2023 gcse (did for my mocks) had to be the most horrendous of all time. I normally do quite well with cs, especially paper 2(theory) (AQA) almost gaining full marks. Paper 1 was actually jokes 😪. Hopefully 2024 isnt a monstrosity!
that’s grim, unlucky! tbf it’s defo way better to do badly in your mocks than the exams loads of people i know djd so well in their mocks and then they got a difficult paper in the actual exam
i remember i got 77/90 (grade 9) for paper 2 and only a grade 5 in paper 1 for my january mocks. i did a TON of python practice and got a 9 on a past paper 1 two months later though so it's fine i feel that the better i became at programming, the easier i could read algorithms and complete trace tables, so i'd really recommend doing a LOT of python problems like i did i've got paper 1 tomorrow i cant wait to get it over with :OOO
I got a grade 6 from my PPE 2 for both computer science paper 1 and 2 how can so one get a 9 from that? Also who do u get 8/8 in the 8 marker for challange s e. G ethical etc
Most importantly, find your weak spots and work on them. What topics are you worst at in paper 1, and then what are you bad at at paper 2? Once you know that, do senecas, TH-cam, past questions on those topics :) Tbh I just waffled. You have quite a lot of spare time in computer science exams imo - so i would do an essay with an intro, conclusion and 3 paragraphs.
Ok thank you :), I'd like to know how you used it and specifically what you did with the things you didn't know like did you make cue cards or anything? @@HenryBrandRevision
Ok cool :). I was wondering how you used it and specifically what you did with the information you didn't know, like did you make cue cards etc?@@HenryBrandRevision
Thanks! cs is so boring to me so its difficult to want to study but ill try these! did you do triple science? im assuming yes. could you do a vid on triple physics please? thank you ur a lifesaver!
do u think with the amount of time I have left, I can bump my computer science grade 3 to a grade 7 because I'm passionate of doing it for a-level? great content aswell thank you
While I follow my normal timtable, would two past papers a week plus an hour every day will of computer science revision in my own time help boost my grade? Or is it too much or too little?@@HenryBrandRevision
@@coderecker-lr7io idk if this will help you, but a quick fix during exam time when you're on study leave; if u have access to your older mocks or assessments from school, highlight/ note down the questions u got wrong, read through the topic the questions were under, in a (CGP) textbook (ideally Revision and Practice) for the exam board you have, and test yourself repeatedly on the topic(s) once you finish reading, until you fully get it, through exam style questions, narrowing down what you don't get. It will help you develop a basic understanding of said topic so you're more prepared during the real exam for application questions. There are still ways to get marks from questions without fully answering it if you don't get it, try going to "Physics and Maths Tutor" for some model answers on past paper questions to see where marks were awarded (and look at mark schemes too, they'll tell you exactly what you need to put down to get marks). Look at exemplar essays (for English) or model answers (for other subjects) online for things you still don't get. You have time to change ts around for yourself, so enter the exam hall with confidence, and keep a cool head. Good luck, I pray that you get good results 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I hope this video helped, feel free to leave any comments and I'll respond to them.
My next video will be explaining how to use seneca effectively
All of these videos are so helpful. Thank you!!
no worries!
Thank you so much, hopefully i can get atleast a 7 for computer science
keep me updated 🙏

Good stuff lovely spreadsheet

Thanks hopefully I can get an 8
good luck 🙏
Can you make a video on an Easter revision plan
yeah of course, I'll do that when Easter starts probs :) what would you like to see included in the video?
do u think with the amount of time I have left, I can bump my computer science grade 3 to a grade 7 because I'm passionate of doing it for a-level? great content aswell thank you
yeah for sure, but it will be difficult and you may have to sacrifice other subjects slightly.

that would massively boost it, yes!
@@HenryBrandRevisionbro I’m getting grade 3s average for all my subjects I still wanna get grade 6s I’m scared what do I do
