    I rewatched this after my ride in Shanghai and something Ana does jumped out at me. She is so kind to people on the streets, even when they walk out on the street without looking or block her way, she gives a friendly whistle or heads up of some kind. I really struggle with that as a rider, people who walk out onto the street without looking will usually get a flurry of profanity from me but that just puts me in a bad frame of mind. Thank you Anna for your kindness!

      i think most people don't just yell profanities at people randomly. Honestly her riding seems kind of rude to jump in front of cars that are changing lanes and shit.
      you might just have anger issues, relative to you she might be a saint but in reality what she is doing is dangerous for other people.

      @@Kaodusanya you know what's beautiful about the world compared to the states. People actually know how to drive in other countries because they use all of their senses. Unlike America traffic actually moves in Mexico even with 3rd world technology and roads. Because everyone has high awareness. It has been said if you can drive in major cities like Mexico City, Guadalajara or Tijuana you can pretty much drive anywhere in the world. Although Guatemala City in Guatemala also has something to say about that as well. These people drive really good and understand how to merge and work like the way ants handle traffic.

    ¡Caramba!, este vídeo muestra lo que pueden llegar a hacer los ciclistas experimentados, atléticos y con unos reflejos felinos... ¡Sí, esto es deporte extremo!. Soy de ciudad de México y sé lo peligroso que puede ser el viajar en bicicleta por allá y más si te metes entre los carros de la manera en que estas chicas lo hacen... mis respetos, esto no lo hace cualquiera. Si bien es cierto que las faltas cometidas al reglamento fueron constantes, no cabe duda que las habilidades demostradas son dignas de verse. Cuídense mucho, sean conductores responsables. • @ymeknassi
      @ymeknassi 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You're right for the hand. But the camera is too stable. If he's riding a bike then I think the camera is tied somehow to the bike frame... I think a software is used for image stabilisation (as you can see the image stays still when going through bumps)

    • @asdifsodkfs
      @asdifsodkfs 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Según el reglamento de tránsito de la ciudad de México, un ciclista tiene derecho a ocupar un carril completo, incluso se recomienda que lo hagas y que no te pegues al lado derecho del carril, de esta manera los automóviles se ven obligados a cambiar de carril para poder rebasar, cómo lo harían con cualquier otro vehículo, evitando rebasar a peligrosos 10 cm del ciclista, de igual manera el reglamento de tránsito permite que ciclistas circulen entre carriles cuando el tránsito vehicular es lento o está casi detenido, así como cruzar avenidas con luz roja con la debida precaución
    Señores automovilistas, en ves de molestarse pónganse a pensar, en caso de un accidente quién sale perdiendo? Su lujoso automóvil de metal o un ciclista? A tu auto una bici no le va a hacer nada más allá de un rasguño, sin embargo tu auto si puede matar a un ser humano.

    Very strong girl - and so brave. Once I lived in London, and I was glad for the security of being allowed to use the bus lanes which you only had to share with taxis and the lumbering old Routemasters. Drivers in Mexico City seem a bit more chilled than in London. In several years riding in London I saw a motorcyclist hit by a car, who died before the ambulance arrived. Then a good cycling friend was hit and killed by a drunk driver on the North Circular.

      I grew up near North Circular Road, a very dangerous road for cyclists, even back in the 70s when I would ride that route from Hanger Lane to Ealing then on to Acton. I also used to do a regular route from Brixton to Kilburn and back, in the 80s, that would take me through Marble Arch and Kilburn High Road, never got hit once, but countless near misses. I guess I was lucky at the time. Lorries are the worst, they often don't see you and so I would always keep well clear of them, especially on corners and roundabouts. I often cycled at night, so with my lights on I was perhaps more visible than in the daytime

Don't be an ass and surprise people in the dark while they're traveling on a roadway, be they in a car, on a bike, on foot, whatever. He sido ciclista y motociclista urbano, estoy a favor del uso de la bici y de la moto para mejorar las condiciones ambientales y de movilidad en la ciudad, pero estoy horrorizado por la manera tan arriesgada en que te conduces por la ciudad.

    You're putting a lot of faith in people's behavior! When I pass a car, I pretty much act like a car and take the middle of the other lane. Plenty of buffer in case a bad driver does a random move that could cost me my life.

      I don't film myself though. But I ride around 14 000 kilometers per year, mostly in the city, which is Montreal. But I also teach self-defense and mixed martial arts; so I'm kind of obsessed by never leaving any openings and protecting myself in all situations. And I've learned with time that it's more important to be reasonable than it is to be right! :)

    It's so cool to see people riding around the places they know by heart. Your camera work is always great, and I'd say the dialogue is a big positive as well, but it would be cool to hear both ends of the conversation.

    • @pacocinco

      Cool, no rush.
      You are the main common factor in most of these videos, so I think it might be worthwhile to have your own voice in at least some of them. It doesn't necessarily need to be extensive, either. I loved the "you dropped me" bell captions a little while back, and you didn't speak a word.
      The lack of personal dialogue does have it's place, though. I really enjoy hearing the sounds of the bikes and the buzzing of the tires. Also, since they are generally videos focused on someone else, it does well to bring them into focus when only their perspective is heard, especially when it's combined with your camera work.
      Seriously, I can't emphasize enough how cool your content is. I generally don't ride in situations similar to what I see in your videos, but even so, for me, they do an incredible job of capturing the feel of riding in the best way possible. Whatever you do, don't stop doing it.
