Interesting new variant of the Zetros with a proven OM 457 engine - the new Voith VIAB transmission would perform excellent in this truck. Same goes for the new OM 47X engine lineup, I could very well imagine a Zetros 6x6 tractor with VIAB hydrodynamic retarder clutch and more than 600 hp from an OM 473 with both outstanding offroad and hauling capabilities. I think the frame had to be revised to allow rear twin tyre sets, thus enabling integration of rear 16 ton axles. Great truck for rough applications!
I would definitely fit perfectly well for such an operation.The latest version of VIAB could be also used in combination with OM460 and 12 or 16 speed AMT in Powertrain-CAN environment.

I didn't know Zetros did not have portal axles. This must be a feature unique to Unimogs and the special G wagons.
