@@RideNTides That is a nice bike, the stock short exhaust looks good. I own a 2022 MT07, and emailed Yoshimura regarding exhaust upgrade. Their model for the MT07 is the 877 (I think!), and I was advised in the email reply from Yoshi that the upgrade would not require an ECU flash. You may want to get in touch with Yoshi if you decide to upgrade and find out. Kawasaki makes some stylish bikes, IMHO.
@@ac2-rm141 Thanks for that! The group I ride with have mostly MTs and I think they look great as well! But how is the power and comfort? Lol never bothered to ask the group I was with 😅

First off. I love how chill and absolutely relaxed your voice is. Second, this is the ONLY Ninja 650 video / review ive ever seen in all of youtube after 10 months of no-lifing motorcycle content, where they actually bother to show the display settings and stuff.
Means a lot!! Thanks! And I hope it helps anyone watching decide what bike would be right for them so why not show most or all the features this thing has to offer 🙏
Just bought a 650 ninja krt. I had a ninja 400 last year, absolutely loved it. 650 wasnt that much more on insurance, an extra 100 bucks a year. I am in love with the look of the KRT. It's my dream bike. I'm hoping 650 is enough speed for me as the 400 was peppy but I think 650 is just perfect for me.
Thank you for your informative video I don’t know a thing about Bikes..and I wanted to surprise my son with his first bike and your video convinced me….thank you ride safe
Great review, thanks. Nice 650R. For the break in period, I just rode as I normally would and didn't go light on my 2nd new Ninja back in 2008, and 36,000+ miles later, it's still going strong despite my harsher break in compared to what Kawasaki recommends, which is not practical on real roads and freeways.
Great bike. I have the Z650 and love it. Of all the bikes in its class, this one has the best value. Affordable, reliable/durable/quality, good performance, and great styling.
I have a Ninja 650 and your summary matched my experience. Good video! One side comment, 0-60 is 3.4 seconds (not 4.5 seconds). Strange but the Ninja 650 punches above its weight due to plenty of low rev torque.
Do you get frequently 200 Miles ? Im planning on buying this bike for everyday use. I have 150 Miles going forth and back to work. Do you think this would be suitable?
wouldn't mind updating my 2019 400 to a 2022 650...just have to have a chat to my daughters & their mother...they don't understand why i need this👍mitchell - queensland australia
Its the Quad Lock Phone Mount I got at Cycle Gear. You’ll also need their Quad Lock phone case and recommended vibration dampener attachment. Only down side is they’re all sold separately but it works great and no worries of it flying off the bike
7:38 stop sign violation good sir. You need to come to a full stop. This isnt just to annoy you but for you to really take a second to just chill and look
@@RideNTides Is there a big difference compared to a slip on or entire new full system? The price difference seems to be big enough, but is the result (gain) big enough as well?
@@jg7173 I was told there were no slip-ons for the 2022 650 and you had to do full exhaust but I could be wrong but I would think a full system would have better airflow than just slip-ons.
@@RideNTides There no slip-on with 2022 I have that model year even 2023 is the same everything it is all weld as one system just like the earlier model bikes from 2017, you should also look into Akrapovic system

I'm looking to buy a bike ... I'm a beginner ... So I have a couple of options one is a ninja 300 and the second one is a ninja 400 that is a bit expensive... I'm planning to keep this bike for 2 to 3 years or maybe more before upgrading to a higher cc ... So which one should I go for ... Is the 400 worth extra money cuz the difference is a lot around 1800 usd between both the bikes ... Do keep in mind I'm just a beginner who wants to grow gradually to a litre bike ... Thanks
Because of budget, I would say go with the Ninja 300 because you’ll also need to spend for gear as well. As long as you don’t do much highway the 300 will get you around the city just fine and the 400 is only about a 6hp difference. Hope that helped and ride safe out there!
Personally I went with the 650 because I do highway driving. The 650 is more upright and a bit more comfortable for commuting where the 400 is more like a beginner race bike
Bro just save your money and get at least the 650. Anything less than that you will outgrow in a couple months. I started on a ninja 650 and outgrew it in a year of riding
I do like the Honda but the seat height is about an inch difference. May not seem like much but I'm not fully flat foot on this bike and it is my first bike purchase so it just made me feel comfortable.
My wife rode on the back for only 10 mins and she said it wasn’t bad. I’ll have something up on passenger riding with her soon for a longer trip. But imo, if passenger comfort is what you’re looking for, maybe not a sports bike.
I just get her on it and see how she handles. Thanks for your reply and keep on giving us all these nice reviews. It helps a lot with choosing our bikes :)
JG, my wife nearly always comes on a blast with me and she loves the back seat and she`s 5ft.9ins. and works out so she`s not a skinny arsed little thing, they made the rear seat 15mm. wider and about 10mm. thicker so there`s no problem in going two up.
I can see that, as I would like a bike with a little more power but as a first bike without ever being on a motorcycle, this was the perfect one for me
For a beginner or someone looking to just ride, no. But if you’re experienced and want something with power then it’ll grow old. I myself am looking for a ZX-6 or ZX-10 but the 650 is my commuter cuz it’s comfy.
I'm so disappointed it still didn't come with USD forks. Since I have to spend money on USD forks, might as well just get a Honda or Yamaha. Too bad, because I really like Kawasaki's ninja philosophy.
Yes it is but I don’t think the ZX6R would be a good choice for a person who has never ridden. Compared to the 650s tame 68hp the ZX6R is pushing 134hp and less forgiving on the throttle
You can’t put on slip on’s on those bikes… you have to go full system exhaust if you wanted to change it
Thanks for letting me know! I'll most likely get it either way
@@RideNTides get a tune if your getting anything but a yoshimura exhaust
