That's was some interesting there Scrufdog 🤓👍 I know that it's 2nd nature to you, but how many hours instruction does it usually take before you'd be considered 'competent' and 'safe' ? 🤔
If you're in an account and working the same stuff every day, a good month or 2 to learn most of what you need to know. If you're a road tech and seeing all kinds of different stuff, and cannot really focus on one type of truck, 5-6 months maybe.
There are always material handling service jobs open. Just need to find a reputable dealer. Staunton is right in between Hyster dealers Lift One, and us, Eastern Lift Truck. Not really sure which one services that particular area. We do have boundaries we can't cross, Hyster (the OEM) has specific territories for it's dealers.
@12 mins... 36volts gets ya Canbus a-cookin' ... What was mod? assume you cant change hardwired module plug/sockets due to need for worldwide parts exchange and backward compatibility....
Cheers Scruf, that was interesting. And we got some scissoring action. 👍
🤣😂🤣😂😂 Plenty of Scissoring Action…
It's all about the scissor action.
Another school day for me. Never seen a reach truck before and really enjoyed the video and your explanation. Many thanks 👍👍
No problem, glad you enjoyed. More 'basics' coming soon. Eventually I get into more detailed operations.

The fuel has no use for CANbus in the truck, so I cut back the CAN wires in the harness.
