Hi Guys, Thanks for the suggestions. We are now working on Version 2.0 very hard. Then, the AIRSTEP and the APP will both have big improvements. Here is some of them: 1. Cloud message and preset for thousands of devices in the APP. For beginners, you don't have to know anything about MIDI and HID, you just need to know what function will be controlled of your device and which button you wanna press, the APP will do all the rest. And of course, everyone can share their presets to the cloud. 2. The MIDI functions will have a big improvement including rang define and reverse of expression, index and ramp function of the MIDI, etc. 3. Live mode of the APP, Think of APP as the big wireless screen of AIRSTEP, giving you the clearest control feedback at any time. 4. Control the Bluetooth AMP like Spark, THR, Katana, etc. Directly, don't need the APP support.
I would really like to use this for multiple functions with my THR from my daily practice at home to taking them busking with me , allowing me to assign more than 1 preset per switch in the Aristep with the THR, I have about 15configuration that I would like to access trough the same device,that way I could use it for than 5 settings, other wise I can’t justify the cost of it, I don’t need 2 air steps to control 1 Yamaha THR +iPad for practice Thank you for listen to your posible costumers and those who already are.
Hi, can switching between the airstep and the atem mini also run on a windows 10 pc? There is no bluetooth midi control app for Windows 10. Are there other programms or apps wich can make this happen? Sorry mein Englisch ist nicht sehr gut.

hey Henning, would you be interested on making a Tutorial on how to set up the Airstep with the THR now that Xsonic did most of the updates that we asked and were waiting for? I personally find very little information on how to manipulate all this technology. And I'm sure there is a lot of people like me that have very little time to spare and we rather expend that time playing than trying to figure out how to set up midi messages! also thank you for been always so honest on your videos, you are a great reviewer, very valuable to s the consumers, also you are weird and funny , what else? what a jewel!

Now we’re really walking on WiFi with a blutoof 20 tap control , I’m picturing a live show where you could control your sounds, lights/stage efx (fog,flame cannon etc) and camera switching all from a pedal board that doesn’t take 4 meters of floor space and a cable snake the size of the Chunnel. I like your additional future updates/ improvement ideas, maybe also ad variable led color to better identify function etc midi 2.0 will definitely add new undreamed of options of opulence🤘🏽. P.S. I’m just here to watch the Horse fights at the end, I got 5 bucks on the stallion with the tightly trimmed mane.

Here is some suggestions: 1) I can confidently say, that an "Airstep PRO" with maybe more switches and smart led colors, or perhaps a screen like the helix stuff, would absolutely blow out everything on the market. Have the "PRO" as the main controller and expand it with the airstep or airstep lite. 2) There should be more local presets, and an intuitive way to bank through them. I can see people using up the 5 presets pretty fast. Such great power over gear makes it necessary to have some kind of "song mode", or in essence, being able to set your Airstep presets in a row or sequence that will help you get through a performance. Edit your "presets" in the app, and load them in the device as needed. You could have one "set" of presets for your home studio, one or several for your guitar rig (you could load up presets on a gig to gig basis).. 3) Relating to the local presets: please refer to the RJM mastermind, Famc Liquid Foot stuff and Fractal Audio Engineering controllers, for the concept like "PAGES", "STEPS" and "LINKS"! Otherwise, keep doing what you are doing Xsonic! Awesome, truly awesome pedal you have here!
Dope indeed. Finally something that can be edited without going nuts. Neat ideas for having a "set of instructions". (A BOOT 👢 ). Starting to feel like we need a YAML way to code this, then naturally I could think of an Ansible module so this becomes a "control anything". Your ideas make sense, hopefully Xsonic's design has enough onboard storage and capability. FYI, XSonic XTONE Pro was my first "complex" device and it blows me away it is not better known. It and my old 6 Plus are a perfect minimalist pairing.
This is an amazing concept. But for me there is never enough buttons. What I have been looking is something like a midi Taurus pedal (affordable please). But with at least 2-3 octaves. To control my synths like they used to do with the Taurus, while I play guitar. But a lot more versatile. I know something like that exist but it is definitely too expensive. Watching this video make me think I should use my Rocktron MIDI mate to do something similar.
You could also use this with the unofficial app called "THRlibrarian". You can use each button to select custom or pre-made THR patches. I'm using a wired homemade version currently, but this would be so much better. Cool, but a bit pricier than I would have hoped though.

Need some help with my Airstep Kat … For some reason I Can’t understand how to update the firmware… and only get this message…”Error The update failed, please restart the application and try again. Exit “ I’m using the App Airstep Updater . All my connections are good, Bluetooth ect…I’m able to use the Katana Air and Katana Librarian Apps on my iPhone witch prove my connections … What do I need to do ? Also witch Firmware do I need.. ? I have the lasted update on my Katana Amp … Could you please help..? Thank you very much !
@@EytschPi42 yeah the 50 watt has midi input. The mobile app that plugs in through usb has bluetooth support as well though. So it might be worth tinkering with. Because boss dropped the ball with the 50 watt. Price difference the amount of control features you loose im not even sure why they sell the 50 other than the amount of people who end up selling the 50 to buy the 100. Smart marketing there boss lol.
I like your suggestions, however, there is a trade-off on complexity. The added complexity you propose needs to be traded against ease of use. BOSS, for example, has created tremendous functionality in some of their gear, however, sometimes it is extremely complex with multiple level menus, and not very intuitive. That is the challenge... to provide great functionality but with ease of use and extremely intuitive user interface.
