Nice video although I don’t get the title.. You don’t need a clickbait for a brand new bike on the market dude, especially not for one as expected as this one. Anyway, my most anticipated bike for a while was bmw f900r until I realised that it has ridiculously small fuel tank (major f- up on bmw side, only 13 l, wtf??). Now I think I’ll be actually getting this new Kawi as a replacement for my bmw g310r. Love pretty much everything about it so far :-)
Great work on this video. I however did not see any correlation between the title of the video and the content. There's nowhere you've criticized this bike against 2017 -19 iteration for the benefit of the viewer. If anything this is only a step up in aesthetics all other things kept constant. My most anticipated bike for 2020 was the Triumph 765 Street triple RS. That bike is still the Middleweight naked Street bike to beat in this new decade as it was in the last decade hands down.
agree the title is click bait... and it works, over 40k times. Not the best review more of someones opinion that is not very well founded or explained/thought out. 10% of the video is him complaining about the TFT display/rev limiter which is completely adjustable. He should of researched/asked questions before making a video.
Im not sure it will be considered Super sport, it is pretty similar to the cbr650r, better equipement of course, maybe closer to a super sport, not sure.
Just picked up a used 2017 ninja 650 with only 1400 miles on it. Great all around bike. I actually think the last gen looked better than the new 2020s. Great engine, super comfortable, plenty of wind protection once you raise the stock screen, and it looks killer. Got it in the canyons yesterday and it takes corners great. Really happy with my purchase.
The reason why it's flashing like that is because that's the shift indicator, you can change it using the rideology app, just connect it via the Bluetooth that's on your bike or go in to the settings I own a ninja 650 2020
You won't regret it. Perfect balance of great power and comfort. I got my 08 to the track and hit 3.4 zero to sixty and did the quarter mile in 11.8. All stock
I own this bike. You can change the RPM that the display flashes at you to indicate you to shift, or you can shut it off completely. Hold the two buttons on the bottom corners of the display and it'll take you into the display settings menu. If you own the bike, you can also look in the owner's manual as it describes how to operate the display and change all of the settings in further detail as well as describing how to use the two buttons in order to navigate the menus.
Looking forward to getting one as soon as I can't up enough cash. Love the upright sitting position on it, getting too old to want to be hunched over all day. I know I'd prefer a larger motor, but at the end of the day, I'm not getting it to race anyone, I'm getting it because I love the look of a crotch rocket and that it'll handle curves with ease while being more comfortable than the typical sport bike.

Very nice of you to show how you look on the bike and mentioning your height. You could also set your foot on the footpeg for a second, so the viewers can get a picture of how cramped their leg might be on it. Or let someone film you riding a few seconds on the parking lot to get a good view of the body positioning. That's something very few do and I'm sure would be appreciated. Good video in any case!
The Nissin breaks are so damn good.... the feel on them is incredible. I owned a 2018 z650 for a while and for a budget bike the brakes are seriously impressive. We all love brembos but nissins are really really good too

But with a V-twin, going super slow is not possible, they shake, and rattle, and when you rev them up to 9,500 rpm, they feel like they are going to rip out of the frame.. The flash is break in...kawasaki put the break in at around 250 miles and recommends not going over 4k rpms so it will flash at you like that to help you not go over break in rpms
Hey Duke of DC. If you want to do a review of an Aprilia RS660 I just got one. I'm in NC if you make it up this way. I'd be glad to let you take it out.
As a former owner of a 2018, I wish they would have done something to rectify the vibrations that come through the seat and especially the bars. ESPECIALLY the bars. But alas, it doesn't appear they have done anything to deal with this problem that seems to plague all parallel twins. I really wanted to love this bike but numb hands made it impossible. But it looks great!
@no Try riding one for 2 hours when it's 3°C. Your right hand will hate you for it. My er-6f 2017 (Ninja 650 in the states) made me believe i was gonna get my fingers cut off from frostbite but it was just numbness plus cold.
@no my reference to numbness was about vibrations in the handlebar. That added to the cold. On my bike the vibrations are very strong on the second gear for some reason.
