I've tried to use this gadget for an hour and have had no success. I've watched another video and I just can't get it to work. When I have finished my rotations, I pass the tag end around the larger hook, depressed the hooks and tried to pull the line. However, when I tried to pull the line, the tag line was trapped beneath the large hook. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but it's just not working. Money wasted.

when I charge this battery, well its new, it keeps blinking red and blue; does it mean it's charging still? How long does it take to fully charge from your experience?

Nun gut Freunde der Nacht. Wir leben in einem Land wo die Moskitos genau so blöd sind wie die Einwohner. Dadurch wissen die Moskitos gar nicht, das thermacell eigentlich DAS Teil ist was gegen sie wirken soll... Hahaha.... Wir haben gleich drei gekauft nach den hyper hyper Berichten und Nebeln uns mit Freude ein (scheiß drauf was manche körnerfresser meinen von wegen giftig usw) wir stammen noch aus dem Jahrtausend in dem uns unsere eltern im auto mit Zigaretten so zugenebelt haben das man direkt eine teerlunge mit 3 jahren bekommen hat. Aber wie gesagt... Die teile bringen gar nichts... Absolut nichts...

Too complicated. Just use your hands

2 little pieces of Masking tape solve the hook movement issue , But they are fine for larger hooks try tying a size 20 have fun .

does the tool frey the line??

Because this tool is made for matchman fishing and your hooks too big for this type fishing.Small size hook tyer suitable for 24-18 and your fish tyer(big type) is for 16-2 size hooks.

Would have been nice to see you open it and give us a look at its size!

It's an excellent tool that I've used for years. Unfortunately your video isn't very easy to see what's happening, there are much better ones around illustrating the tools use.

i brought one to help me tie the small hooks.... it works, but really hard for me... when you use small hooks and thin rope it's really difficult to keep it in place. Thanks for tutorial !

When I saw this advertised on Facebook, they used it to tie a leader line to braid line. Have you tried this tool for that, and if so, can you demonstrate how to do it?

Do you have to use a Thermacell with the pads ? Can you not use a diffuser with a candle, placing the pad where the diffuser oil would go ?

I got this when it was on sale at walmart and i use it still after 3 years. I couldnt believe how well it works and how consistent it is. I do not use anything else anymore, at all. Great product and if you are an outdoor lover or a camper, this is a very budget friendly and amazing investment

thx mate. the tool is a gamechanger, at least for me. I fish light lines, not the heavy one, which are thick as a rope as you see in most of the videos. this tool works excellent with thin braided lines and leaders.

If that's the easier way to tie the knot, I would be scared to see the old fashion way, because that still took a solid 7 minutes to tie.....
