divorced. An ugly mariage, so I made the decision to stay alone for the rest of my life and it makes me happy. I am happy with my dogs .

Hi Alma from Ireland 🇮🇪..what a fantastic workout …just started but can already see a difference…Thank you ❤
I am definitely enjoying living alone: making my own decisions, doing the things I like, going off and exploring places at my own speed and relishing the peace and quiet I can create when I walk through the door of my home, which is my absolute sanctuary. Admittedly I am an introvert so perhaps solitary living comes more naturally to me. I know now that this is the way I want to live from now on and see it as a blessing that I am in a position to do so.
Everything you’ve shared there is so true and as an introvert myself I do agree it tends to come a little more instinctively to us🙂 There are so many benefits to time in solitude and the comfort of a nice meaningful home and I feel so lucky like yourself to be able to enjoy this way of life at the moment! Always open to what the future can hold and connecting with other likeminded people, I think it’s about going with what feels right at the time☺️✨
Thank u Cathy u wee ray of sunlight u r so positive cheers pet❤

Hello..New subscriber. Loved your video. 😊 Am 59 , mother and wife. Now that daughters are in different cities i am going through the empty nest syndrome. How to fill my day with some structure. Afternoons seem so long. My husband comes home in the evening. But i am battling anxiety and insomnia. Been to therapy etc. Now i want advice from people like you. 😊.How to be happy with oneself and fill my day.
Thank you for sharing this and for joining this community!☺️ Don’t be too hard on yourself whilst you adjust to this new phase in your life, things take time and it is a big change! But I’m glad to hear things are brightening up for you and just always keep in mind how happy your daughters are following the great upbringing you’ve given them! It’s given them the courage and strength to be independent which I think you should be very proud of😊 Wishing you the best, brighter days are ahead🫶✨

I would love to know what you do with regards to pushing yourself to complete tasks, particularly daunting or not well like tasks. It takes me ages(!) sometimes to get around to some disliked tasks. And I get annoyed with myself, as well as feel really happy when I do complete. So any tips from your or those watching would be greatly appreciated.
Excellent idea and more than happy to share some tips about this! I still do suffer with procrastination at times and it’s a normal to, but I’ve definitely found some tips and tricks have helped me overcome this!✨ Especially trying to enjoy mundane tasks!😅 Will add it to my list of video ideas🫶
Uhm. It's wonderful that you are comfortable with yourself, and judging from the comments, many people who live by themselves (whether it is by choice or not) are feeling the relief of seeing their own situation in a different way. I'm curious, though: why are you not living with someone? You must have a pretty hard time keeping your suitors out of your door. Is none of them good enough?
Why is living with a man the goal?
@@laurah6381 Living with a man is not "the goal": it's just how life tends to unfold, and for good reasons too. Relationships are challenging, but they can be a source of joy, and are always a boost for personal growth. Needless to say, they are also necessary - or at least the ideal context to have - in order to perpetuate our species. Sure, they are not for everyone, they're not compulsory, but this girl is young and pretty and (from what I can tell from a couple of videos) nice and thoughtful too, and that means that there must be some great guy (or maybe girl, should that be her preference) who'd love to be with her. That's why I'm curious. Having said that, I agree on the fact that relationships are not "the goal", and I think that we should have the freedom to choose not to be in one, if we don't want to.
Thank you for your comment here! To put it simply I decided to live alone to get to know myself on a deeper level. I was in a fortunate position to be able to do so right now and wanted to embrace the opportunity to strengthen the relationship with myself and discover new things! It really does push you out of your comfort zone and cause you to take responsibility for yourself in every aspect (financially, spiritually, physical health)🙂 I’m aware I’ll probably never have an opportunity like this in the future so wanted to enjoy it now for everything it has to offer! It’s genuinely been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I’ve never felt more happy with who I am and at peace with myself✨ Of course connection and relationships are important which is why I have a lot of close family and friends I have over regularly too (for dinner parties!☺️) Right now I’m just enjoying doing me but I’m open to whatever the future has to offer as and when new opportunities come✨
@@lagomhollyThank you for taking the time to reply. Your videos are very soothing, a pleasure to the eyes and the ears. Greetings from Italy. Ciao!

Best thing is you do not have to share your cooking.
That’s SO true!!😋🤣
Video is very good but I can not believe such a beautiful and sweet woman lives alone. It just can’t be
Alone is fine...but alone and lonely are totatly different things. I bet as a kid you were always around someone and had friends...and never lonely or alone. We were made to be social creatures no matter what anyone says in this society today that is pushing living alone. all these people saying they Like being alone...have probably never known what it feels like to be LONELY or feel like an outcast since childhood, likeyou dont' fit anyowhere. this ALONE trend needs to stop because it's not safe or good...yes even in the Bible it sometimes says to be alone is good, but even Paul who said it was never really Alone.
Thank you for your comment and I think you raise an important point here. From my experience there is a significant difference than being alone and feeling lonely. You can feel lonely in a room full of people and never lonely when by yourself. My message here is about our relationships with ourselves and how it is imperative to shape a positive outlook and ensure we know who we are at our core. Self awareness impacts every aspect of our lives and by knowing who we are on a deep level it equips us to move through life more peacefully. When you know yourself everything else is a lot easier to understand and manage from my experience and I want to help others build a positive relationship with who they are😊
YOu can't bbuild a positive relationship with oneself without first finding and knowing our Savior....which I'm still learning myself after coming back to him at the age of 40. It's still a different thing, even if you get in a positive place with oneself, especially if you know you have friends and family you can reach out too to talk to, even online, which many of us don't feel we have or ever had.
