Thank you. Nicely explained without BS. My son's 96 Accord was leaking and the pan was rusty and dented. I ordered a pan and the same gasket and then found your video. I'm in the northeast so everything is rusty, but came out great and your video really helped..

Tee shirt idea for spark plug section. That gap is massive! Firmly grasp it! No need to gap them...

I’m looking for a video showing the replacement of front rotors for a 94 accord lx without the use of powered tools. If you can be kind enough to make a video that will be awesome. It’s a hub over rotor design which makes it so difficult

@@hondaresource then what would cause a constant steady tick, that speeds up with acceleration? The car has had regular 3k oil changes and valve adjustment and still ticks. Some people say Hondas just do that, then I wonder would I benefit from an engine flush?

@hondaresource Hi, nice video. I have a 99 Honda Accord. I was thinking of using the same gasket brand. The last mechanic who did it used RTV all the way around and set the rubber gasket on top. It created a worse leak. It had leakes 1/2 in 10 months. After they did this, it had been 1/2 cup until they attempted to reseal. Now it's 1 teaspoon per start up.
I read that you put RTV in the stepped areas and at the corners. Does that sound right? I'm thinking maybe it failed to seal because they used the two things together, gasket and sealant? They said that the PCV system and valve registered as normal, but they wanted to open the engine to check. I said "no." It seems like the pan just didn't seal. Thoughts?
We now have the pan out, and we are cleaning it up. I'm just not sure we need RTV. This place made me worry a lot, but I think they messed up. I saw cracks in the cheap gasket and it was bulging out.
