Yup, indent in filler tube is for Generator clearance. Mostly for installing the belt on 2A. On MB/GPW allows for the quick release on the Generator to stop the fan for fording rivers.
BTW the valve cover is on backwards. Vent cup and PCV is towards the front of the engine.
PE-95 Generator intake is smaller and carb is rotated 90. The Generator Carter WO throttle butterfly is also smaller. Accelerator linkage would need to be changed. Make sure to install the accelerator linkage ASAP. Almost impossible to do with body on.
    Looking good. Good luck.

Ted put the valve cover on just to stick it in the Jeep, Thanks for pointing that out. Very interesting about the fan disable for river crossing. The body is completely off again floors getting fixed. Ted lives 600 miles away and with COVID19 stuff I haven’t been able to go and help much. He’s working towards having it done this summer for so camping, videos will be posted if that happens. Thanks for watching

Why not changed the pilot bearing to a roller type? The brass bushing is a known weak point and often upgraded. And your valve cover plate has been turned around.

Enjoyed the video and look forward to the next one. "Why didn't we do that first?" My exact words when I pulled the engine and transmission from my 47 cj2a. Oh, and my tub was almost as bad as yours. Keep up the good work! Just subscribed!!

You may want to double check the oil pan. Gen set oil pans aren't made for steep inclines and I'd hate to see you get on a hill and starve it of oil. You most likely need a deeper sump style. Looks awesome!!

Sorry you had trouble hearing it. I just watched and the sound seemed ok. What was the problem? Low volume, muffled, background music to loud? I appreciate input so I can try to make good videos

Question for you. Working on a 46 Willy's. I'm on my second brake light switch. I have new brake lines and master cylinder and I can get the switch to work it I poke it with a punch but not hydrolicly.

James Snyder -do you have a good solid brake pedal? Try to bleed it at the Y, just crack one of the lines maybe you have a little air.

@@fastdadgarage-northsouthch4418 I did bleed all the wheels a number of times. I also left the switch loose and bled it. Pedal is solid and I got no leaks. What's crazy is if you hold to pedal it even blows out the electrical terminals. I got a different style one coming on Monday. Just can't believe I'm having so much trouble with something so simple. It's like fluid it getting to the back side of the switch internally and locking it then blowing out the terminals. Thank you for your advice it does mean a lot to me.

James Snyder - if fluid is coming out the terminal you definitely have a internal failure, I’ve never cut one open. That would be interesting, send pics if you do. I’m sure you’ll have it going soon.
