    Surprised that Ireland didn't make it. IMO, it'd be my Number 1 for a Build a Nation. The only Work Permit Criteria is roughly a €300 p/w wage. There are no homegrown rules, no squad registration, and no rules on Non-EU players. I'm surprised Red Bull hasn't made a club there IRL, because it would be very easy to dominate the league and be a holding club for North / South American and African developing talents.

      I made this little factor of "tiers" and "teams". Tiers gave little points (up to 10% of the total sum) depending on how many there are, same as teams in the top flight (more domestic competition to build), which was higher rated. Ireland lost there.
      Oh, and the Summer Season. It's very against my preferences.
      The fact a country didn't make it into top 10 doesn't make it a bad idea though.

    • @CTxCB
      @CTxCB 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Wojtinho I have a question about that, as a database creator on FM, isn't the idea that a nation having more teams is better for building a nation is flawed? E.g: England has a lot of clubs, but the reason they have a high coefficient is as much about a tight, small number of clubs taking part in European Competitions than historical dominance. Based on that idea, a nation with less clubs competing for European Spots is more likely to push the nation through coefficients if you can help the clubs around you, because there will be markedly less clubs in the picture for those spots.

    • @Wojtinho
      @Wojtinho  28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @CTxCB What I had in mind is the long run. Say there is a 10 teams league (like Croatia) with 7 European Spots (essentially, top 4 league). Now you have 3 available slots for "other teams", 1 of them being relegated (in Croatia e.g.).
      I see a bigger amount of teams in a tier beneficial as it takes off the pressure from the managers who can focus on going far in Europa/Conference League without worrying about potentially going down.

    I'm from Bursa, Turkey and for my first career in FM24 I selected Bursaspor. I have many saves in FM24 but my bursapor save has best youth players I've ever got. I won the UCL 2 times in a row at 10th season in game and I won 2 World Cups with Turkey using players from youth team. And suprisingly a real player named "Kerem Matişli" became my first choice goalkeeper for both Bursaspor and national team

    Im in 2032/33 season with Lechia Gdansk from Poland so was amusing to see this video and that you're ranking Poland #1 :) It's been so much fun doing build a nation in Poland. The 3000 minutes of U22 players in a season is not a hard requirement, but even if you were to fail you'll only be fined ~£250k which by the point you don't have any domestic U22 players shouldn't be a problem to absorb. Highly recommended! For anyone interested in trying it, Lechia Gdansk starts in the 2nd tier, but has a fairly newly built 40k+ stadium and ok facilities so lots of room to grow. It's better to take a lower division side in build a nation so you have more big clubs available in the league that can start getting coefficient points in Europe as you unlock more slots.

    For my fm24 save I picked Denmark, so I'm happy to see it on this list. I'm playing with the Amateur side Vejgaard BK, Its 2032 rn, I just played my first european matches (UECL against Basel, got killed). Denmark is great, the registration rules aren't that great, almost all of my youth players are from abroad however, the youth rating is alright but my clubs youth recruitment is awful, hopefully it'll get better. It's been a very fun (frustrating) save, the small size of the leagues make them all every competitive, and its been pretty difficult to stay in the top flight. (Spent 3 years in the 2nd flight before getting promoted, relegated, then promoted again and finishing 5th, my current season has been horrible but I'm hopeful it'll get better, and if I do get relegated again, I'm confident in bouncing back, it's been quite the fun league. Love FM so much, its too addicting.

    In all seriousness I hope someone makes another club in Liechtenstein soon so they can get more than one club in if they happen to do well (or even just for FM purposes, I don’t care!). It makes the Vaduz challenge exceptionally hard when there is only one Liechtenstein spot in perpetuity which means having to win the UECL, UEL, and UCL in successive seasons if you do wanna win it.

    • @confusafs
      @confusafs 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There are actually more clubs in Liechtenstein, 6 more, all playing in lower divisions of Switzerland (4th to 7th tier). So it would be possible (although probably quite boring) to create a 7-team Liechtensteiner league in FM (and maybe make an 8th team up just to round the numbers :P). Now, changing the UEFA club competition rules to allow Liechtenstein to have more qualifiers, just like any other county, that would be quite a pain...

      @jackjuggernaut 29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@confusafs there are, but they need another one to qualify as a normal country would in coefficients etc. Would be great for them to get one purely just so that they’re not the exception! If Faroe Islands can do it…

    Nah man, even though I'm ukrainian myself, and playing Chornomorets Odesa every year of fm, playing in Ukraine is pain in the ass, cuz you literally have no money from League spot or TV rights. It's actually easy to place 5-6th in the first season for every team possible, but unless you're making it to group stage of any euro competition you are poor af. so first few years it's just struggling, but after 4-5 years it's pretty easy to beat Shakhtar and Dynamo in League and praying to have a weak team in Champions League play-off to get in group for this CL cash :)

    • @Wojtinho
      @Wojtinho  หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is where Moneyball walks in. Have you got any young talents to move into TOP 7/8 leagues?
      I'm asking because this is where one usually positions themselves at the start of a BaN save. Get to find some talents whether that's through youth intake or lower league clubs. Make them move to bigger leagues. Money in. Then attack Europe.

    • @SerrrNika
      @SerrrNika หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Wojtinho that's a tricky situation with this actually. Usually you want best ukrainian youngsters to stay because of the limit of 4 ukrainians on the pitch, it's like 6-7 domestic players in starting squad/1st sub, that are good enough to the level that you're playing in European competitions. Others, sure can go, but usually not to 7-8 but higher ranked leagues like France or Spain. For sure if you have some wonderkid usually someone like Arsenal or Liverpool will come to take him at low (10-15mil) price

  • @Spalato
    @Spalato 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

    What's the point of building a nation when registration rules with homegrown players seem to be a talking point? Isn't that the point of such a save to go all out Bilbao in a country that is not England, Italy, or Spain, and not have the same Colombian wonderkids wear just a different jersey?

    • @Wojtinho
      @Wojtinho  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That depends if you take the national team into account (without the possibility of getting the players naturalised of course)
      Going full Bilbao is closer to a Youth Academy save - where the only new players are from youth intakes.
      I took Build a Nation as bit of a "just take the country to first in the coefficients" rather than building an academy of players (even if it comes very handy)
      I do make sure to put that YA element to some extent in my Opava save - but I still have the freedom of signing anyone I want. And I still haven't signed a Colombian lol.
