I’ve seen a lot of ppl that switch over from warehouses that service Grocery stores to a Sysco or Mclane/Us Foods struggle a lot at first cause the sticking labels on each case and having A and B pallets with stop sequence completely throws them off but once you get a hang of it Foodservice selecting is pretty easy just requires a bit more focus than regular throw and go selecting

In your probation, they advise work slowly, but I worked hard and fast and got 100% in all three areas, and I registered since they used to gave me 300 case batches nonstop litter back breaker.
I briefly worked at Sygma, and the order ticket gives you the location in zones. Once you know the lay out of the warehouse it becomes muscle memory and you know where to go after that. Some have voice command and some you just read off the tickets.
Finna start order selecting at Sysco, I’m in training right now. I’ve picked before at dollar general warehouse but it’s nothing like Sysco fr. We used to run double jacks, it’s triple at Sysco and dollar general warehouse uses the vocalx headset, Sysco don’t. I’m definitely ready to get on the floor and start working on my stacking and learning the orders & where the product is. That incentive pay is crazy, you can make some serious money in there fr.
Hi. Do you have like a routine of how to start your pallet in the cooler? In the dry I go by a 7 tie freezer I use a 9 tie but the cooler always gives me issues. Thanks in advance.
Having music makes so much of a difference. My job uses the Jennifer system (similar to Siri) talking back n forth for 12 hours while picking is drainingggggg
You make it look easy. Just started like 2 months ago and I went from 50% to now a 80%. I move faster than this (movement) and I still don’t hit 100%. Maybe it’s cause I’m touching the boxes more than once (re org) or my warehouse works different. Idk what else to do but call more “new containers” (vocelect gives 1 min to “go get an extra pallet”) but if I do any more than 5 containers (labels) for a two pallet 100 square inch order (50 each pallet) they gone be on my ass for calling too many on such an order. Idk where I’m going wrong. Perishable btw.
It takes time and learning from faster selectors. Don’t follow everything they say tho, just the tips that help you. I started 2 months ago and I’m around 110% daily. Big mistake is trying to “run” before learning how to stack
Totally number slave work game, start off we need 70%80%90%100% 120% you get a lunch special and management get$$$$ work at your pace but be productive.
Nice stacking. I picked for Sysco but couldn’t do nights anymore with a kid on the way. I’m picking for Safeway it’s nice cuz every pallet goes to one store so no bulging by zone. But because of that the standards way harder. I was pulling 130-140 at Sysco in the dry now I run my ass off at Safeway and get like 110 I’m like bruh 🤣
Most of the cases are a decent weight for me because I’m not weak 😂 but someone that’s not as in shape may consider light cases to me to be heavy for them.. In the cooler department there are a lot of heavy cases.. beefs, chiccens, and potatoes and onions.. only department is the freezer which has the light cases.. so if you wanna work in the wherehouse be prepared to LIFT!!
Yeah I’m already in the gym working out. I currently work in a warehouse but we only lift 50 so I was just checking to see how different it’d be. I appreciate the response!
Yea havin previous wherehouse experience is always helpful and working out is good.. those 50 pounds you doing is nothing so if you thinking bout upgrading wherehouse increase your workout
They almost failed me on my pre employment physical years ago for Sygma. They have you lift boxes with different weights in them and stack while they monitor your heart. It’s definitely a very physically demanding line of work.
I just got the job and start in 2 weeks. I've drive forklifts and used regular electric pallet jacks, but never the ones that you ride. Is it hard to learn? They said we get 2 weeks training, but not sure if this is included.
They take you to ends of the warehouse that are not as traffic jammed so you don’t impede the other guys and your trainer gives you the run down and has you get familiar with going up and down the aisles. It is a bit different getting used to the speed and narrow tight spots cause you got to really move or you’re gonna piss guys off.
@@ryanboyle3147 Ya I already quit that job and found something that's not basically slave labor. Sysco also told me they wouldn't hire me after the 90 days if I didn't get 100%. That's bullshit, they should've told me that at the interview. Not breaking my back just for a shot at this meat grinder.

If your still in the current batch you can reprint but if you complete and that happens then you’ll have to peel it off or supervisor has to reprint it from there stuff
I already kno where the case is going before I even touch it.. Rearranging is something I do with in Limitations because it’s too much time and slows you down..

@@Orderselector appreciate you bro one more question so i was in training my trainer said only loook at the sos one time then go how many times do you typically look at it per slot
That speed with a talkman is about 80%. Scanning and stickering every box is so much slower. Not hating or anything. I'd be just as slow if I had all those extra steps.
@Sysco Cooler Selector I'm not calling you slow. You just don't pick as many cases per hour as someone using a headset. I know you watch my videos cause I remember you asking me how I made them. When I count your cases per minute, I'm pulling about 5 more per minute because I don't have to sticker them. Based on cases per hour, you are pulling about 45% fewer cases than me when I'm pulling only 100%. Percentages mean nothing except to people in your warehouse. Every warehouse has different standards and different obstacles. 170% in my warehouse is not possible and if it were it would be about 550 cases per hour. At that rate we would only need 3 pullers in freezer. Lol

I work for walmart in the freezer n thats a 100 maybe. I need to get a job where you're at
Beast mode 🔥
170% if the rates are low lmao. Try picking 170% when you have to pick 300 boxes in 45 minutes.
Bro so when you go i notice you hurry up and drop box without really looking at the pallet then you move it again if the spot look crazy
I already kno where the case is going before I even touch it.. Rearranging is something I do with in Limitations because it’s too much time and slows you down..
@@Orderselector makes sense so as you riding to the next location do you look or you don’t look at yo pallet at all?
Just tryna pick up some habits before i start picking here
Yes I’m looking like 4 5 locations down.. preparing myself for the next cases
@@Orderselector bet so you jus look at yo sos once & jus remember them next 4-5 spots and just go
Question what’s your stacking strategy?
Depends.. if I kno the order I stacc it the one way I find easiest and do it the same everytime but if it’s a random order or different random stops, I keep it level all around
@@Orderselector appreciate you bro one more question so i was in training my trainer said only loook at the sos one time then go how many times do you typically look at it per slot
Per slot ? Once but i frequently checc it but wen I do that I’m checcin 3 4 slots ahead to prepare for the next item
Any questions hmu bro I got the answers
@@Orderselector question i just finish my first day and i ran low at like a 60% to boost your rate when do you press enter to get to the next batch
Whats not easy is have management that dont hold workers accountable. Hands down one of the worst ran wearhouse I've worked in.
They test for thc in legal states?
Ya
It’s a warehouse dude lol of course a company like that is gonna drug test you and if you get fucked up on the job for sure they gonna check you out
That speed with a talkman is about 80%. Scanning and stickering every box is so much slower. Not hating or anything. I'd be just as slow if I had all those extra steps.
If 150 for the week is slow.. IM A TURTLE😂💯
Lol
😂 I gotcha.. I prefer the wearable.. not too big on labeling and zoning but hey 🤷🏿♂️part of the job
Man they must give yall lil more time
lol why you say that
My man just stacking tho that’s was easy shamrock wants u have 4 different stores on two different pallets and be able to fit it all on two pallets no matter what
how hard would u need to work here to make 1k?
Crawl on my knees
Do they let you record?
Damn you do it so easy
Where the videos at
Editing one right now dawg.. finna drop probably tonight tomorrow
How u pull them stickers so quick lol
Come wit time brother 😂
Can you wear headphones?
