  • This is how we splice two pieces of drip edge together. It is important that you always work from the bottom up as you drip the perimeter of the roof pitch. Start with the eave corner and work your way across the eave of the roof. When you splice two pieces together you want to have around 4 inches of overlap at the nailer (the side laying flush on the roof deck). As the video shows, cut a 45 degree angle towards the end of the drip edge that you will soon be adding to, once through the kick out or hemmed section of the drip edge stop your cut and then begin a cut down the face until it intersects with your 45 degree angle. Nail to roof. Then open the hem on your next piece of drip edge and slide the two pieces together.
