This was performed on a Friday and Saturday night, 4 days before he was doing a back flip and landed and shattered his wrist and elbow - like a warrior he performed in as many songs as he was able to with the sling and the pain. Thanks for the great comment.
+BuiltForTheWeekend - He had shattered his elbow and wrist doing a backflip three days before during rehearsal for another song in the show. The champion he is, he kept on performing in as many songs as he could with a broken arm.
Ive been Mormon for 8 years. I may not agree with or understand ALL the doctrine (or ANY religion Ive been in for that matter) but Im able to laugh at the truths the musical reveals. Im just bummed out that the tickets sold out in 30 minutes in my town-- or Id go see it myself!
well dayum, first of all I have no idea how you got that many guys who sing and dance together in one place :') secondly this is pretty freakin awesome, absolutely loved all the harmony :D
This was fantastic! - I was surprised that it didn't even matter that there weren't any stage props or backdrops, it honestly wasn't needed with so much talent on stage. Kudos
You've found one of my favourite Starbound numbers. Make sure you check out some of the other songs we've done - check out our Turn It Off...lots of fun! Thanks for your comment.
Correct. He was also Jean Valjean in our Les Mis - One Day More item that I have also posted on youtube. He broke his elbow and wrist doing a roundhouse and flip in rehearsals for a Bring It On the musical item only 6 days before the performances and was a trooper and continued to perform.....
+MrMcMusic01 Make sure you look for our other Starbound videos - including our other Book of Mormon videos (one has nearly 1/2 a millions views!) Glad you enjoyed this one, we had fun making it.
You guys are awesome! Is Elder White the same one who was the lead in Turn It Off from the year before? Way to rock it with a broken arm! Great Elder Price too :)
A mixture of our wonderful MD and the band just being awesome and adding their own little something to it. MD started with piano score that your can purchase on pianofiles and using just his ear wrote our the band parts for 7 pieces plus piano for 18 songs that we featured in Starbound 9 this year. He's amazing - daniel puckey dot com
Blake Grice This is from a two week, full time music theatre workshop run every January in Melbourne Australia. We have approx 75 people take part every year and this is all of the males that took part in Starbound 9.
I saw the show at London's west end and just about fell out of my chair laughing when the guy said "mothra." I found it clever and appealing to audiences who grew up watching old Godzilla movies. Hello kitty was kind of boring to me. It's too obvious. Just curious, what were the other 2 changes besides hello kitty?
The guy with the sling is consistently amazing! Fantastic stage presence

With or without the use of that arm, the guy in the sling was awesome! I personally enjoyed his vocals best. Lots of energy. Great job!!!
He broke his elbow and wrist three days before doing a backflip in another song in our show. Like a warrior he still performed in 6 songs in the show.
He also wins tightest jeans.
that is the best compliment I've ever received HA!
I want to find all of these boys and have them sing and tap dance for me when I'm sad. These boys made my day!
this elder cunningham is actually so good i enjoyed his performance so much
The change to Hello Kitty is pure genius.
Yes!
"Elder Yolo" nice touch ;)
Aw the kid with sling kinda just bouncing off to the side 😂😂
+BuiltForTheWeekend - He had shattered his elbow and wrist doing a backflip three days before during rehearsal for another song in the show. The champion he is, he kept on performing in as many songs as he could with a broken arm.
+Jason Parker Wow that's amazing! He did a great job regardless and I admire his perseverance.
Wait, kid? How old is he; he looks like he's in his 20s
He was 18 - most of them are 16 to 21 - the workshop this is part of is for 14 to 21 year olds.
The guys playing elder Price has a magnificent voice. Hopefully he goes places. Really enjoyed this video.
But Elder Cunningham's bell-kick was so cute, I like that add in.
Dang, that's a lot of Mormons.
taurinecat like at least 2!
0dryy ehhh... maybe three at this rate.
taurinecat true
That's like an average mormon family tbf.
the unavoidable thought one makes when going to salt lake city

