Future dusk! Interesting. I agree that that type of wall color will make furniture or upholstery stand out. I could see this color working in the dark academia look.

Id rather want electric yellow to be 2025’s color of the year. Future dusk looks depressing and too unfitting for the number 25.

I think we will trend toward a Farrow and Ball Brinjal. Pelt seems more obvious with how it's going, but it will be perfect in a couple years

Purple is interesting to me, however it just seems challenging to have it as the dominant color. Especially a color like Future Dusk. And is it assumed that Future Dusk will bring a new design style? As it seems New Colonial and Farmhouse 2.0 are the next styles so it's hard to see where Future Dusk fits.

Can totally see this as creative at home. Reverse wall space imagined. I’m just leaving my dark behind and to me, maybe a bedroom. Rumpus room with lots of games and cool lighting on walls. Or I might see it in an ultra chic purple and grey hallway powder room. A fun surprise for guests to discover.

Sorry, my bias against any shade of purple says it doesn't belong in interiors, even exterior house painted purple is just WEIRD. There are so many other colors.

2022 purples, 2023 magentas which has seeped into cherry red 2024 is peach fuzz but i think we are getting more pale pink and electric blues in 2025.