Anyone else notice that he wouldn't go in to 6th gear? Not even at 55mph on the highway. Maybe that is why it was flashing all the time...too high rpm during break in period.
Ahh I work just down the street from DelAmo! Great dealership and awesome peeps there. Shoot, I wonder if I may have seen you out on the streets without knowing, who knows. Great review on the Ninja too. I think that is really important to keep in mind what you had noted, that we need to keep in mind the context of where a bike sits within a manufacturers lineup and most importantly, factoring in that price and value quotient there. For the money and what you get, I’d say this is a great bike for anyone looking to get into motorcycling, heck, it was until only recently, MY “beginner” bike. Found cracks in the frame from a low side so it’s a gonner 😔 Also, to note on the comment you made in saying it feels like it has no character, maybe just vanilla, I DO very much agree, but in a sense, and again, when considering this bike’s potential audience, beginners would absolutely benefit from learning on a very “neutral” bike, something that handles all categories well enough and is smooth to operate. I will indeed miss my Ninja as she’s been real good to me, just had to say goodbye to her far too soon.
Have 650 Ninja 2020 with Akra in black/white color but looking for xz-6r 2021. Do you think it would be a good move ? I'm looking for a bit more sporty feel.
naked vs fully faired bike I don't think there is a direct comparison. I prefer fairings my brother does not. I have the ninja 650 and he has the z650. If i were to chose z650 or mt07 i would chose the mt-07 although the TFT on new 2020 is pretty awesome compared to the mt07
I have the same bike, you can turn off or increase the rev/shift limiter via the Kawasaki app, I have it cranked up up to 7K RMP, but you can choose to witch it off all together.
Hi, I'm planning to buy this bike soon enough, though I have one doubt. My height is 5 ft 7 in. Will it be alright in the riders position to stop at a signal comfortably with my feet flat down or should I opt for another bike. I do understand that I'd have to try it myself but under present circumstances with the lockdowns in place, I really don't have access at the moment. So your advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Seems comfy on the highway wich is nice when you do a lot of highway on your daily commute. This is the only comfortable 650 out there who actually looks nice. Good review. Would like to see interceptor next
I don't know that there is a "best" 650. But there will be a best 650 for what you're going to use it for. If you are commuting and lots of highway then off to the twisties, the Ninja will be the better choice. It has better wind protection than the MT07 and the SV650, and it just falls into corners nicer than the other two for curves. For modding and around town and hooning, the MT is the bike. The aftermarket stuff for the MT is huge and the bike puts a smile on your face. For around town and the tiwsties and a more classic look, the SV is the choice. These all do pretty much the same thing. I decided on the Ninja because more highway riding, wind and rain protection. Every time I get on it, I smile. The bike is a load of fun and it is capable of more than I can get out of it. More than 99% of youtube commenters will ever get out of a bike. The choices are difficult but you can't make a bad one with these. And if you have a little extra cash, the CBR650 is an inline four with more power and fun factor but about 3-4k more.
I wouldn't put a Ninja 650 up against an MT07 as they're two different types of bikes. Being 6'2", I just don't like the excess wind a naked bike offers, which puts the Ninja and even CBR650R on top.
For the question you ask; Aprilia RS 660. I myself bought a CBR650r last year so i dont think ill change it, i really like it but im curious about this new Aprilia.

Currently own a '18 Ninja 400 (My first bike), and I planned on getting a replacement next season (2021). I am trying to decide between the '20 Ninja 650, or the '20 Z900. Sadly this season all the local dealers aren't having any Kawasaki demo trucks/rides, and most don't allow test rides. So not sure how I'm really going to be able to pick/decide...
ZX6R is a super sport designed for track days, fast with a aggressive posture (leaned over). The ninja 650 is a standard sport bike designed to do it all. When you set design goals to do it all it won't excel at one thing. If you are planning on commuting in traffic the ninja 650 will be way more comfortable than the ZX6R. Open highway or track I would want the ZX6R.
