I've tried! When D'Arcy was still in Smashing Punpkins, she picked a guy who was between one guy and me. Probably because I was still very young or perhaps she wanted to pick a guy. I don't really play electric guitar well so I don't offer myself to be embarrassed. I prefer to enjoy someone who knows and enjoy their instrument. And bands mostly invite guitarist or drummers. But I've sung with local bands many times and I always enjoy it. No pressure, no shame. Of course I always volunteer too for huge international bands if I know the lyrics but I've never been picked.
If any "Lars sucks" people read this, can you please explain why? Genuine question. I've read and heard that so often... But I listen to Ride the Lightning or Master of Puppets and he sounds phenomenal. I'm truly confused.

Since I mostly listen to the albums as well, I don’t much care.
There’s such a huge difference between metal bands doing this and mainstream popstars doing it. You can see that these artists know they were the influence for those peoples talent and passion, and they’re not taking that for granted. They know the impact they have and they didn’t hesitate to share their spotlight. Metalheads are a bunch of softies and I love it lol
Greenday are such a fun band to see live. When I saw them back in 2009, I think they ended up pulling 5-6 people on stage during the course of the show to play stuff. They really like to get the crowd involved. :)
I went the other day and they pulled 2 people up, one didn’t know the song and threw people out the way just to get up on stage but the other was actually an amazing guitarist
Saw them at Download once, dragged people up onstage and them made them stage dive into the crowd, one girl had clearly never done it before and full on cannonballed onto some poor guy

Musicians are always performing for us. So when they get a chance to sit on our side of the table and let one of us perform for them, they genuinely love it because not only does it show how much we love their music, but they love to see a good performance as much as we do.
Steve from Phillie actually did a damn good job. The full video of him playing with A7X was really awesome to watch. Pretty sweet to see the stars let the members of the crowd on stage to jam out with them. Making those Kodak moments
I was there when the kid “Steve from Philli” played with Avenged Sevenfold and NAILED Unholy Confessions. It was his 21st bday and Sin was mind blown at his skills. So awesome! Great Night at Hershey Park!
Been a dream of since i was a teenager to play his guitar on stage with crazy that hes doing harmonies with them which is pretty nuts for some random guy from a crowd to be doing with a live metal band.
Kiss Guy is awesome. Balls out ready. Love Kiss Guy. If anyone has ever performed before an audience they will know why. Much less a large one. Kiss Guy killed it in every way.

The Eddie Van Halen one is easily my favorite. The guy was scared to death , but still did a great job.
