Here in the UK a chap has taken a similar idea to create sweets that appeal to older people, especially those with dementia. The idea is to help keep them hydrated. Fascinating.
I saw a video about him a few months ago!!! I think it was his grandmother that wasn't getting as much fluids as she needed and he came up with a "drop" that was sweet and gave them a certain amount of hydration and because it was sweet and tasty, encourages elderly people (and maybe other disabled people as well) to eat them.
I remember him saying that he hoped soon this would be found in nursing homes and hospitals all over the world. Amazing idea and invention!!

They kind of remind me of a couple of brands of gum, back in the '80s, that had liquid centers. Gonna pop that zit.
I remember Fresh n Up. It had a a gel center in different flavors and matching color of the gum.
That type of gum was the only gum, that my mom would chew.

Me mum makes it without the spiral thing. White fish. Pound to a paste. Add salt+MSG to taste. Roll up in plastic wrap and steam. The pink part is just dyed but it's all the same lol.

I've had the original ramune soda and, looking at the ingredients, it seems like it's supposed to be lemon flavour?! It tastes like bubble gum to me! What does it taste like to you??
It is supposedly supposed to be lemonade, but it tastes just like double bubble!

Tastes kinda like Sprite to me, imo. Its rare to find here, but when I can get it, I love it! It's so good.

To me it tastes exactly like a classic Swedish soda called “sockerdricka”, which translates literally to “sugar drink”.
