- Have you ever wanted to see a Hallmark Christmas town? Well, then you should definitely check out Dahlonega. It is one of the best Christmas towns in the south. Right after Thanksgiving each year they host the lighting of the square. It is beautiful and so full of the holiday spirit. Seeing the lighting of the square in Dahlonega is a great way to kick off the holiday season.

I lived in the Atlanta area for 12 years and Dahlonega was by far one of the coolest towns in Georgia. I’ve been all over the state many times and Dahlonega gets five stars.

We haven’t done a tree lighting event before. Will have to one next year. Not use to see you guys not in hiking atire. What a beautiful event with the lights, music, and even horse carriage.
Is it really cool event that's the second time we've been! Still haven't taken a ride in the horse carriages though. Maybe next time!

@@NickandRachel An excellent day hike just down the road from here is Woody Gap and you can easily hike up to Preachers Rock on the AT within an hour.

What day do they decorate for Christmas? Would love to go around Thanksgiving time . I want to make sure I go when all the decorations are up
They will be doing the lighting of the town November 24th. So if you go anytime after then you'll be good.

It's really pretty right now! Yeah there's designated parking around the city there's also a big parking deck It's pretty easy to find.

As you may see in the vid of Surfing Santa Cocoa Beach on Kayak7seas, it was freezing cold, zero Celsius. Surfers in Santa costumes showed up, and so is the audience. We had a hard time finding parking. Look forward to seeing you, two in the water. If you have never been to Burgess Fall, you must. It has a kayaking launch and also a hiking trail. You can enjoy viewing the waterfall from the land and the water. I am grateful to get to know you who are one of the gifted couples.
