I've never heard of pimafix before.
The only thing that comes to mind to possibly try would be fluconzole.
It takes it a week or more, but I've had success with it removing growth.
It is an antifungal.

Why not remove the frag plug from the coral and toss that white stuffs away with it?

Yes sir, if it were hard corals I would do exactly that, but they are soft corals, don't know how to remount soft ones.