Dude. If you don't agree with something, leave it
auburn_mermaid you are in a cult. Mormonism is a straight up religious cult that makes ZERO sense. You can become a god on another planet huh. right.
+Blake Grice you're just filled with angst, aren't you?
stop being edgy loser
You're allowed to not agree with all parts of a faith but still believe in it it.
Geez, that guy in the sling is gonna fly right outta there at any moment . . .
I really really like this elder cunningham
Really amazing performance. Everyone was enjoying it and was castes well. Probably the best cover on TH-cam.
I love this! Especially, since they're all trully enjoying it:-)
Thanks for your comment, I think one of the greatest things about all the Starbound numbers I've posted is the enjoyment on the cast's faces.
This is for sure the best performance of these two songs I've found so far. I'm in love with these guys!
well dayum, first of all I have no idea how you got that many guys who sing and dance together in one place :') secondly this is pretty freakin awesome, absolutely loved all the harmony :D
2 out of every five gay maybe? btw no hate I'm gay so no jumping on me.
@@alexander81646 u still gay
This is SO good! I can't stop watching it, this is by far one of my favorite renditions ever!!
This was fantastic! - I was surprised that it didn't even matter that there weren't any stage props or backdrops, it honestly wasn't needed with so much talent on stage. Kudos
Really REALLY good performance!!! You can tell this was made with heart and soul and everybody shone.
A marvelous production of an outstanding musical.
Jeez you guys can sing
All the band are amazing Melbourne musicians....
Ouch! Well, he did an amazing job - I especially liked the "jazz elbow" at the end :D
This was phenomenal! I couldn't stop smiling through it all
You've found one of my favourite Starbound numbers. Make sure you check out some of the other songs we've done - check out our Turn It Off...lots of fun! Thanks for your comment.
All those men are definitely star bound. Excellent job. :)
This is part of a summer musical theatre workshop program held every January in Melbourne, Australia called Starbound.
This is 10 years ago, tell me one of them became stars.
@@rowdynunseveral have gone on to have successful careers in music theatre. All are legends in life. 😂
This is awesome. I wanna go see the actual play, it would be amazing
This is great!!! Amazing!!! Awesome!!!! I think I'm in love with cover! Great job!!!

THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD VERSION OF IT!!!
Very cool performance. I actually get to see the musical in Zurich this year. So excited :)
They're all so talented but at the beginning

Where has this video been all my life. WOW!
+MrMcMusic01 Make sure you look for our other Starbound videos - including our other Book of Mormon videos (one has nearly 1/2 a millions views!) Glad you enjoyed this one, we had fun making it.
5:29 Elder YOLO? Lmfao!
the dude who played Elder Grant is the freakin' best.
Lo máximo este show!!!!
This was incredible! Elder Price's voice oddly reminded of Hunter Parrish.
i never laughed so hard these guys are funny
THIS IS SO GOOD
You guys are awesome! Is Elder White the same one who was the lead in Turn It Off from the year before? Way to rock it with a broken arm! Great Elder Price too :)
This is amazing!!
Wow great job guys!
brilliant!
I just watched The Book of Mormon in Melbourne the other day which was amazing, did any of these guys audition for the ensemble?
A mixture of our wonderful MD and the band just being awesome and adding their own little something to it. I stan the arm cast guy
Jason, do you know who did the musical arrangement for this? it's pretty fantastic
i was a lil disappointed they didn't use all original moves but this is amazing
well done!
Why is no one talking about the guy who played Elder Cunningham??!?!?!
Elder Smith's my favorite!
The idea of Arnold Cunningham being Asian is just really hilarious to me for some reason. lol
lol he's not Asian though 😂😂😂
racist :P
Khrisna Lunandi idiotic :p
WOW!!
Where is this, my iPad isn't showing all the description. I do hope to see the full show in October when it comes to my theater.
Every time I see the actors performing in this play, my gaydar goes off the chart.
complimenti
They actually look 19!
Samuel Jones most of them will be between 16 and 21.
Reason you chose to have double the number of people on stage as the original show?
Blake Grice This scene is meant to be a shit load of Mormons waiting to be given the destination of their mission?
Blake Grice This is from a two week, full time music theatre workshop run every January in Melbourne Australia. We have approx 75 people take part every year and this is all of the males that took part in Starbound 9.
WOOOOW
there was just one guy who got the head snap wrong at the end of Hello, that's annoying :')
👏
Amazing, but they said hello kitty instead of mothra in Japan, land of soy sauce and mothra
We had a bit of fun with the lines and changed it each night.
honestly I think it makes it funnier that he said Hello Kitty instead of mothera
south park season 15 episode 11
Two week full intensive musical theatre workshop... for just guys??? LOL
why change mothra to hello kitty?
Why not? He changed it each night of the 3 performances to keep it interesting.
I never seen it except this one. I didn't know they changed it all the time :P
I saw the show at London's west end and just about fell out of my chair laughing when the guy said "mothra." I found it clever and appealing to audiences who grew up watching old Godzilla movies. No reason, just didn't own black dress pants!
jason parker are you ah mormons
No - not a mormon - a producer and director of Musicals and Music Theatre Workshops.
sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.
🤓👆
Elder Cunningham has a man bun?
o.O
Wtf did I just watch
Voices were amazing and dancing as well but acting wasnt very good.
Great job guys!
