You can definitely tell that’s Eric’s brother just by hearing him talk. I love hearing them say “That’s really cool!”😂 Awesome knife trade at Tony’s, I’m glad y’all were able to make a deal.
Fantastic! Your stated mission was to get that Buck 124 by trading and you accomplished your mission. We could see your happiness on your face. And on top of that, you scored a few more great knives from Vic. You had a great day, sir. I’m happy for you.
I just picked up a new in box early 90’s Hen and Rooster stockman, with bone jade handles and brass bolsters. Funny once I placed the order your channel popped up on all my feeds.
Nice 124. Can’t believe you didn’t look at the big Buck at the yard sale. He sounds exactly like Eric and seemed well informed like him too. Just knew you were gonna snag that zippo fluid off the book shelf.
My mistake on earlier comment. The knife is stamped Ric-Nor and I have been seeing them on eBay it looks like a small Barlow with Electric Mate on the bolster. The main blade is sheepsfoot. Made in Boston. I just asked you because I have never heard of it.
Eric's brother sounds exactly like Eric! That I.K. at 20:50 - found that exact knife last month at a flea market, for $1. Believe it's called a Boys Knife by Imperial. Cleaned up very well. Have a good Lord's Day doc!
Great video. I have a buck 124 made between 1967-1969 they where called the Nemo. They were first made as a diving knife. The one I have has aluminum handles on it.
@@theknifedoctor thank you for what you do for the knife community sir. I have been collecting knives for over 40 yrs. And I’m still learning everyday about all the different makers and profiles. The past couple decades I have been collecting and searching for the rare and unique knives. We all learn every day when we share our knowledge
Gonna be fun..can't wait to fill out form...I knew once u had more info on details of show you was gonna let us know...can wait..I have some knives to donate also when Im there for door prizes or raffle..is there any knife laws there that we need to know about..
Thank you! None that you need to worry about. I would not bring any automatics out the front or anything. Although the Atlanta Blade Show had everything you could think of.

Hey nice trading on the Buck. I was watching one of your videos the other day and you got gifted a Camillus 1965 US military knife with a broke spring in it, and I was wondering if you sold knives after you fix them because 1965 is my birth year.
Soon. I’m waiting on my new shop before I start heavy fixing again. Like handles and such. So much dust and time also. I just don’t have the time working on the new shop, daily content and cutting grass. Not to say Chickens and bees.
The problem with checking eBay is there’s so many counterfeit spyderco and benchmades on their, that ppl sell them for like 1/2 the price of the real ones, and ppl who don’t know any better think they got a great deal. The market is way too high right now for modern folders, what was $150 2-3 years ago is now going for $250+ Cool video tho. Def a really nice Buck 124
Awesome cool video great job. Was that a Buck 124 or a 124 with a letter behind it? The 124s I looked at online don't seem to be as thick and nice as your new knife. They don't have the brown handles either.
I have to watch it all over, seems that I can't make breakfast and run the video at the same time. I just missed too much. Thanks for the video and very dark hashbrowns. I have to stick with eating and watching.
Hey doc, I Recently discovered your channel. Thank you for your service. I got a small collection, not anything really good. I like sunfish and elephant toes, looking for a nice Barlow. I can't really get out so much to hunt for 1 I need A major back surgery. Add surgery on both my knees. Anyway, god bless.Looking forward to seeing more of your vids
On second watch of this video he had an “old school” marked Buck Knife box in the display closest to him. Might be worth examining next time you’re there?
As long as both sides are happy then thats a good trade sometimes the dollar amount isnt whats important its about you have something i want and ill trade you something i dont want for it
You have to check completed listing's, and remember the knife 2nd hand market doesn't go by ebay values directly. Knives on ebay are priced about 20-25% higher because of the ebay fees and that's expected so when it's hard to get pieces we go there and know we are gonna pay that premium. That buck in used condition would be a dead even trade value wise as the native. Check the completed listing's to get an idea of pricing, not the listing's as listing's can be put at any amount but will never sell. New they sell around 180-190 on ebay, used around 150. A new g10 native is 150 bucks on the second hand. Probably could have found you a 124 on the secondary for 130-150 in mint condition. Not saying you got ripped but you provided a lot more value than what they provided you.
The Buck was never used. This is a 1996 Mint. With Original Box. Thanks for your opinion, but this knife is at least $250-275. They discontinued the ones with the Wood handles. They make them new now with black handles.
Doc and his buddies have said it before. It’s not always about the money. If you want a knife, you do what you have to do to make a trade. Go watch some of the videos of him and his buddies having lunch. If he’s happy with the deal, that’s his prerogative.
And I always check the completed listings on eBay. I’ve sold on eBay for many years. I do my research. Again, thank for your opinion but we’re just gonna have to agree to disagree.😊
Doc, when you get you new shop going, can you bring in Wade for a session of "questions and answers?" Wade is a huge asset to the knife collectors community. Hopefully youccan make that happen. Good luck, and thank you for your service!
