i just found your peppermint patties recipe and omg im running to the store to get ingredients 😅 i LOVE peppermint patties but i have a peanut allergy and the store ones arent always safe so im soooo excited to try them ! Thank you soooo much ❤
Thanks for sharing how to make chocolate caramel pecan clusters. When it stops raining here, these delicious little goodies are going to be my next project. 😊
I made them... delicious! Thank you. I think I will try adding the pecans to the carmel the next time. Oh and the carmel sauce was the bomb! I drink my coffee black but I decided to add a little of the carmel sauce I made and it is wonderful! I know it will be fabulous on ice cream... or just about anything else, lol. Thanks, again. I appreciate you taking the time to share your talent!
I'm so glad you liked them! Let me know how it goes adding the pecans to the caramel next time.
These look so much quicker and easier than making dozens of cookies! AND they would compliment my mother’s candied pecans in a pretty Christmas tin! ❤❤❤
I hope you love them if you make them!
Will try it tonight ! Cheers from Quebec City
Adding these to my candy list along with your Peppermint Patties that I made last year. Thank you so much for sharing your recipes and techniques. Easy and so so delicious ❤️ Perfect for gift giving❄️

Ty!! My husband loves turtles! I’m going to make him some for Christmas!❤
I hope he loves them!
These look wonderful. I will make some. Would you please talk about your cutting board? I am interested. Thank you.
❤❤perfect timing going to make this for sure
I hope you love them!
I made these over the weekend. I couldn’t get the caramel hard enough to dip into the chocolate without collapsing, so I rolled it into balls and dipped them into the chocolate. Now I have a problem, these are SO GOOD, they’re addicting and I can’t stop eating them. Sorry family, if I’m making these delicious little goodies, I get to eat them. 😋 😋 😋
Did you refrigerate them to harden a bit? It sounds like you may have used just a touch too much cream, but I am loving the idea of caramel pecan balls coated in chocolate!
@ I did refrigerate them, kept checking every 10-15 minutes, they were still very pliable, so I just rolled them into balls. It all worked out. 😋 I added some cream to the leftover caramel in the pan at the end to make the caramel sauce like you demonstrated in the video, and now we have a delicious sauce for ice cream, might add some rum to the sauce. 🤗
You are amazing. Thanks for sharing
Thank you!
Is the glass bowl in the Foodi an accessory for it or just any glass bowl will work. This looks so very yummy.
Any bowl should work fine as long as it sits up high enough
Any glass (or metal) mixing bowl that can rest on top is fine. The one I use is from Pampered Chef and it is the largest in the set. Here is the link: www.pamperedchef.com/pws/thesaltedpepper/shop/Outlet/Outlet/Glass+Mixing+Bowl+Set/1752?queryID=364fa28bf0c204363c524828feb07fdf
Yum Yum 🍪😘
This is my favorite
Fannie May candies made dark chocolate turtles and it got to hard to find. I only buy dark chocolate and now I can save 32.00 and make my own. Yum
Looks yummy!
Where is the recipe, printable! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas🎄🎅🧑🎄
You can find the recipe links in the video description. Merry Christmas to you too! thesaltedpepper.com/caramel-pecan-clusters/
mmm
Can margarine be used or does it have to be butter
It really should be butter because margarine will impart a different flavor and could become too oily in the caramel.
Can you make them in cupcake liners?
I actually tried that and they turned out really thick. Good, but huge and thick.
Catching the replay
No on the chocolate temperatures. If you want crisp clusters use the temperatures in tempering chocolate, melting the large blocks and using the callets for the temperature drop.
For what I'm doing, this works fine for the chocolate. Tempering chocolate isn't everyone's thing, so this is a way to get a glossy finish (and the chocolate is firm) easily and without needing to use a thermometer or worry about temperatures.
❤❤
Could I just put the pecans in the pan of caramel sauce, stir it up, then drop by spoons full onto the parchment paper?
You can certainly try it that way, but once you add the nuts to the caramel, it will cool down fast, and you might end up fighting with it to get it onto the parchment. I don't think it will save you any time, but let me know if you give it a try!
@@TheSaltedPepper OK. Thanks.
I think if your pecans are warm not cold from the fridge…they should work.
@@rozannmartin7235 I think so, too.
Quick question: Are there similar settings on the instant pot as to the Ninja Foodi, so I could use the instant pot for these recipes? Or is it worth it to just go ahead and invest in the Foodi?
I was wondering the same thing.
For this recipe, the instant pot has low slow cook and works great for melting the chocolate like I did with the Foodi. I am pretty sure it also switches to keep warm mode.
The Instant Pot also has the pressure cooking function and some other settings that are similar to the Foodi and if you have the Duo Crisp or Pro Crisp version of the IP, then you also have the air frying function.
@TheSaltedPepper thank you for the information! Can't wait to make these! 😊
Can you use the Caramel from the Produce section?
If it stays the correct consistency, you can. You can also melt down those caramel candies with some cream, but it might take longer to unwrap each one than it does to make the caramel. LOL
I hate pecans. Can I use walnuts, peanuts or almonds
Yep! Any nut will work fine.
I am a nut🤪🤪🖖🏻🖖🏻🤦🏼♀🤷🏻♀
Could you just put the pecans in the caramel? Then just scoop them on to the tray?🤷🏻♀
My 1st batch ..hard and not fun to eat
2nd batch..like a fruit roll up
I give up
Sweet 😂😂😂 you talk too much and I noticed you’re just a beginner😂😂😂😂 just like air frying the mushrooms 😂😂😂😂😂it took you ages while it only takes few minutes.