I bought a 2nd hand 2020 650 and the tft display at the edges look like is broken under the screen? At first i thought it was some carbon aesthetic but then im not so sure. Anyone else has the same?
They definitely did ruin the ninja 650. Side mounted shocks were the trademark and the older models were much more powerful too. The only positive thing about the newer models is tech and maybe weight but apart from that the older models ride so much better and have more character

@@diamondheat9 I mean the styling as far as the tachometer
A have always preferred an analog tac gauge. A have the 2017 ninja 650 and I actually really like the dash on it. I also think the styling was better on the last gen. New ones face is just a bit to boxy in my opinion.
You can change the shift flashing light easily in the screen menu to whatever rpm you want.
Would the taller windscreen be an improvement?
The flash is break in...kawasaki put the break in at around 250 miles and recommends not going over 4k rpms so it will flash at you like that to help you not go over break in rpms
Hey Duke of DC. If you want to do a review of an Aprilia RS660 I just got one. I'm in NC if you make it up this way. I'd be glad to let you take it out.
I think the display makes up for a lot last yeah the z650 and n 650 left a lot to be desired.
I'm thinking about upgrading to the 650 from a 400 how's the handling
48 horsepower ?
Dont You Mean 69 hp ?
I just mixed them up, but I updated in a pinned comment. You must have scrolled right past it to write this Lolol
Hey duke, are you recomend this bike just for daily use, i mean for fun, chill ride, or none race tracks riders?
Do you think I could fit on this bike? I’m only 5’5
I think so. I am 5'4 and test rode one, felt stable and confident. You will probably get both feet flat, or near as damnit
Ninja 650 is not a good bike its a GREAT bike! Best 650 in its class by far.
Have 650 Ninja 2020 with Akra in black/white color but looking for xz-6r 2021. Do you think it would be a good move ? I'm looking for a bit more sporty feel.
Why is it too slow for you or?
AlexanderNino I did the swap and couldnt be happier 👍The bike overall is so much better😍
It really is a great bike. When I had my z650 with a full yoshi system and a ecu flash it really came to life and the turn in/handling was very good.
I own 2018 z650,, was considering aftermarket exhaust,, is it worth the cash do you think?? It is just so heavy and ugly
I just recently purchased this 650 Ninja bike can’t wait to give it a go
Bro which do you prefer to ride this ninja 650 or the mt 07?
naked vs fully faired bike I don't think there is a direct comparison.
Thank you for the review! Saw both review video of 2019 and 2020 N650. You were raving about 2019 N650 but you seem dissatisfied with 2020.
I was looking for innovation and ultimately reviewing it against the 2019. It’s a good bike, but I would have liked to see more for 2020
I'm hoping to get this 1 or the z900 depends on insurance?
Hi, I'm planning to buy this bike soon enough, though I have one doubt. My height is 5 ft 7 in. Will it be alright in the riders position to stop at a signal comfortably with my feet flat down or should I opt for another bike. I do understand that I'd have to try it myself but under present circumstances with the lockdowns in place, I really don't have access at the moment. So your advice would be appreciated. Thanks
I own kawasaki ninja 650 2019..and am only 5'4..you wont have any problem with it on a stop since you're 5'7..
Seems comfy on the highway wich is nice when you do a lot of highway on your daily commute. This is the only comfortable 650 out there who actually looks nice. Good review. Would like to see interceptor next
Waiting for the in-line four 250cc Ninja
So if you don’t think it’s the best 650 out there, what would you recommend? Looking to upgrade from my Z400
Last Feb I saw a dealer selling these new for $3900. Plus setup fee and tax it's under 5k. Would never pay 7k for that.
Haha, he couldn't help laughing when he said 48 horsepower.
It has 65 horsepower...
This bike looks amazing and the updates are excellent imo.
Most anticipated bike ZH2
Kawasaki zx25r hands down!
no one I’m so excited for that bike.
i would really hope to look forward to a yamaha R4 sometime in the near future!!
What IS your favorite 650 sport bike? Thnx.
