Bro why didn't you bother to mention "quick resume" or "fps boost" on series x when you talked about special features? Those 2 things are a really big game changer between these consoles.

I was lucky to get my ps5 on release day. It's an absolutely fantastic console. The only downer I've seen at the moment is the lack of next gen exclusives to fully utilise the power of the consoles.

Not only, in Sweden I believe except for the initial batch there were no consoles. Some stores do no even accept preorders.
In some other countries though the consoles were available in small batches. But sadly as a higher price with bundled with games which stores wanted to get rid of.

I think what I loved most about this review, is the apparent lack of bias. I am a PC gamer, don't use consoles, but I went into this expecting to see a clear bias toward one platform or the other, but you nailed it, in my opinion.

Five months and still unavailable in stores for me to try either of them
Playstation's aren't too hard to get online I got one back in March. I just now got an Xbox. Like I'm sitting with it next to me in my cubicle at work. They did a run today at Gamestop for them in-person. A few more of those and scalpers will be bleeding on inventory so that should help alot.

On the sound side, the xbox supports Dolby atmos through your soundbar, the paid application you mentioned is only for headphones, for home theather it is free.

I really enjoyed you video comparing the PS5 to the XBox. I enjoy the PS5 very much and will be sticking with them always.
Preference is key. You prefer PS (nothing wrong with that you do you) whereas I'm more into Xbox. Also Xbox is cheaper so I went with it. No complaints from me on the series S.

I am a 70 year old gamer. Xbox Series X was my choice. AC Valhalla is my favorite game of all time. And, it looks and sounds incredible on the Xbox Series X.

With dolby atmos, you never actually had to buy it - - that purchase was for the atmos headphones virtualizer, for use only with headphones. Atmos enabled hardware amplifiers contain their own internal license. The real reason you likely weren't getting 7.1 to your sound bar was because your TV doesn't have EARC support. Otherwise, max sound throughout on normal ARC ports is 2.0 stereo uncompressed, which explains why you had no surround audio despite buying the atmos virtualizer - - it's still a stereo signal for headphones. You'd have to run HDMI into the soundbar/av receiver first to get the full surround in this case.

yeah that was for headset only. THe seriex x can be set to dolby atmos by default. My upward firing speakers auto angle when atmos games or movies are played.

I'm leaning towards Xbox Series X for GamePass, the native 4k support and the ability to use 3rd party apps, but MAN missing out on exclusives is killing me.
Also the controller comparison is the other thing that has me torn.
Game pass isn’t worth the money, it’s expensive overtime and the games are garbage on it. The only good games on it will be Back4Blood and Halo Infinite IF they even last long. Back4Blood reminds of ‘Evolve’ back in 2016 and it flopped.
@@TripleKmafia gamepass is defo worth it, the amount of games u can get is insane for the price, there is not a lot of next gen game yet so all you gonna play for now is og games and the gamepass gave you a lot option for now even now both my console is basically a glorified xbox one and PS4 respectively, PS5 not having PS3, PS2 and PS1 game is a huge miss opportunity on sony part.

@@jackyv626 I tried gamepass for 3 months, it’s garbage. I downloaded games, not streamed them, so I didn’t lag on PS Now. Gamepass didn’t appeal to me, and I’ve been playing Xbox for almost 16-18 years. Red Dead, gears of war, halo etc. are garbage nowadays. The only saving grace is halo infinite if it doesn’t end up dead like the other halos. Back4Blood is on PS5, I’ll play it on there

I have both systems since launch and I find myself playing Xbox more I also like that fact that some games when you buy them you get both the Xbox version and pc version in the Microsoft Store

Dualsense: Haptic feedback, adaptive triggers (only good for single player games) and mic (the speaker is completely useless, the touchpad just a gimmick and only really useable in Sony exclusives and the build quality is subjective, I heard different opinions and the components inside are not premium at all)
XSX controller: Size/fit, Grip, non-slippy sticks, normal/elite hybrid and clicky dpad, 30 hour battery life, replaceable batterypacks/AAs, easy repairibility, Cheaper, (no major Stick drift issues and more premium components inside)
Conclusion: The Xbox controller completely obliterates the Dualsense.

