Safety Barrier Crash Test (Volvo 740)

These type of concrete highway median barriers are supposed to safely redirect cars away from oncoming traffic and other vehicles in the same lane. This particular crash doesn't prevent the car from traveling across the other lanes of traffic.

Hell yeah! It's pretty incredible actually, what a great car
Also no other manufacturer would even bother to do anything close to such exhaustive safety testing. Volvo = RESPECT !

The concrete barrier prevented the car from going over the wall and deflected the car but the speed and angle of the car did not contain it from traveling into other lanes shortly after impact. I don't know. Maybe a better designed concrete barrier could better control the car after impact. Hard to say not enough info...
