Nice video. I ran Hyster 300’s and a Hyster 400 (40,000 lb) forklifts on a lumber yard many moons ago. Back when the 300 was manual transmission. Had a 5 speed gear shifter in the floor, and the foreword/neutral/reverse shifter on the left side of the steering wheel. 5 gears in either direction. They had fully enclosed cabs with heaters for full time outdoor use.
You know you're a blue collar "get'r done" when you're just as excited about a bad ass forklift as the MRAP. I want to come work for you just to move around bunkers on the new forklift. In fact I might. I've been in construction 27 years and I've been thinking about moving to Texas. Hey, when you get that airhorn for the MRAP, maybe you should get a horn for the forklift. I wouldn't do a airhorn but that big rascal needs something better than that little beep-beep. LOL God bless you brother.
wow forklifts have gotten way more advanced since the last time I operated them. My favorite forklift is the combilift. Racing down the isles to grab #187 for the win
The precast concrete plant I used to work at had a for lift that would lift 50,000 lbs. Our 72 inch diameter pipes were 42,000 each. We called it Titanic. The drive wheels were chain drive. I pick # 655.
That was fun! I've driven up to a 15,000lb off road and have 18 years driving propane and electric Hilos along with stockpickers, slips, squeeze machines. As trainer for one of the warehouses I would add this last test to get a license, I'd throw a quarter on the ground and tell the person to pick it up on either fork, if they couldn't do it they didn't have the sense to drive a Hilo. Never had anyone fail. I say 711
@MachinecoMachines I only had one guy fail and that was because he didn't understand the concept of the amount of tilt vs height vs Weight and almost tipped the Hilo over twice. Sent him to a refresher class after the first incident and he came back and did it again the next day. Everyone else had no problem figuring out how to flip a quarter onto a fork, they also knew to tilt the forks back after getting a load off the 3 or 4 story rack.
So let me get this straight, You are driving a 30 THOUSAND LB. Hyster forklift and at 1:40, you ponder- " will it pick up 5000 lb." ?? Ahem, as owner of 34 forklifts, including several Hysters, (a great, tough truck!) yes I can assure you you CAN pick up loads that are a fraction of the capacity. Duh!! You could pick those beams up with a FOUR thousand lb. forklift! Most lifts will do over capacity AND of course the load rating is at 24 inches from the fork face.... .SO - a forklift in any decent condition can pick up until the back wheels come off the ground, usually about 10-20 % over the rated load at 24" By picking the beams up much closer to the mast the will be well increased. .
Im glad to see an satisfied customer... Its big possibility I get this truck tested or repaired... On left side You can find a namaplate and inforation about maximum capicitite... while manufacturing this babies being tested with maximum what on nameplate... and still have about 2.5ton in rear axle with mast tilted straight on highest point of lifting... Im just thinking than The last bunkier is more than 30000 lbs... Greetings
A mini version of Mr Beast :) would give me peace of mind if I knew there was one on top of the escape hatch to make easy exit even if there is an amount of debris blocking the escape hatch.
@MachinecoMachines Ahhh, do you have any clue about how different the strengths of different steels are? Not all the sane by ANY stretch of the imagination.
I Drove A One Like This One For Many Years ! It Was A Nissan Rated For 30,000 lbs But The Fork Turntable Will Not Rotate. It Had Heat & ac And The Cab Was Closed.
I would not ride on the side of that 30k, I am also trained to drive them. You can also bend the forks with big loads. Look for Extensions and Straps for loads that look unsafe so the loads stays on the forks. Looks Awesome be safe on that monster. Hard to see fellow workers so a spotter is needed too.
When are you going to install an over head crane system in your production area ? We used one at the company I worked for ,for 35 years and we had almost the same building you have. We could lift 10,000 steel coils without any problem and man it made loading trucks even easier. Just a thought.
i work for a hyster/yale dealership. theres so many different setting you can do to that thing, its rediculous. future life advice, always try to get a bigger truck that what you thin you need. we currently have a 550 getting ready to go out to 3mile island that i just prepped a few weeks ago. we needed a 360 to put the mast and carriage on it. individual fork shit is a life saver lol.
What would happen if you put more weight on the back end of that? I'm pretty sure you got enough guys there that could figure out how to put more weight on the back of that forklift.
Ron not to tell you what to do with your material handling equipment But there's a company called combi lift and they make a piece of equipment that would work ideal for what you need and I can go outside And it straddles a semi trailer I seen this piece of equipment where they move big air conditioning units I repaired fork lifts for 41 years
Awesome. Is this a loaner or did you just buy it without testing a loaner first? At least you can now properly position your scrap metal box. hey boss, since your getting popular. What safety signage, markings, lights will you install. I do think you will need another much larger one which exceeds 25% over your maximum weight to lift. No do not get rid of the 300. But, maybe sell off your older equipment depending on hours and if the cost of maintenance is getting out of hand. Yea, you need more high intensity flashing lights.
That's a new redesigned XD series Wich superseded the hd series I am a hyster mechanic at a hyster Yale dealer we sold two 36 thousand pound unit to a concrete fab company