CBR650r > Ninja 650r ?
I just got the same bike in this video color and all and you can change the shift indicator rev flash in the app or on the display itself
Transmission and clutch and fueling?
It‘s flashimg because the bike is not broken in yet it signals you to take it easy for a few 100 miles
Is it loud tho? Like how loud?

I have this same ex650 and it’s the funniest easiest bike to play and learn on but there’s not much you can do to mod it out
Can you look for a 2020 Duke 390 and 2020 cbr500r to test drive
Currently own a '18 Ninja 400 (My first bike), and I planned on getting a replacement next season (2021). I am trying to decide between the '20 Ninja 650, or the '20 Z900. Sadly this season all the local dealers aren't having any Kawasaki demo trucks/rides, and most don't allow test rides. So not sure how I'm really going to be able to pick/decide...
try the ninja 1000 or gsx s 1000f same confort and concept as the ninja 650 but with 1000cc of kick ass 4 cyls
7800$ pfff meanwhile in finland 11650$ 😒 so stupid even ninja 400 cost more than that 650 there
Jesus, found one for bout 6,200
7800€ new in portugal
taxes buddy
What's the biggest differences between the 650 and the zx6r?
ZX6R is a super sport designed for track days, fast with a aggressive posture (leaned over). The ninja 650 is a standard sport bike designed to do it all. When you set design goals to do it all it won't excel at one thing. If you are planning on commuting in traffic the ninja 650 will be way more comfortable than the ZX6R. Open highway or track I would want the ZX6R.
Hi there, great channel.
For me the most expected are cbr1000rr (standard) and zx10r (standard)
👍👍👍
I need to take out some of these new liter bikes soon!!
@@DukeOfDC yes pleaseeee !!!
Gsx s1000, gsx r1000, vstrom 1050, bmw s1000rr
😁
Can you review also the 2020 mt07?
This bike. I want a sharp middleweight to ride around town
I bought a 2nd hand 2020 650 and the tft display at the edges look like is broken under the screen? At first i thought it was some carbon aesthetic but then im not so sure. Anyone else has the same?
The 2021 Aprilia 660 looks absolutely killer.
Im most interested in 2020 Kawa Ninja650 and Yamaha MT-09SP
the ninja zx-25r with 4 cylinder will be out soon, that bike scream gonna be loud af!!
not gonna get it outside asia...simply because they sell it the same price as a 636 so no one would buy
So was he ever able to find a way to turn that indicator off
The bike I'm the most excited about is the ninja 1000sx.
They definitely did ruin the ninja 650. Side mounted shocks were the trademark and the older models were much more powerful too. The only positive thing about the newer models is tech and maybe weight but apart from that the older models ride so much better and have more character
I'm 5 foot 9 and have a 30 inch inseam just like you.So it would be good to flat foot the bike.I got to test ride the Kawasaki Ninja 650.To see if it's a good commuter bike. That is also Sporty.
What kind of bikes are you comparing my friend. R1 and Ninja650. Poles apart. Budgets apart. This bike is a beauty in its range.
Although I don't believe ZX14 has changed from 2019 that's what I'm looking at, the 2020 does offer a bit different paint scheme with a little more green, and I'm all about the green.
Don’t think of this is track race bike by its air guide sleeve/shell. The Ninja line is sport touring/standdard and they are comfortable riding position. ZX is kawa’s track racing line. Ninja 650 is well balanced built and a great bike to ride.
It's strange to see 2020 bikes that are heavier, slower, have fewer cylinders and carry less gasoline than what was available in the 80s.
How many miles does the tank get? I’ve never had a bike. Looking to be my first bike
I just watched a video and the dude said it gets around 200 miles which is pretty good considering it only has around a 4 gallon tank
Insulin Jello I’m going to pick mine up this week. Going to the dealership tomorrow🤩gonna have to shop around to find the all
Black color way
Ocean Tree oOoOoO congrats and good luck, I’m saving up for mine rn 😤
It limits the rpm for the first 3 to 400 miles so that u carefully get the engine goin
