Southgate would not drop Kane, period. It’s obvious that Kane is either still injured or out of form, he has been piss poor during this tournament and yet Tony and Watkins still won’t get a sniff!

I watched Kane very closely I like to watch strikers movement etc. Kane had cement in his boots 🥾 never ran for a ball walked around the pitch disaster.

@@goonern4644very easily when the play has been as slow as it has, Kane doesn’t move in the final third. When he does, it’s so slow and (minimal) he actually cuts the passing lane off. It’s called hiding.
@@goonern4644you want the ball, you’ll get it. If you don’t, you won’t. Kane isn’t fit. The forward play has been laboured because he can’t move the centre backs in any direction. They’re allowed to stand and stay in shape. Everyone in the England team behind him then has four or five opposition defenders in front of them that aren’t moving and can stay in shape. It’s all basic stuff.
Media and people need to stop this nonsense of Harry Kane might be injured etc. Harry Kane is fit, it is just that Kane is just that SLOW; Kane keeps dropping back to get involved because he knows he CAN’T run in behind defenders or the channels.

Jason mate, we're only in the semis because of a moment of brilliance from arguably the best midfielder on the planet. Not because of Southgate. If England are to win this tournament, it will be in despite of him, not because of him. And everyone knows this.
Saka and his goal was pivotal. Fortuitous draw and some decent penalties. Southgate a spectator. England wont win it without a manager that can be dynamic and change things before his hand is forced.

I agree with O'Hara, not won anything, and apart from France in 2018 the winning teams have not been great at all.
So England with the squad they had the for last 4-6 years should have done better !!

There were other players who were now in the team but weren’t good enough to really play. So no, they didn’t have the same team. I don’t know what the Belgium team was. I only know the Spain team wel because I’m from Spain. But I guess it’s enough to show you’re at least chatting half shite

kane is fit. he has been moving like that for 2-3 years. remember when rooney was 29-30 and moved like 35? it’s happening with kane right now. they both stubbornly started to come in deep because they know they werent affecting the game further anymore. just like rooney was, unless he’s unmarked kane wouldnt score. physically finished.
“Physically finished” only 10 weeks ago he finished a season with 43 goals from 45 games yet you say he’s finished, you’re avin a giraffe. Plus Kane has many times dropped into the nbr 10 posn for spurs yet has still s ores many many goals. He drops deep when the oppo is on top and Southgates style invites the oppo to attack but ay spurs he still found a way to score goals. at this point no one other than Kane can prove they can do it BECAUSE no one other than Kane gets a chance. its the main reason that Southgate does this. He is absolutely terrified that in Toney plays and kills it he will have been wrong for years

They are looking at it the wrong way. You have to look at the opposition aswell. Van Dijk is going to eat Kane alive…that is a fact.

He hasn't done a good job. We are getting next to no shots on target. He is sluggish and has poor movement and poor postioning. In the last match Saka put a brilliant cross in across the goal mouth and Kane was jogging into the box, 10 yards behind where he should have been to attack the ball.
It's not a bad thing to remind a player who isn't performing that there are others who can play instead.
I think that there is something wrong with Harry , he looks very tired but again they do not get a decent rest period , after this it’s pre season around the world then off they go again , they need some rest

Watkins for me, everything starts from the front line… aggressive, pressing, running in behind, properly leading the line, hounding the oppositions defenders, terrorising them, not giving them a second to breath….. Kane starts, you get none of the above.

People acting like Toney and Watkins are half the player Kane is. I get he’s carrying a knock but if he’s fit he is 10x the player those two are. Scored FIFTY goals in Germany this season. Englands all time record goal scorer. He can clearly play better but if he gets the ball in dangerous positions, Kane is lethal.
He scored 4 against Germany in 4 games, 3 Against France and Italy in 2 games, of those he has scored 2 of the german ones were penalties, 2 of the france ones were penalties 1 of the italy one was a penalty, all his other "record" goals were against shitter teams, and even then a further 16 of those goals were penalties.
He is anything but lethal and its been that way his entire England career, old tap in Harry who can't run and has never been able to run.
He's not the lauded captain and record goal scorer as he toils on his own up front. He's a shadow. He's a weakness and a hindrance. He won't be able to hold the ball up and he's not quick enough to get in behind. So he either needs support from another striker or he should be rotated and come on later in crunch time. Of course, because of his reputation he will start, just like before.
The fact is the players need to take some ownership of their own greatness. To be a champion u need to wake up and KNOW you will win. This team doesn't have that winners mentality and they should. The talent is immense. If these players decided they wanted to win this tournament they could in spite of anything Southgate does or doesn't do

I agree with Jamie O'Hara. Kane should come on late, Toney should start. Southgate will not change anything. Guehi will come back, Mainoo will start and Shaw is a question mark. I cannot see Southgate making huge changes in a semi-final.
As much as the media might try, there isn’t much debate. Regardless of how you might feel, Kane will start and the Southgate won’t change anything. England are winning games. That’s really all that matters

idk if southgate deserves praise for reaching two semis with the team he has. ur in it to win not just do good so if u as an england fan see a problem, it is ok to keep mentioning it until it is fixed. u don't get an award for reaching the semis and southgate did not develop those england players. if anything, other than this tournament, he's been notorious for selecting the wrong players and leaving out proper talent but still has a good enough team to reach multiple ko stages. england is the only country I've seen praise a negative manager for something that is expected of him

Politically, the best hedge is to play Watkins instead of Foden in that left channel, supporting Kane. As Emery got him doing well for Villa. Solves two problems.