On Xbox (and Windows 10 too) Dolby Atmos is supported for free, only Dolby Atmos for Headphones requires a license on both platforms. Keep in mind that it only works with games supporting it.
I've been watching a lot of comparison videos of these two consoles and I'm really surprised at the number of people in the comments to want or have both. I was under the impression that there was more disdain between the PS and Xbox communities 👀 Pleasantly surprised 🙌🏼

Went with a Series X yesterday after having zero luck with finding a PS5. Picked up an Elite 2 controller to go with it. Super happy. 4k 120hz on my LG C9 is phenomenal...load times are non existent and quick resume is was more convenient than I thought it would be.

@@legendaryLpz A lot of game pass games are play once and done. I’ve played probably 50-75% of the big titles on game pass and never played them again although they were great playing through them.

@@keishondullivan9556 I mean ps4 had that too basically, if you put your console in rest mode when you turn it back on it automatically resumes where it left off. Idk how different quick resume is but I can’t see much of a difference.

I've had played games on PS2, PSP and PS3 when I was both a little boy and a teenager but I never played games on the Xbox 360, let alone Xbox One! Fortunately, with the PS5 shortage issue still ongoing, I feel glad that this gives me the opportunity to buy Xbox Series X, the console of my dreams since 2020! To be honest, when I see the images of Xbox Series X for the first time, I immediately fall in love with it at first sight! 😇

He was attempting to compare Xbox's Quick Resume feature but I can only assume that he didn't have a copy of AC Valhalla for the PS5 so the best he could do was find a PS5 game that loads the fastest.
While I concede that Quick Resume is an awesome feature I've seen reports that it doesn't always work, can corrupt game saves and that each game requires a patch for it to work. Clearly I'd love for Sony to have something similar but based on my experience so far games load insanely fast so I'd rather have a game that loads really fast then to take a chance that a Quick Resume feature could either lose my place or screw up my save point.
@@incredibilistic i don't see the point in quick resume (which is one of the reasons Xbox OS is so big btw) when games can be loaded in 2 -4 seconds from boot anyway it's 1 more button to push resume game from a menu, woah such an inconvenience right , Microsoft really invested in the right areas with this one (sarcasm), you can it was just low effort with that design anyway
I bought a disc edition PS5 and a Xbox Series S, good combo. I prefer the PlayStation games but want an Xbox as friends are in Xbox. I actually think for the money the Series S with game pass is a hell of a deal and most new games upscale to 4K on my tv
I can't do up scale I have a q80t Samsung 55" 120 hz panel got series x and ps5 I like my 4k with sharp images and clear quality with HDR and popping colors man.

The reason they allow you download PS4 versions when PS5 is available is for cross gen playability.
Games like FIFA 21 don’t work cross gen, so if I only had the PS5 version available to me, I can’t play with friends. So having the PS4 version available allows me to play with friends, but I can also download the PS5 version to get next gen features when I play by myself.

I bought the ps5 for Christmas its great they don't overheat like the ps4s did.a absolutely great investment.
FYI, you can charge the PS5 controller with one of those cell phone battery packs while you play on the couch, but if I remember to drop it in the charger at night, its always kept me going for the full day.
Mine doesn’t last more then 3 to 4 hours tops. My Xbox controller lasts about 10hrs. So I’m able to use it for two days of playing before charging. Ps5 I have to stop and let it charge while it’s on.

Playstations has always been my default system since PS1, now that I got both the PS5 and the XBOX series X, I have completely switched to XBOX as my main machine. Literally used the PS5 maybe 3 times.
For all the reasons you mentioned, my PS5 has become mainly a system for exclusives, other than that, my daily gaming is on XBOX. XBOX has really come out with a strong offering this generation.
@Kratos War absolutely, I game on all three platforms and enjoy them all, ps has great exclusives which is why I have a PS5 (my favorite single player games are mostly ps exclusives). But for multi-platform games I chose XBOX this generation for the better performance and GAME PASS is great value.

In my opinion, you can’t make any mistake with any of the four versions that are out now. Even the Series S is a very good deal. If you’re playing on a 1080p TV, it’s currently the best option.
The problem right now is not, which one you want to have. It’s which one is actually available.
Over here there is not a single store selling 1080p TVs anymore, 4K is the standard, I wanted a 1080p myself since 4K is too much, and I was forced to buy a 4K TV, and this was two years ago.

