Just found you! You are simply the BEST teacher I've ever seen! (Trust me I spent hours looking and learning for piano 😂) you're so clear and easy to listen to, thank you!!
I'm 3 years into piano (self learner). I'm a lifetime member of a well known music platform, had many other online courses and watched so many TH-cam videos. This is definitely one of the best that I've watched so far. The section on passing notes is tops: I've watched people do that and wondered "What the heck has she just done there???". Now I know exactly what! Thanks and keep it coming please👍!
Wow thanks for the kind words! I do try to make sure I cover everything in a way that understandable and actionable. I feel a lot of YT lessons miss that, which is partly why I started the channel. More to come!
I watch a lot of music tutorial videos for guitar, bass, and piano. This is the first time I've come across your videos, and you had me in the first minute (that's when I hit Subscribe). You're a great teacher. Perfect explanations that are neither too fast nor over-explained. You say exactly as much as you need to, and you make what you're explaining sound clear and simple to follow. Nice... looking forward to more!
This is the perfect lesson for me. I am about 10 months as a beginner. I was just starting to get bored (FYI--never bored playing piano). Your lesson has jumped me to the next level. Thank you.....
You such a fantastic teacher. Thank you so much. I started playing in February this year. I have 10,000 hours in my sights. I’ve done nearly 600 hours so far since February
Worth watching piano lesson I’m grateful, that you taught me the passing tones techniques and how to add more melodic rhythm to playing this instrument. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. GB
Thank you for making this video! It's exactly what I was looking for. You explained things so clearly and at a perfect pace. I'm going to go check out your channel. God bless.
Really love this video. Hope you will never turn off this video, so I can always watch and practice myself. Also subscribed already to your channel. Thank you so much.
Thank you, this is one of few systematic videos on piano accompaniment on TH-cam. I always adored piano patterns in 'Better than I' song in 'Joseph the Dreamer' Dreamwork cartoon. Could you please make an pattern analysis of that one, please? 😊
Some great tips! Been trying to figure out a fairly simple way to integrate my left hand into my playing and your idea of 'octaves' was great! My hand is sore from the stretch! Thanks 🙂 My chosen pattern for this: Em Bm C G Em | Em Bm C D Em. Using my Yamaha POS into my laptop triggering Absynth 5 - takes me right away from here 🙂😲😛
Oh wow I just jammed on those, and i love that chord progression! On your octaves get those fingers relaxed, and try at an angle. Its all in the wrist :)
Nice tutorial and like your clear explanation but it would have been nice if I could hear how they are played. I'm a long time self thought musician and play chords better than notes. Having difficulties counting notes which affects my rhythm, sometimes.
Hey there, i did play all of them as examples. But if you want some more ideas of chord patterns I like to use, you may want to check out this video - > th-cam.com/video/rIZ3dq6kVls/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for watching and hope you found this video helpful!

Is there a printed chord or note sheet available for the rythms & apperigo notes shown??
I'll look at creating one and add that as a resource to the community notes, great idea!
Thank you Bro, we will appreciate it more if you put it in a song please.
Thats a great idea, I can definitely make another video with some song examples!
Are there any chord rythm for church hymnals???
I could def make some, thats pretty complex though and would needs its own video :)
❤
❤👏👏👏👏👏
Very nice. Very common progression - plagal half cadence using the Dorian IV
absolutely, definitely my go-to's!
There's Dmin written and you're using D maj
Thanks I caught that after uploading, I'll add a note in the comments :)
Seriously? That was a great tutorial and all Marc can do is criticise the one tiny error that makes no difference. At least pay the man a compliment!
Need to see what keys you’re hitting for us losers
Very helpful, thankyou 😊
