I had a DL650 that was bare bones when i got her, then spent a year fully kitting out with Givi and Heed, plus added a secondary dash with power outlets, was a great project and loved every minute of it, forced to sell due to health reasons, but happy to be back on the DL250 and fits perfect with my health restrictions, the Vstroms are such a great bike, cant ever see me going elsewhere

Great video! I've done a lot of the same mods to my yellow wee. I'm really interested in your suspension upgrades. It would be nice to have a video about the thinking and process that went into those choices.

Thanks for the reply Andy, I was out on the Vstrom today and I noticed a fair bit of air coming off the standard hand guards so I'm going to take these off temporarily to see if there is any improvement. I'll let you know if it helps.

Hey Andy, how was the wind buffeting after you cut down the windscreen? Just wondering if it improved it. I have the same bike and have been thinking of doing the same.
FYI I used to own a 2016 Triumph Explorer and again the screen was shite so I removed it and made up a flat ally plate to cover the original screen mounts and it was much better with just clean air similar to a naked bike.
I'm happy to be rid of the Explorer and back on a 650vstrom. I've had all 3 generations of them now , 2008, 2012 and now the 2018 and you would be hard pressed to buy a better value motorcycle for the money.

It does help Frank but no cigar yet. It is the low side of this bike. I just can't get out of the dirty air off the front.

Sir… a question for you. Have you found a way to switch off the ABS on the rear wheel when you go off road?

Summer 2018 - must have been about the last time it rained in Australia.

    Hello
Can you tell me what wilber's rear suspension do you use (ESA or not)
Do you use heating grips from Suzuki accesories or other ?
    Nice modifications

      G'day Juvenal.
I'd think ESA was over-kill on this bike. I used Oxford heated grips as I have them in stock.
