Kabul Afghanistan, Im still catching up here and think i have one or 2 more vlogs from Afghanistan. this was in Shar E Naw area , the name of the place is on the outside when i leave. Theres a few places in Kabul that sell traditional womens clothes. I didnt see anyone wear these clothes out and about, they are for weddings and special occasions, but they were amazing, very heavy some of them, as far as knowing the significance of all the different design and details , i really dont know that and it was an unplanned visit. Its hard enough to find an english speaking guide, so to find one that could explain the sigificance of the designs and details would be impossible, and to translate wasnt gonna happen when the people were working and young kids.... its worth asking or googling about the designs before you go! also they are not that expensive, if you have space in your luggage ( i didnt)... As always thanks for watching and your support, please like and subscribe !

$150.00 for all work and materials is unbelievable. The shop needs to take overseas orders.
Xactly
They are working on it. Sanctions and Pakistan Regime try to fail it but we have China as strong Partner
There are shops around Europe and the UK mostly & in America where they order from Afghanistan aye it is good it more orders hoping for the best
Hi Emma, these garments are stunning. I have never seen this kind of traditional dresses, so well made in the smallest detail and very colorful, very beautiful to look at. You looked amazing in your dress and it fit you very well. Thanks for sharing a remarble video, I enjoyed watching and Yes! as always be safe wherever you are dear sister!!🙏🙏🙏🙏💓💓💓💓💞
Hi Emma and Sultan I love watching your videos about Afghanistan and I love Afghan people who are very welcoming and friendly watching from South Africa
Thank you so so much for visiting afghanistan i am also from afghanistan but now i living in france i miss my country , but also tnx ❤💓
2:46 To answer your question Emma, most pieces of this dress are handmade and it takes weeks to make them depending on the details and design. These are woven by women in countryside and this craft has been around for centuries. These shop keepers buy these pieces from them and do the assembly work.
Andrew Tate is living happily as a tourist guide in Afghanistan. That's good 😊
Amazing content. All the dresses are beautiful along with the other accessories. You look beautiful in that traditional dress. Thank you for giving a tour of these shops in Kabul, Afghanistan!
#wonderingemma The embroidery and beadwork is all done by hands by Kochi women (the family that you visited under the tent with old lady asking you for shoes). The shop owners buying it off them. They only stich the dress. This is called "Kochiani" Which means dresses of Kochis.
And it goes back to Kushan (kushyan) empire
it is an indian vibe in this clothes, do you know why? i mean, by history meaning? thank you.
No this are actually just afghan clothes where each tribe has different take on them and different tribes has specific specialties in terms of the embroidery and all other details. The reason they are still called koshi clothes it’s cuz of many tribes start to wear modern clothing or south Asian inspired clothes and only tribe that never stoped wearing them were the kochi tribes thus they are some time referred to as kochi clothes.
@@strawberry_moon187 I would argue against this narrative of modernisation, because Afghanstan is still a tribal society and almost 60-70% of the population still prefer to carry on with their cultural roots.
even if I agree to that then, atleast those who live in villages should have worn these cloths other than Kochis.
This episode was so entertaining. Love it ❤Emma you need a special dress like these gorgeous gowns.
Thers locals that makes these dresses in kabul it takes a week or more, lots of parts, depends how you want, can be made, these guys just traders, they still have some beautiful dresses, looks nice when you tried it.

Come here to peshawar, pakistan. I am waiting for you. I wish to go with you to The Charsi hotel Namak mandi Peshawar.
Do any of these stores have websites where we can place international orders?
No , and I’m not sure about that , you would need to call them , the phone numbers are on the outside of a couple of shops … payment would have to be western Union of money gram , that’s the only problem, you can pay by CC or someone may have a relative with western account ..
You can orders to every country
Salaam
Hi Emma. ❤
He lived in St. Louis and Chicago I am surprised he survived those two cities.
He might live outside of St. Louis, i live 25 mile from St. Louis, so when i travel. I just say I'm from there. I'm just surprised he didn't have a Cardinals baseball cap.
Sestir hawar you good
Pretty shocking................ i must to admit it, very beautiful and impressive, but also pretty shocking, because we have this image in our minds, from the media, the news, whatever , with afghan ladies being fully covered in some black fabric , anyway- good work, Ema, for all these infos, very unique infos. Also, i watched the other video, with golden jewelry, this was also pretty impressive to me, it seems women are not treated like farm animals, like possessions, of course, some women are in this difficult positions, no doubt about it, but this is all over the world. The only disturbing thing that was not solved yet is the women studies, this is still on the table, hoping they will solve it soon.
Nice cat walk...
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Wow the one dress was $400! How do they afford to buy those?? Yes that would be a nice souvenir for someone, but it would take a whole suitcase.
Weddings are an expensive thing in Afghanistan… also I met afghans from other countries shopping for them 😊
I love you Emma❤❤
Hi Emma you are so beautiful
When do the women go out shopping? Do they have dressing rooms? Can they shop there by themselves or must they be escorted by male relatives? Do the women interact with the male associates or do their male relative speak on their behalf?
Women go out shopping alone all the time , watch some of my other vlogs , there were a few woman shopping for wedding dresses while I was filming this , obviously i didn’t film them … no they don’t have to be escorted by male relatives and yes they interact with men when they are shopping/ buying things , they have to otherwise they wouldn’t be able to buy anything, I have a few market vlogs where you can see woman out alone shopping and my livestreams I did live when I was in Kabul .. even a woman driving past in my livestream
Wow! Thank you for answering my questions. I’ve just subscribed! 🤩

I’m not there anymore
After all, your country is developing, why run away from it?
Emma now you look pukhtoon. Pukhtoon is pushtoon nationality.
they are from poorest country in world pakistan need look after them god bless them
Tell us sth about the situation of women there .
Haha satanic logo ahah hes referring to illuminati 😂😂
These clothes are Cochi clothes, but now it becomes traditional clothes.
They were always traditional clothes they only became known as cochi clothes because that’s was the only tribe that didn’t get influenced by foreign clothes and continued wearing them
Let your tour guide know to watch his mouth. He says some stuff that he shouldn’t be saying just letting you know not only in this video but because I watch all your videos.
What kind of things does he say?
Like what ? I don’t have a native speaker now when I edit so I assume that it wasn’t bad as he knew I was filming and would always tell me to not put a certain part in .. so I have no idea what he said 🥴
I have no intentions to worry you but he has to be courteous when speaking to people that’s all.
