    Really awesome tank... its so peaceful even with fish that can be aggressive... but they have enough space and they're happy. Its like their natural environment. Its great... love it.

    Just incredible! What a vast array of beautiful fish. Getting to see these fish interact in this biotope is definitely an experience. Wow. It's amazing how fish act when they're in large open water where they can establish more natural behaviors. The aquascaping is beautiful! The colors of all the fish 😍 this was so peaceful. Thank you so much for sharing this today I thoroughly enjoyed the video! Hope you and your family have a blessed and beautiful day

    Awsome video. ..thanks for sharing...in detroit we have a island park called belle isle with one of the oldest aquarium buildings in the country that house native fish and fish from around the world. I love taking the family there just to sit back and watch the fish. On a side note...bass pro shops usually have a very large aquarium stocked with native fish to your area. Have a great day fish nerds!!

    It was hard to see the scale of the tank as nothing was shot from afar, would have been interesting to see a side shot. I agree on the lighting and yes I do tone that down to a medium setting with my lights. Lights cycle from med to med low to low twice a day with off during might time hours. My Betta seems to enjoy the lower lighting and takes naps. Live plants still do ok and it greatly has reduced the late since I started that program. Some fiber able has formed around his floating log but it's a good resting place for him to boot so I have left it in place. Nice look at these tanks and fish...

    I thought this was going to be Joanna’s new tank. Then I realized no Bettas and it wasn’t aquascaped well enough...
    I hope this makes people realize how much room big fish really need. We give tetras 20 times their body length to swim around in... even halving that number requires a 20 ft tank for peacock bass.
    I think Jason would add 10,000 shells, 10 of each shell dweller, and let them sort it out.

      Audri, My understanding is that tiger fish are actually quite docile. They either see other fish as food or they don’t. If they see something as food I don’t imagine it would look ruffed up. I think it would just be gone.

    • @Cgraseck
      @Cgraseck 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Audri, I don’t think they would ever be safe with fish that they saw as food, but I don’t think they are designed to tear things apart. Pointy teeth are meant for catching and holding onto fish. Not for tearing chunks of flesh off. I once knew a guy who worked at a wholesaler who had one. Supposedly it never caused any problems.

      They need to figure out the major aggressors in that tank and remove them. Many of the fish had badly nipped fins above and beyond normal aggression even the stingray was missing part of it's tail. When fish are damaged this much it causes stress and a leading cause of fish desiese in tanks is due to stress.

    I would bet on the Brycons- those silvery very generic fish shaped fish swimming in upper areas of the tank. Even in streams with miles of water? They tear into each other fins..just mutilate their own kind and no doubt take a bite of Red Devil tail fins when the two run into each other..and the Brycon is hungry.
    It's a very nicely done tank..and they did not put the Giant fish in there like Arapaima...The Cichla are so choice..if you have 5,000 gallons and up. For the smaller species? 2,000 would do.
    Brycons? ugh..look at the Dallas aquarium with them..same results and they even bit off RTC dorsal fins off. What a mistake to ever want those.

    Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing this with us! It was exciting to see. It was funny how you mentioned that one fishes teeth and then almost like he knew and flashed them for us! I’m so hooked on fish keeping!
