It's interesting how the assistant coach wasn't interviewed or questioned.
Verbal contracts are enforceable btw. Proving the contract usually requires multiple witnesses that are "reputable."
In hindsight, getting the contract in writing BEFORE transferring was the obvious (and best) choice.

If you offered him money and then said no when it came time to pay, that's a terrible look on the school.
It is but also it will hurt him in the long run because other schools will question his commitment to the game or their respective teams. I hope the next school he gets to, he'll make it a point to have a documented agreement, there should have been one anyway, so for UNLV this looks like a sketchy operation.

No it won’t because no person in there right mind believes a Player is transferring for 12k total much less a d1 starting qb. He showed he can help a school win at a fbs school and that will be all other teams care about because they will do it right

I'm NOT , " pro - N.I.L" . Not a proponent of paying college athletes. That said....if a school " promises" a certain financial kickback to a kid for transferring ,& renigs on that promise, then that kid has a right to walk. I can't blame him.
