I was fourteen years old when I watched this in theaters. When Percy rescued his mom in the Underworld, my mom turned to me and said, "You know, you could be a little more like that with me." I said, "When you're captured by the lord of the underworld, we'll talk." She cackled like a witch.
Other than that, yeah, this is not a good adaptation.

I watched the second Percy Jackson movie back then because main character was so good in Perks of being a Wallflower, but that was a big mistake. The Percy Jackson show, however, is great! The cast are actual kids, for one.

oooh yeah this movie does not do the books justice at all huhuhu (esp the second movie) the only great things we got from it was "this is a pen" and maybe lady gaga
I would highly recommend the series! they tackled a lot more plot points than the movie (since it's longer ofc) and is a lot less disappointing. Still a lot better than the movies though
but honestly, I would /love/ to watch your reaction to Sea of Monsters (both book and movie) because if you thought this was bad, the second one would surprise you

It's like when you watch the Sam Rami Spider-man movies and you see a bunch of 30-year-olds cosplaying as high schoolers 🤣 When you finish the book series(the first one) you should watch the show. It's a lot more accurate and where the fuck was Ares?!!

@@nayay.1881 I’d say that the show is better. Obviously shows and movies cannot be totally accurate to books that they’re based on, but i’d say the show is way more accurate than the movie!
