Maybe a mom made kilts for the family from the same bolt but she made everyone noticably different. So there's not an argument every morning over kilts.
I haven't owned a UtiliKilt but I have owned a couple of other "utility style" kilts and I didn't like them. The problem is that they don't have very many pleats and the pleats aren't very deep. The biggest advantage to a kilt for active wear (IMO) is freedom of movement. The utility style kilts I have tried are more like a pencil skirt (at least how I imagine one would feel) than an actual kilt.
I considered this style because it looked interesting, but the moment Rocky said something about it looking like a tail, now I can’t get that out of my mind. Ruined it for me! Just ruined it for me!
6:51 looking for how to make/ finish a Kinguisse style kilt. This was a fun intro

Saran wrap... you went there...
I can get that vision out of my head. Saran wrap also kind of hurts... hair gets stuck. I won't go into detail.
So the box pleat in the back is the reason of the reverse knifepleats I always have to correct the under apron every time I stands up.
Now my girlfriend has an alternate timeline excuse for wearing jeans to GA RenFest. Thanks, Erik!
And how do you guys feel about full box pleats to the sett?
I think it would look good if the pleats go at the front and >< at the back where the box pleat is out of sight.
I'm late to the party, but, UT Kilts do just that, the pleats meet over the reversed box pleat in the back.
Reverse kingussie satisfies my OCD.

I always imagined that Kingussie pleats were for someone OCD who needs symmetry
Maybe it was an OCD thing. Someone wanted that had to be a mirror image on both sides. 🤷🏻♂️

I wear kilt to raise my finger at society to show them that we can have Scottish blood and still be ourselves in a modern world that hate history
