- In this video, we work on repositioning the doors to align with the front clip, install the door striker, and start attaching the foam to the fiberglass seats to prepare them to be upholstered.

I made a comment about gaps. We set gaps like 3 times before welding cage . Hope you can adjust gaps ok, My Body is going back on today and bond by end of week. With fingers crossed ,should be primmer by end of April.

I'm glad someone has taken the time to brake this down. I bought the convertible version 2 years ago and as life gets in the way I haven't found the time to dedicate to this build. I've been waiting for this video for a long time.
You will probably have to make seat brackets for these seats I just finish mine and they came out amazing. Im having the upholstery installed so its perfect. You will have to put some Masonite on seat bottom and the back as well to bolt bottom to brackets and back to the back of seat. Jimmy sent me some great pics on how to do it.
yes- check out our page- we made adjustable race /steel/ low profile brackets and dbl slider. they allowed us to mount any seat and have head room.
@@TrueSkoolMusic Your seat Brackets will not fit Vaydor seats. They have to be made. Only 11" Wide.

Also just wondering, what sort of speaker system are you going to put in the Vaydor, I would definitely recommend a 10-15 Inch Subwoofer
I haven’t looked into the speakers yet, the g35 came with a pretty decent Bose system from the factory so for now I’ll most likely stick with that, might upgrade in the future but I’m not sure

10" cerwin vega woofer with stock bose/amp for highs in ours sounds amazing. the cab area is really small. 15 + may cause to much rattle on that Fiberglass interior ??
Honestly after watching a second time and seeing 6:50. I think your front clip is sagging in the front. Lifting the front clip by shimming the radiator support with washers or even cartboard until it lines up is probably best. Also figure out if it can sit further back, which would solve your large door gap but would also require you adjust your door again to close that gap. I would not rely on the lines of the radiator support to the kit. I would make the doors fit and then instead of marking it, make pilot hole into the radiator support with alignment pins when you have it 100% perfect .
Also try removing the fiberglass headlight carriage under the front clip. It might be preventing it from sitting correctly (left to right) or from sitting further back.
Pittsburg- also watch the height across bottom of front lip. we had minor issues on all of them getting them square. left/ right but also lip should be even to ground and raised up in one corner. Good work brother!
My advice focus on getting things mounted permanently so you don’t have to keep adjusting to getting it to fit and once a component gets permanently mounted having to re-adjust what you spent days adjusting.

Since there are not anymore vaydor body kits im just going to make my own
that would be the smarter way to go - these vaydor builds are the long way around. CHopping off all the structural, welding back in roll bars, modifying windows, doors, trunk, hood and custom making each piece to fit and work correclty takes looong time. Could make this style car just foaming and glass over original car without changing so much major stuff. Then you can make it much more comfortable saving ton of time and money.
Where you up to now?
Need to keep working on those gaps. It's going to look bad if the gaps aren't perfect, and you'll never be 100% happy with it, knowing the panels aren't lined up properly.

Anyone want a pair of the vaydor seats for their custom project = fiberglass as shown here in video no foam. hit me up. they look amazing when finished but are not lean adjustable. (should fit any car really)
What is your estimate for when the project is done
project like this are never really done. . . find all kinds of tweaks and fun stuff and change things even long after your driving it. LOL

Question, why would you even want an exterior door handle? Most super cars have a hidden door pop, or electronic door pop, the handle I saw in the video looked a bit cheezy for such a build...

Sucks that Vaydor got sold to another company and now is charging 149 thousand for them to build a car yet the kit was only worth 15 thousand such a scam and isn’t selling kits anymore so rip my dreams of making one this year
Jazmin no I contacted them any they said they will not be making the kit anymore but they gave me a price for them to build one they said 149999 for them to make one but yet the vehicle is only 5 thousand for the g35 and 15 for the kit so rip that company made a mistake
