We are supposed to develop our style and be set in our worldview by the age of ... 20 (?) and yet cyberspace is flooded with advice for everyone, including octogenarians, who, of course need trendiness and focus on lucrativeness.
I dislike the current pallette too. I am allergic to the palette and, particularly, to the combinations of colors that are now dictated. My art historically trained stomach revolts.
Flowers, silk, precious stones - colour everywhere you look. One of my close friends is Indian and his Mum wears saris is the most vibrant beautiful colours. She is in her 80's but always the.most beautiful woman in the room
I just wish i had let my hair go white and never ever put colour in it. I lost it through illness 6 years ago and never went back to.colouring it. It is snow white now. I use minimal make up to accentuate my hazel eyes while purples, pinks, denim and pin stripe blues are my go to. White hair changed my looks for the better! A lovely video thank you.
I still have some classic burgundy separates that are in pristine condition. Whenever I wear them, I get compliments, so that's great news that burgundy will be a hot colour this year!
Style is what complements your coloring and body type. I look best in cool colors, not pale or muted. Will continue to wear what complements me no matter what colors are in fashion.
Elegant Colors: The softer colors are elegant and beautiful, but wash me out. I will try your tip of pairing them with, for me, a jewel tone near my face. I am a red girl all the way, though! Thank you for reminding me that I am on a search for the perfect red blazer!
Thank you for pointing out that color in accessories can carry an outfit without beating one over the head. It would appear that 2025 is going to be a year of an interesting palette. I hate pastels. I will not be wearing soft pink, sky blue, or butter yellow. Fashion is going to have to fight with my abhorrence to certain colors. So, count me in for neutrals, reds, burgundy, or a khaki/pistachio green. To me, those are elegant.
I had a professional test me for correct colors to wear. That was many yrs ago when they categorized you by the seasons. I was a Summer/winter combination- unusual but appropriate for my coloring. Now with a lot of white hair around my face, I go for jewel tones.
Why would anyone think they look good in "bile" green. Calling it brat doesnt change the fact that it is bile green. Making up new names doesnt make it better.
It doesn't help that the pictures they showed while talking about brat green went from yellow green to forest green and multiple colors in between. I can wear a blue green, but NEVER put me in anything with a yellow cast. I'll look sick.
Sky blue, geeez I was a bridesmaid in 1970 and had to wear a floor length powder blue crepe frock, appalling colour. As a deep autumn needing deep and rich this pallid blue is far from elegance.
I like the colors that are trending for 2025. However, whenever I choose something to wear, it always has to go with my skin color. Because if it doesn’t, I’m not gonna wear it. And that’s how I choose all my colors. There are just some colors that make me look horrible. They make me look pale or they make me look weird. And that’s how I think I should dress and what makes me look attractive. Not just because it’s the trend. And all outfits should come in different colors to suit your individual taste.

I am really excited about burgundy and suede this winter! 🤩
And as usual I'll be wearing 50 shades of black. I never have to worry about whether my clothes match or contrast well.
Wear the colours that suit you, stuff fashion, I hate the current colour palette. Loathe brat green!

You have to come to India and learn about colours.

The way colour is embraced in India is so inspiring. Blew my mind
Yes, exactly! India is all in beautiful and intense colors ❤

My hair is now almost white and I absolutely love color with it. 👩🏼🦳
Lucky soul. My hair is a cold grey and I dislike the coldness. Waiting it to be a glorious white

Why would anyone think they look good in "bile" green. Calling it brat doesnt change the fact that it is bile green. Making up new names doesnt make it better.
Some people actually look good in those kind of colors. It’s all about your basic coloring. Some people look horrid in pastels. Who would’ve thought’
More like puke green.😄

Way way too much none information chat. Just talk about anything except the subject…just to fill time.
..and waste yours
Brat green? Yuk. Just yuk. Butter yellow? Okay for some with white. Sky blue? Of course, especially with red or white. Pistachio? Get real.
Is it a computer voice? It's very annoying. Speaks too fast and unnaturally. I won't watch any longer.
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Yes. Carole. Who that young sounding is named that?
Boring
🤷🏻♀️