Ghost of Tsushima is pure excellence. I'm about to platinum this game and it's just stunning in all aspects. You might be able to wait for a sale ,maybe it will show up with ps plus if not you can probably pick up a used physical copy on Amazon or gamestop hell even eBay for cheaper. Back to GOT the story is captivating and the game play is just sheer fun, not as hard as demon souls but challenging enough to feel good about it. Now let's talk about the environment, it's simply gorgeous and the detail is incredible you could get lost just exploring all over the place as you ride your horse while slaying random patrolling enemies.
You stated xbox allows for pc cross-platform with their titles which is only true to an extent. Game pass and gold games library is much larger on console than the limited about of games on Xbox console. Don't be fooled I thought games pass had all the titles xbox console has and it does not by any means.
I had a PS5 and PS4. Only problem I had with both consoles is the back triggers on the controllers have broken. The springs don’t push the button back out properly. Other than that great console. This time around I’m gonna buy an X Box X as I’ve not had X Box for years and wanna try it out
Actually the PS5 looks like it fit easier in your cabinet. Xbox barely had any top clearance and both had lots of side space.

I’m a Playstation fan and this is a fair comparison review... but for one thing: If you already have an uptodate gaming PC then Xbox Series X offers virtually nothing extra and the PS5 is the way to go.
Xbox Series X. But I must say that the controller of the PS5 is almost pushing me for it.
Also the UI on Xbox looks way better, it's more "open"/free, the PS5's UI feels more "locked" in place

I remember when Xbox one first came out, most games were stuck on 720p. They’ve really come a long way at releasing the most powerful console. It’s a shame Don Mattrick really screwed the reputation of Xbox.
As an Xbox 360 owner prior to the PS4, I can’t say that’s all true. They’ve made shitty games throughout the 7 years. Yes you’re right, they made a powerful console in the later years and expanded their backwards compatibility with triple A games but for $500 which was ridiculous overpriced and meanwhile PS4 pushed great games and filled the void at least for me for what the Xbox One could’ve been but never did.

I think this video demonstrates just how good gaming has become and how it will only get so much better as time goes on. 4K 120FPS, 8K support later down the line, the gaming experiences old and new accessible fully for the first time, it’s truly exciting.
The only problem is that the monitor that actually supports those features are more exepensive than the actuall console and that is so bad i don’t want to spend $1000

The ps4 version of the games are if u want to play with ur family and they dont have ps5 controlers so they can use ps4 controllers but with ps5 games u cant use ps4 controllers
You don't have to buy Dolby Atmos license to use with speakers. You can use Atmos or uncompressed 7.1 with speakers through settings, might have to install Atmos app but the paid license is only for headphones Atmos. Very significant mistake you made in the video there and should be corrected as it could possibly affect buyers options.
And that makes it better? You have to pay money to use Dolby Atmos on headphones
If you don’t want to, you don’t need to. Windows Sonic for headphones is built in by default and free. Also if we’re talking details, the PS5 doesn’t support Dolby Atmos or Dolby Vision at all. He left that out too.

Only playstation exclusives will make use of their 3d sound but multiplat games sometimes use dolby atmos.

From one review I saw it's so hard to tell the difference. The only way you can tell is if you have them right next to each other. 4k blue ray players now a days do a good job with movies that even a dedicated blue ray doesn't really look any different than consoles.

Besides that you said that having the possibility of downloading ps4 versions of titles on the ps5 is not a good thing however this gives the player the opportunity to play games such as Fifa 21 (pro clubs) cross-gen something that is not possible on the Xbox. Just felt like a one sided review imo
PS+ collection is nice, but it's really small compared to Game Pass. Besides, most of the non-exclusive games on PS+ Collection are also on Game Pass.
In the case of FIFA 21, since the multiplayer is split between generations, you can download and play the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions separately, so your last point is simply incorrect. Smart Delivery has been helping a lot in this cross-gen period.

There are manufacture recommendation size for keeping console inside shelves. This is for air room for ventilation. Ps5 exhaust vents thru the back of the console so more air room is needed when in shelves...

That's true but the dolby app is a little tricky. I also thought that I need to purchase a license first but then saw that you can skip this option.
I bought the new wireless headphones for the Xbox and I can say that Dolby Atmos is worth the purchase for headphones. It sounds clearly better to me for gaming vs the free Sonic.