Awesome! Glad business is going well for you. I truly believe there are enough good people in America that when there is civil unrest it will be the evil ones that need to retreat to a bunker.
I'm glad you've invested in better lifting equipment. I've seen you using multiple small forklifts in the past to lift sheets of metal and it looked incredibly dangerous and stupid in all honesty. Leaving a variable such as a heavy lift in the hands of multiple people isn't a smart thing to do. Only one tiny thing needs to go wrong to potentially cause multiple deaths. It may go fine 1000 times in a row but it only has to go wrong once to change you life and many other people's lives forever.

Yup we have a 12,000 lb. Hyster . 1970. Works well for us over the last 15 years. (Change the starter motor once, and a lower mast bearing.
I pick 715
I've driven several different kinds of forklifts and I've never driven or even seen one that big! It is definitely a beast!!
I’ve been following you for awhile. Looks like business is booming!! Good for you. I always pull for America loving patriots and I know you’re one.
Those hysters should be driven with a ribeye in hand. 😎
That is a beautiful big forklift well done Ron and thumbs up. :)
454 - Amazing machine Ron! Should be capable of most tasks around the factory.
Crazy I drive one of these everyday at work . They’re fun !
thats a massive forklift, ive seen forklifts like that at my local port moving around shipping containers!

And my guess is 12 lol
You’re killing it with the videos! Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I thought this video was especially well edited. Thanks to my editor. Good job 👏🏻
Nice video with nice Dutch build quality fork lift, greetings from the Netherlands :)
Ron why are you not using overhead cranes yet, they would solve all of the problems you have.
One day. They are expensive

Come on, that is a TRICK and you know it. Few people know how to "pick up a quarter with a forklift"

Some money spent for the company is always a good investment, and yeah I like the Rambo toys 😀
You should look into a Combilift Straddle carrier to lift your bunkers.
Built and made with passion in Nijmegen Netherlands! Just been there today 🥰
I work on these Hysters every day from 1ton to 32 ton lifts . Fork length number of mast sections come into play on lifts

The metal on those forks must be incredibly strong! Hope to buy a shelter from you some day! #777 is my guess.
The "metal on those forks" is called.... 'steel' !
Surprise?
@MachinecoMachines Ahhh, do you have any clue about how different the strengths of different steels are? Not all the sane by ANY stretch of the imagination.
What will that machine lift? Tonnes of stuff! That sure is a big fork lift. It picked up the light stuff with ease.
Big equipment is nice big time saver love it 642
Our hyster 300 has broken down so many times we use it as a back up .

Putting on fork extenders changes load center, which also changes lifting capacity, and not for the good.
@@bige9315 well yes but allows a full mount of the load. Not ment for Over load just a better mount of those large bunkers.
