- A solo overnight hike in Mount Barney National Park, Queensland. Overnight camping at the Montserrat remote campsite and a morning visit to the Upper Portals on the journey home. Such incredible views of Mount Barney and an amazing sunrise.

Heck yes this was exactly what I came here to search up thanks Aaron
Thanks Sharna! I hope it helps. Cheers.

I like it at the upper portials
Yep, it’s always a great spot for a dip.
I knew it there
It's a fantastic spot!
I’ve added the hike to my bucket list, absolutely loved you’re video and your style!!
Thanks so much! It’s a great camp, only a few hours each way 🙏
What an awesome spot! You captured it beautifully!
Thank you! Really appreciate that 😀
Well done. It's a beautiful part of the world in there
Sure is. Don’t get out to Barney a lot though.
Wow, awesome work! Cinema level videos and photography. Very talented.
Amazing! Thanks for the feedback 👍
Phenomenal views at the top mate. And wow what a place to wake up to. Great vid. Cheers.
Thanks! It’s quite an epic spot. Cheers 👍
Really well shot mate, you're always adding new areas to the list of places to be visited
Cheers bud. Always thing to showcase places that are less visited / more difficult to get too. Got some good trips lined up, but waiting for better weather ☀️. Thanks 🙏
Great video. Beautifully shot and edited.
Thanks! Really appreciate your comments, cheers.
Another awesome video mate! Such a beautiful part of our country. Ive added it to my list and cannot wait to get back out there 👌

Them feels when the camera fell over! I know that feeling all too well 😂 Awesome quality vid dude, your channel will grow in no time if you keep at it
Thanks mate! Appreciate it! Haha yea, the good ole’ camera fall 🤬.
Nailed it bro 👌
Cheers!
Question, did you really have to walk in the water😂
The fire trail I was following crosses the creek there. There is another option to cross via logs a little further upstream but it is a little cumbersome. I don’t mind the wet feet.
That’s awesome!! I’ve been meaning to head there for a while now. May I ask what drone you use?
Thanks! I’d definitely recommend it. I use the DJI Magic Air 2. I wish I had waited for the Air 2S that just came out though!
This was really engaging, you can appreciate the effort you put into every shot. A race against time for the sunrise, you captured it beautifully.
Thanks! Really appreciate the feedback 👍. It was such a beautiful sunrise!
What camera and lens did you use Aaron?
I shot this with the Sony A7C with the Sony 16-35mm F2.8 GM. I used the DJI Mavic Air 2 for the drone shots.
Epic mate, just an awesome video, thanks for making it!
What a quality film! Oh this walking in the water... so cool. Not sure if I would have done that.
Sunrise was stunning indeed.
Greetings from England.
Thanks! Would love to visit England one day. We’ve had a very wet season recently so walking in the water is often mandatory. At least the water isn’t too cold 😅.
Aaron Nice footage but unnecessary to give away exact locations each time. A few places come to mind, only a few years back you could expect the mountain too yourself at any given time, now can barely get a park at the trail head.. A couple pictures on instagram and youtube and it goes viral, too many special places are pressured that use to require research and curioisity. Take a note out of scotty gone walkabout book, name the national park but not the exact spot!
Thanks! I tend to agree. I have first hand seen how social media can ruin locations (Tallebudgera Valley for example). I often try and keep directions and locations vague and will definitely keep it in mind for the future. Thanks for your feedback.
