- Maybe the hardest musical to see in Korea [Book of Mormon] 📖
The musical The Book of Mormon, which swept Broadway in 2011, tells the story of young Mormon missionaries "Elder Price" and "Elder Cunningham" being sent to Uganda, Africa. In the number "Hello!" that marks the beginning of the musical, young Mormons, who have just started their missionary work, visit each house and do missionary work with witty music and melody.
[Moon Ik-jeom Live] of Finale B, which was born after months of translation work, is a video made by the hearts of active musical actors and staff who gathered only with love for musical theater. I would be happier if this video, which was made with everyone's passion, could present a smile on your day.

This was absolutely brilliantly done, not just by the cast, but by the translation team. I followed along fine, even though i dont know a word of Korean. This cast could easily play this in Schubert Alley, and we'd be howling for more. Book it at Carnagie Hall, you will not regret it.

I think it's the lightning. It so bright that it reflects off them, making them look near artificial and unnatural, similar to how many door to door salesmen feel.

As an American musical fan I found this genuinely quite interesting.
The actor playing Cunningham really perfectly preformed.

as someone that had lived in Korea for 5 years, was raised Mormon (definitely not active now, lol, don't worry, lol), went on a mission myself, and had an aunt that went on a Mormon mission to Korea, this is the funniest thing I've seen in a while hhahahahahahhaahhaahahhahahaah

Helder Green was definitely the creepiest. The song sound really good in Hungul. If it ever becomes available online with subs I will definitely watch it! I think the musical will make an absolute smash in South-Korea, the country of 100 000 churches, 300 known active cults and world's second largest number of missionaries after the US. It will feel like another Tuesday for them . But way funnier 😂

As a Korean-American person who's loved Book of Mormon for years, this was amazing! Everyone did an incredible job, I'm totally showing this to my mom (who saw Book of Mormon a few years ago and also loved it)!
Elder Cunningham is a total star, but Elder Grant and Elder White are really great here too.
And the film crew deserves a lot of credit too. It looks great.

I was not expecting a version of _Hello!_ from _The Book of Mormon_ in Korean. (Was anyone?) The Korean cast captures the fresh-scrubbed, wholesomeness (and underlying looniness) of the original perfectly.That 괜찮죠? 1:18 [the “Sound good?” line in English] just cracks me up. The lyrics somehow manage a Korean version of that climactic (and clever) transition in the original version: “So you won’t burn in…Hell-o!” A magnificent job.
_Adding:_ Watching this video a few more times, I noticed all these delightful little touches: Elder Cunningham getting ready for his big entrance 1:32, 1:33, 1:34, 1:36 and then flashing a million-megawatt smile 1:54 after being told to stick to the approved dialogue. (Byungchul Yang comes across as way more charismatic than the dweeby Elder Cunningham in the 2012 Tony Awards opening.)
The "finding popular musical via Korean version randomly recommended to me" pipeline has been great.
