    You need to advise people attempting to do this repair that you must wear
    a wrist earthing strap. Otherwise a shot of static electricity will "fry" the electronics. Good video!

    Well done video. No stupid music or radio voice over. Why are so many of the other videos showing removing the motherboard when they are just replacing the screen? Seems like risking damage for no reason.

    Makes it easier to take pieces of cardboard, a couple inches long , and as you pry it apart, place them in between the two pieces.
    Same thing for the digitizer, so the adhesive doesn't stick again.
    ALSO, It's much better and safer to use plastic tools, not metal.

    It is exactly how I did it for my first time and everything worked. Thanks.

    Great tutorial. I’ve ordered a screen replacement kit from amazon as well as a screen repair tool kit but I don’t have the extra adhesive like you used in this video. Does the new screen not already come with adhesive on it? And I’m having the most difficult time removing the back housing.

    How can I test the new digitizer without installing it? I saw you plug it in but I don’t understand how to test it.

  • @prof8957
    @prof8957 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    What model number is your Tab A? Most I can see in YT are full assembly replcement of LCD and digitizer for the Tab but not yours, which is digitizer only. Mine is Tab A 2019 T295 LTE and it seems the digitizer is fused with the LCD and not that easy to replace as you did with yours! I could only guess yours is 2017 model which is different from the later models.

    So I replaced the screen, but it won't turn on or even charge. When I dropped it, the screen kinda flickered off, could it be a battery issue? And would I be able to replace that as well?

    What about the lcd...the main screen under the digitizer.

    • @bassinbillRC5300
      @bassinbillRC5300 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The LCD digitizer is below the touch screen glass the touch screen glass has a flex cable that senses your touch and send that signal to the motherboard via the flex cable.

    • @Alazim7890
      @Alazim7890 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is different, the sm-p205 touchscreen-lcd-digitizer come in one set. It is difficult to separate the touchscreen from the lcd because of the OCA (optical clear adhesive) glue that keep it tight. Well, you can search it in youtube about it.

      @@Alazim7890 Hello sir. So it is not possible to reglass the SM-P205?

    • @Alazim7890
      @Alazim7890 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@renrenboreta366 Hi, Renren. In that case, reglass (or changing the touchscreen only) of Samsung P205 is possible if someone want more cheaper way to repair it. I have tried it once, and it was successful. You need some LCD seperator wire 0,08mm. A lot of procedures and tutorial on youtube.
      //The "key" to is the heat must be correct to makes the OCA glue softer, and let the wire go thought the LCD and touchscreen easily. If the glue already hard, heat it up again.
      //Cleaning the LCD from the OCA glue using thinner and isopropil alcohol.
      //Apply the new touchscreen, don't forget to glue the side using T7000.

      @@GamersXnostalgia the small cables (if I can call them that) inside appear to simply be slid into place and nothing else. But they are also locked down by tabs that you must flip up to free the cables. Otherwise, you will break them when tugging.
