Out of curiosity I ordered one of these hook tying tools. Well, someone is surely inventive to have figured out how to do these things. And by golly they work if you take the time to figure them out. However, I can tie the blood knot, Palomar knot, clinch knots and loop knots faster without these tools. Well, I've been doing these knots for years and I guess I'm set in my ways. But I applaud the ingenious tools people can come up with. Fish on, or in this case tie on. Let's go fishing!
Hello Todd. If you can tie knots on your own faster and much easier, then there is no need for such tools, but I've seen people which don't even know how to tie the silplest clinch knot and for them, tools like this one might be very useful!
A great non biased presentation which is spot on accurate as I have found exactly the same thing with the plastic hook tyer myself. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to some more reviews of this calibre 👍
I own both and have no trouble. The plastic one you have must be damaged when making it. The one I have tightens good and it will not go any farther when tightened. Should stop and not move. I have tried over tightening it and it stops. But both are good products. As you said. Decision is up to you.
