Love..Love...Love... Lake Tahoe area...Any time of year! My Favorite Place to Calm down and De-Stress! Even looking at this segment I could feel that Tranquility! and Breathe!...and we all need to now de-stress and take a deep breath!
I use to have a friend who lived in Reno. So I went to the lake any time I visited her.
The last visit was 10 years ago in Oct. Was gorgeous weather. We rode the Miss Dixie paddle boat across the lake. Was awesome. Will never forget.

Carson City, Nevada is home, so I consider this (i.e. the basin, lake, mountains, forest) my side yard. It is this tranquil.

I grew up in Gardnerville and Topaz areas. I hope they go back and film it again in winter.
I live in Sacramento CA which is a hour drive but I love going to lake Tahoe Ca
Nice place. Never go there on a holiday weekend.
That's pretty much every weekend now. Even the shoulder season (Spring/Fall) is packed with tourists these days. I don't even bother going to the grocery store Friday through Sunday, because there is just way too many people visiting town.
Visited last summer. Spectacular.
Playing this on a continual feedback loop is the way....
This is not the Tahoe national forrest this is the Lake Tahoe Management unit
When you drive north on 89 and leave the LTBMU or the watershed that makes up the basin then your in the Tahoe Nation Forrest

I disagree I’ve going up to Tahoe for years and know the area very well there are a lot of restrictions on building etc especially north Tahoe
Lookup the TRPA - Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. The basin was zoned years ago.
.45 year resident and the TRPA is giving out permits for any kind of develop now

Its a big forest. I've had an experience of knowing it wasn't a bear(it was big) and have been places around the basin that could definitely be Squach territory.
