9:35 In addition to demist & de-ice, window heat is primarily to keep the glass warm to ensure it does not become brittle (for want of a better word) so that it maintains its integrity/flex should something hit the window.

What a beautiful aircraft! I like how one doesnt need to mess with so many things you have to do manually in a B737. I'm more for short haul flying though as I'd probably die of boredom on a 12 hour flight in this thing.
Nah usually it feels quite satisfying, start a 15hr flight wait til TOC then estimate how many hours until your TOD and go to sleep and wake up in time for your descent and arrival
I already know how to fly the 777, but saw this on my recommended and decided to have a look and you sir is a really amazing teacher, for any beginner id really recommend it, Thank You:)

38:40 you're wrong here. One CTR Fuel Pump is load shed before engine start. Perfectly normal.

Hi , Great tutorial; to the point and concise. Help me, too ! I have a question: cant enter the inertial ref. number when prompted. I put it in the scratch pad but no boxes appear and thus no entry.

First of all a big thanks for you because you explain the overhead panel very well thanks captain I have a question once I am in the final approach I disconnect the auto pilot I received couple of warnings terrain ahead cushen and everything is well organized o follow the checklist in addition the landing is Ils so please If you have any idea let me know thanks again

Thank you for the nice tutorial! It looks not too different from the 737, though. Also, the 737 does support loading flight plan and wind info too, it is not limited to the 777.

Yeah the HDR lighting was a bit too bright on this one, but overal the PMDG 777 cockpit needs an update too (which is in the works luckily) :)
Does the 777 need an external APU or can the plane start self contained?

Hi there, I have an AMD A10 with 12gb ram, solid state 1tb hard drive, AMD radeon 3D 2gb graphics. Do you thing that is good enough to run prepar 3D whit the pmdg boeing 777 ? Thank you for your answer, I hope you can help me.
Pablo Andrés Uribe It will definitely run but it will be choppy and may not be that smooth, i recommend at least a 4 gb graphics card for prepar 3D like a 1050ti
Hi, is it possible to start a new flight and spawn with the PMDG 777 already in Cold and Dark mode? Everytime I start a flight I'll have to turn it into Cold and Dark mode by myself, which isn't very realistic :(

how come the inside of your 777 looks so good and colorized??
Very entertaining video, not to be persnickety, however on the #1 FMC, the lower right Dzus fastener is not correctly latched. It’s showing a lateral orientation not longitudinal like all the others, time to call Maintenance!

im in class right now, waiting to go home to fly the 777 on vatsim, so im learning the 777, I use simbrief but I dont like how the fuel information is placed in the flight plans, what do you use for flight plans? and is it free?
I'm using Simbrief too, but in this video I'm using PFPX which is payware. Keep in mind you can use different templates of different airlines in Simbrief, some may be more to your liking than others :)

Hi AviationPro, this is an excellent video (even sept. 2018, still valid), thanks! I'm just surprised the A/T L and A/T R switches are set to "ARM" position on cold & dark. This remains true for lastest PMDG 777 for Prepar3D v5 (March 2021). IMHO it's not realistic (they're turned off just after landing). However they can be turned off by C&D, simply by editing "777 CLDDRK.sav" file, and replacing both "ATArmed_L=1" and "ATArmed_R=1" (two consecutive lines) - by replacing 1 by 0.

Auto throttle arm switches on the MCP are not switched off in normal operations
something i have issue with is when i had made my route and i'm in destination in 10-15 minutes and i'm like in communication with the tower and it says "u have to landing in this runway" etc. how can i like change my route to the runway in FMC arrival or how works FMC arrival? pls help thx

Simply select a new arrival and runway in the DEP ARR page, it will replace the current one. If there are any discontinuities you should manually remove/fix them.

The flight planning of the 777 is all good and well until you do a missed approach and don't know what the heck to do now. The flight plan is just finished and you can't put in anything else, if you're in IFR conditions your basically fucked. Is there any way to do a manual route in the fmc?
Yeah I think that's some kind of bug with the PMDG 777, it's time to finally update this bird but it keeps getting postponed :(
