    The developer should keep the mansion and make it a community center in his honor for the new subdivision.

    *I never will understand why these homes are not saved and re-invented as community buildings, condos, or private office spaces within the new development.* Insane and obscene to destroy such a masterpiece. For those who love houses and architecture, it is heartbreaking and sickening to the core. It would take an extraordinary amount of money to reproduce that level of craftsmanship today --if even possible. I have lived in some places where the estate farmland was sold to a developer but the community rallied around preservation and demanded that the historic home be saved and remodeled and reused as apartments or lawyers suites , etc. rather than ripping them down. Beautiful video.

    How sad for Edwin and his wife, and to have this beautiful home torn down by developers makes me sick. You would think since this home is relatively "new" they could incorporate it in their plans as a community center or office space, ie Drs, etc. Thanks Jeremy for the tour.

    • @JeremyXplores
      @JeremyXplores  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      I share your feelings - it's a tough situation for Edwin and his wife, and seeing any beautiful home, especially a newer one, get torn down is disheartening. The idea of repurposing it into a community center or office space is a thoughtful alternative; it's a shame when such potential is overlooked. Thanks for expressing your thoughts and for appreciating the tour. It’s important to share and document these stories, even if the endings aren’t what we hope for. Thank you for being part of the journey.

    You are a phenomenal story teller! Thank you! There’s something so sad of this society that favors destruction of something so beautiful only to build hideously unappealing subdivisions that will resemble blight in a few short years. This house so stunningly designed and built and so well maintained should be allowed to live at least 100 yrs and more and with many trees planted to blot out the ugly subdivision. Too many beautiful features to mention but one of my favorites the timeless dining room wallpaper. I just wish people would “get it” before so much beauty is gone forever. Really enjoyed this video!

    • @JeremyXplores
      @JeremyXplores  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your perspective! I completely understand your sentiments about the loss of beautiful architecture to make way for new developments that might not carry the same charm or character. It's a real challenge our society faces, balancing growth with preservation. Highlighting the beauty and history of places like these is one way to help people appreciate and maybe think twice about what we're leaving behind. I'm glad the dining room wallpaper and other features spoke to you. It's voices like yours that help raise awareness and appreciation for the beauty around us. Thanks again for your support and for enjoying the video! Let's keep hoping and working for a world that values its history and beauty.

    This makes me feel so OLD. I was 12 in 1990 & what a time to be alive.
    1990 felt so modern and cool for a young boy and I remember these styles . To me a house built in 1990 is still reasonably recent. But old enough to be well built . Ugh what a waste. Thanks for sharing

    Halters in the tack room and the large corral often referred to as a round pen for round pen training. What an estate. Sad to see the shot of the subdivision vs the estate. You always do such a beautiful job connecting with us and giving consideration to those who may have or did live in these properties.

    Such a beautiful house and beautiful property, such waste. It bothers me so much when people sell out to corporate entities who are going to destroy the land and cram people into controlled areas , simply for greed and profit.

      @@JeremyXplores Prior career as a professional stage manager. I left it. I want you to succeed, however. Even around those that feel they have a god mic in their hand. Keep the love of art in your heart and you will succeed, I believe that!! Colorado wasn't exactly a choice but trying to find that silver lining. Is it dream based? I don't know. Leaving TN, however, yeah... totally down with that. Always stay authentically you even thru the hard times because looking in the mirror every morning to go for those dreams makes it easier by being true to self and taking the road less traveled. I read that to do list. I think Kathy wrote it. Looks like she was fixing up the place to sell to the new landlord and moved into an apartment. I always love your videos. Its like a guided meditation and better than any ASMR video. Plus you are preserving things that will soon be gone to satisfy the ravenous hunger of plywood box sprawl developers. I know I want to build my own house and I really want to detail it instead of making it another giant painted plywood box. Even our skyscrapers are nothing more than glass, steel, and concrete boxes. I always wanted to build a futuristic home with organic shapes and seeing all the different places you have been to gave me all kinds of ideas to create. Hopefully your videos inspire other people like it does me and so these places will live on in new places that will be built for those that dare to dream and take action on those dreams.

    So glad to see a new video. I work in West Nashville and live in Pulaski so I love seeing all these abandoned buildings. Also that you explore the history. That’s my favorite part. I love knowing the story.
    I love to urban explore, but unfortunately my friends and family don’t understand my love of all things historical, so I live through your videos! Love seeing all these places in my hometown! Keep up the good work and come check out down south sometime!
    Also about the barn. I’m an avid rider and would kill for a barn like this. The fenced in area would be called an arena and like you said would be used for riding and training.
    The harnesses are halters which are placed over the horse head to maintain control and lead them. The washbay and those stalls are incredible. I would definitely say they were some happy horses!
