I’m studying digital media, business and psychology. I’m ok with the last 2 but digital media is soo new to both me and the school and I just learned that none of the people last year got A’s for digital media. If you know anyone who has just general tips or would really help a lot. And tbh I find A-levels soo time consuming I’m in skl 8 hours get back study 3-4 hours then try sleep which takes at least 1 hour but I’m just pushing through trying not to die from overwork
i’m already sick and getting burnt out! i’m doing bio chem psychology and epq. there is so much more information to remember every week 😞. thank you for this it video really helped though because i felt like i was just pushed into doing a levels without knowing what i was getting into. im glad im gradually getting on the right path😅 thanks
hi y'all probs won't read this but just remember that you are beautiful just the way you are, don't let others get you down as they are just wasting their time. and honestly you should know that you are also amazing by the things you do everyday. spread more time with your family and friends so that you can feel that there are ppl in your life who you can spend time with, cause you never know when someone is going through things and are upset and try to cheer them up! may god bless you all and your families!🙏😀
can you make a video on politics essays specifically? i wrote a liberalism one and kind of struggled with structure and how to split the paragraphs. also if there are any bits of evidence (devolution or house of lords reforms, things like that) which are more useful than others, and maybe how much detail we need?? p.s. i watched all your gcse science tips videos and i got two 9s, i really didn't think i would. thank you!
Hey man, I fell behind. And I don’t know what to do. The problem is, I have taken maths, English language and history (I want to do these and get A*s in them) so it’s a pain to learn the info again. How do I learn it all in a manageable way?
not really related to the video but do you have any advice on picking a levels? i am uncertain on what career i want in the future and i have been leaning towards a medical career recently but i am not 100% sure. i know that a levels biology & chemistry are essential to do a medicine degree, but the problem is although i enjoy maths & biology, chemistry has always been a subject i've found confusing. i know how to answer the questions and get good marks but if i can't completely wrap my head around it i don't know if i would be successful in doing it for a level if ykwim?? for my 3rd subject i'm not sure if i should do a generic medicine related one like maths or psychology or if i should do a humanities subject instead. i am interested in the law & politics courses but i am also interested in maths & psychology and i have no idea which one to choose for my 3rd 😔😔any advice is appreciated !!
do u have any tips on what to do if u have a really bad teacher? im doing a level physics and although I go to a grammar school, one of my physics teachers wastes every lesson spending 15 mins reading from the textbook and making us understand it in silence for the remaining 45 mins. I got all 9s on my gcses and i’m aiming for 4A*s - what do u recommend I do? do u think I can still get the top grade by just working hard or is that not sufficient?
This is a really good question. Hard work is definitely sufficient, but you do need to be careful. I worked incredibly hard for history but still got a B, and I think my teacher's techniques and advice probably didn't help at all. I might do a video on this to go into more detail, as it is a very good question!
I was just wondering what your biggest tip for problem solving in a level maths would be? Besides practice what would you recommend. I’ve noticed my biggest problem is struggling to visualise questions or break problems down and I constantly get demotivated after reading the question multiple times and then failing to understand it.
hiya, I personally didn't do one. They can look good for uni, if you write one related to the course you plan to do. I don't think the best unis really care that much about one, though.
my school is doing a volunteering thing to become a prefect , lots of people are doing it but there are only 7 spaces and the reason i want to do it is because i think it may be good for my ucas application , we have to send an email convincing our head of year why we should be picked for the role , idk if u did anything similar when you were in year 12 but do you have any advice for me in terms of what i should write
seneca mainly. I just did the seneca topics of the stuff I missed out. You could maybe try to watch a documentary or find a book on what you've missed?
hey henry i was wondering if it’s possible if you could do some videos regarding BTEC as I am in year 12 taking BTEC Applied Science Level 3 and have been struggling to get to grips with assignements
For now you don't need to properly revise yet. Btecs are slightly different because its a lot of coursework - so make sure you stay on top of that and do it as best as you can
I have taken A level math chem and bio because I love those subjects and my aim is quite clear (want A*s or As) but I have no clue of what after (which is quite weird) like there are so many courses at uni for these subjects and I haven’t really got much time which makes me anxious…😓
I didn't have a massive idea either when I first started college. You have at least 6 months to decide, and even at uni you can change subject - you'll be fine!
A*A*B (appealing the B though so hopefully that will become an A). Video of my reaction is on my page! I'm taking a gap year so haven't applied to uni yet.
I don't think UCAS points, because the top unis don't care about that. In short, if you want to take a STEM subject at a TOP uk uni, take FM. If not, I don't think they're worth it, no.
@@HenryBrandRevision do you think i should take further maths if i'm trying to do medicine and aiming for a top uni? im not doing it but my teacher said i dont need it
im doing maths further maths, physics and chemistry, i dont want to do all 4 of these because its gonna be impossible so im definetly dropping 1, i just switched to chem and i got a 9 in it. i dont really know exactly waht i want to do in uni but i was thinking maybe engineering or something related to it, and i dont know if i should drop fm or chem, if i drop fm do u still think i can get into a top uni? or would it be better to drop chem and do fm maths and physics
loads of my friends are in this dilemma but i honestly think u should drop fm. you will still be doing alevel maths, which would get u into any top university for a maths degree, but if you dropped chemistry it would create so many more barriers to the courses you could be looking at at university. further maths is not required for any course! my friend takes engineering at a highly regarded apprenticeship/uni thing and she didnt take fm xx
Hey, I do further maths, chem and maths too! I also take sociology as my 4th A-level (im in year 12). If you want to pursue engineering and you really want to drop one of the subjects, I would suggest you drop chemistry, considering that physics and maths is usually what u need to get into a good engineering course, and FM compliments your maths really well. However if you want to do chemical engineering, you are most likely in need of the chemistry A-level. Be sure to check your desired universities for their requirements. For me I have interest in engineering aswell, hence I took maths and physics. I could not take further maths though, as it clashed with chemistry in my school so I took chemistry instead as I am looking into chemical engineering. I am only telling you this so you can gain some kind of perspective. I hope you pursue whats right for you!
@@chloefaith4951 There is a lot of truth to this. However top universities do require FM or "highly recommend" FM for math courses. But when I say top universities I am talking about ones such as Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial etc For a maths course you can look around other Russel Group universities and see if they offer a maths course which only requires maths a-level alone.
hi, this does depend a lot on what you want to do imo. if you want to do something that doesn't involve chem, I would defo drop it. If you like maths a lot and are good at it, maths FM and phyics work so well together - so I would drop chem to be honest. The very top unis would like FM, but then again they would probably like FM along with three others. It's a difficult one. Which are you more likely to get an A* in? 3 A*s will look better than A*A*A i reckon
