If you build a tesla coil, a DRSSTC would be awesome. It can play music with its discharges and uses semiconductors instead of a spark gap in a clasic tesla coil. They are harder to build but they are worth it. I myself have built a DRSSTC which can generate sparks up to 3m long!

Hey. I tried myself with a tablet and I was able to lift it up with a relatively small neodymium magnet. Try perhaps using a cylindrical magnet instead of a spherical one so that you can get the magnet closer. Try using one of your monster magnets for a stronger field. Try sanding the tablet so it's flat on one side so that you can get the magnets closer to the tablet. Try using another tablet that's more concentrated. Good luck, I hope you get it to work. I asked my chemistry teacher yesterday if we will learn or practise magnetism and magnets in general. He responded "No. Not at all". I asked again "Will we do so in the 8th or 9th grade?" He responded again "Neither on these grades." I was a bit sad because I also really like magnetism. However, Brian must be a bit more sad than me since magnets are the highlight of his channel. However, the thought that I can watch Brian's videos made my "sadness" go away. Your videos are great! Keep up the good work!
