Hi I’m back, getting down to it, first batch of goslings ship Monday… so I have 4 orders of goslings coming from 3 different hatcheries(sorry not all from you but some are) coming over the next 3 weeks. The first batch will be on their 3rd week when the last batch arrives. Are gosling like chickens in that they gonna pick on the smaller new ones? I have a 6ft round trough to brood them in, can they jump over 2 ft sides before they get flight feathers?
The goslings are similar to chickens, in that the bigger birds will pick on the smaller birds in the group. During their first few weeks, a 2 foot high divider would be enough to keep them safely separated.
