This is so lovely. I have been doing this twice a day for a while and before that I was doing it once a day, I love the company and the nice voice. The reiki saying I was taught was “ just for today, do not anger, do not worry, be humble , be honest in your dealings with people, be compassionate towards yourself and others.”. Please can you tell me what you are saying as I have tried google translate and it doesn’t match up, I would like to be saying the English translation of what you are saying in Japanese’s. thank you xxxxx such a lovely video xxx

There are a few components to learning reiki. One place I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Real reiki relaxer (check it out on google) definately the most useful reiki healing that I have ever seen.Check out all the unbelievable information.

Hi, a quick question if I may! I'm a white American, native english speaking, and I'm learning Reiki - not to teach or anything, just for the balance and peace it brings. I find it very healing and centering. I'm only learning for myself, but I'm still trying my best to learn it in a respectful way since it has been so largely appropriated and westernized. Is it more appropriate to say the Gokai in japanese, learning the proper pronunciation from japanese speakers, or to just say it in english since I am not someone who speaks japanese? thanks
My Reiki teacher told us Japanese is best; similar to Sanskrit, the ancient language has certain energetic vibrations (which the english version does not carry).
I would invite you to 'sit with it' and feel into what fits best for YOU at this point on your Reiki journey!
I had been a Reiki Master for over a decade before one of my Reiki friends took a 'deepening' workshop from a westerner who brought teachings from Japan, and taught a small group of her Master friends the precepts in Japanese! (Early 2000s) 😊
This meditation is a lovely practice! And a lovely way to deepen with Reiki, and pay attention to insights that come after.
You may wish to keep a Reiki journal (I have my 2nd degree students make one, using inexpensive composition books!) Record the suggestions your Master gave for continuing with Reiki, and insights that came during and after the class. List options for practicing Reiki on yourself and others, and other ways you practice self care (Reiki for the self first!)
If you want to work with the precepts in Japanese, I suggest you write them in your journal / on a card that you can have nearby to refer to as you practice this meditation.

Hatsu Rei Ho is one of the two meditation techniques practiced by Usui Sensei. Hatsu means to begin, Rei is Reiki and Ho means Technique/method. Hatsu Rei Ho raises the vibration of energy and focus. Its very simple technique which offers calmness and centers us. Its sad that this video doesnt have captions. You can surely google and read about it and then follow the action from the video. Oh, make sure that during meditation when you inhale do it from nose and exhale from mouth. Most written instructions miss this part. Hope this helps.

The Reiki Sourcebook by Bronwen and Frans Stiene is a great written resource for both history of Reiki and many of the variations, with detailed descriptions of both Japanese and western techniques. Hatsuri Hô is on pages 198-200, and information on the 5 principles or precepts starts on page 66.
This book offers many options for practice, and you can choose ones you'd like to try as you deepen with Reiki
